Weight Loss How to Get Rid of Cellulite!? Jun 10 2008

Sunless tanner is a good way to hide it.  Take it from me, when I loose weight it is not as noticeable but still there.  I sunless tan and it almost looks gone at a glance.  Try it.

I quit smoking Jan. 30, 2006.  It was the hardest thing I ever did.

1.  I really wanted it.

2. I used the nicotine patch

3. I had support from my husband, he quit too.

4. I did go near my triggers for about 1 month.

5. I went through the entire system of the nicotine patch even though I thought I could make it with out them after the 2nd month.

Good luck.

Okay I am going to get you in the door. The rest of the post will keep you there.

When you walk in that room or into her vicinity, talk directly to her, look her right in the eyes. Be smart, funny and interesting.  Listen carefully to what she is saying and keep the eye contact. Make her feel that she is the only person in the room who matters. Always respond to her conversation, this acknowledges you hear her.  And teasing her to make her laugh during your conversation is always welcomed.

What we look for is someone who touches us inside.  If your going to get her you will know it right then and there.  If she is not interested, then move on.  She's out there for you.

Hi.  I need a buddy to motivate me.  I have been loosing since March 18th. I started CC about 3 weeks ago.  It's been a good tool.  It is hard to loose at this age!!!  I want to be healthy and live longer.  I will not lie, I also want to look good again.

I started at 234 and today I am at 207.5.  my goal of 175 is for starters.  My biggest fault is working out.  I would love to buddy with someone who does,  that would motivate me.  I am doing well at  counting calories and sticking to for the most part.  I try to eat what I like and make it a life style change.   Lets  all buddy up

Weight: 207

Goal: 175 for starters

Built: Large (again per the wrist test)

Sex: Female

Age: 48

Weight Loss Weighing your breasts May 27 2008

Mr_t,

Are you sure the bucket of water procedure is accurate?  How would you determine how much weight you are holding up with your stance while dipping?? lol.. But really really.. I was also wondering how much my breast weight.   The reason I asked is because my mother had boobs my size 38DD and she weighed herself right before her mastectomy (she had breast cancer) and then when she got out of surgery she weighed her self again and she told me she lost 10lbs.  She only had 1 breast removed.  Since then I always wondered if they really weighed around 8 - 10 lbs each.  I know the mass in side needs to be considered.  But you are much larger then me, and you say combined 8lbs.  ??  Seriously asking.

The best random acts of kindness for me are the ones I give.  The feeling is so much better as the giver.  Don't you all agree?

One of my favorites is the day a very old looking man was in the gas station saying he was lost, he was driving a car and I thought he needed directions, but soon I found out he was confused.  I asked him if I could drive him home and maybe someone could get his car later. He was not having any of that!.  I recognised the name of the street he said he lived on and suggested that he follow me.  I was late for an appointment already, but I could have cared less at this time.  I knew I had to get this man home.  I drove him slowly all the way to this street.  At a stop sign I saw him getting out of his car, he came to my window and said " You are a doll, that is my house over there".  I said "Sir, I am scared this might happen to you again, and you might not find yourself, following a kind stranger".  He just smiled at me and walked back to his car and pulled into his drive.   I felt really really good for days about helping that kind old man.  I hope he finally gave up his license.

Weight Loss What can I drink and still lose weight? May 22 2008

Vodka and club soda/seltzer. Your calories are all in the vodka which should be if I am correct. One of the lowest in alcohol. But watch out. They go down like water.  Let me know if I am wrong about the vodka being a good chose if I have a drink..anyone who is ..objective that is...hehe

Ah ha,  I have found you guys!  I am newer, been in CC for about 2 weeks.  I was wondering if there were only 1 or 2 of us older folks.  I am 48 and a I was a whopping 234 now I am bouncing between 205 and 211.  I am a big bouncer.  I want to be 170ish by end of summer.  I have not done the exercise ball - I have been on one before and found you have to be a little co-ordinated to use it.  I am trying to get motivated walking.  Anyone out there that can move me..please feel free to try.  I have been doing well with the food log using Monday - Friday, trying for the weekends too.  I am glad to see men on the site.  That is always encouraging.  I am also a first time blogger.  Is this blogging? Does anyone know?Embarassed

Fiber chewables are a must for me.  I know that is helping me also. But..er..so imbarraced.  Does any one have a problem out there with passing too much gass on these?  I am starting to worry about that...I think today it is a run to the drug store and beano for me.  Anyone else having an issue with that?Embarassed

Any how ...

Hey Opalglassman,

I am new too just on this site for about 2 weeks.  I have gained really fast like that before, maybe 40lbs in 1 year.  I sort of know what you mean.  I quess the trick really is a life style.  Your young but you are going to have to set your mind to eating correctly for the rest of your life.  Your weight is serious if you are embarrassed to be with friends.  I think you might be in the right place.  Set your goal, work towards something and stick with it!    Start logging in every morsel you put in your mouth.  One you meet your limit.  That's it you are done.  Keep the work outs up and before long you will be running a Marathon!  I wish you the best, you are my sons age.   Nice to meet you

I love the show too, but this season is all over the place for me.  It is also getting confusing or is it frustrationI am feeling.  I don't know.  I am not giving up on it yet.  I have too much couch potato time invested in this show.  I will keep that website for future missed shows.

Isn't tonight the first part of the season's finally? Scary. I heard that the finally will be 3 hours long 1 hour tonight and 2 hours the next time it shows.  Are they skipping a week?

Health & Support Water question? May 12 2008
17:07 (UTC)

Positively I am with the Coach on this one.  I am trying loose and I am drinking  water like a fish every day, I try to gulp 81 oz in a day..I am dropping the lbs's. However I think if you chug a ton of it and get on the scale right after, you will see additional pounds.. Maybe only 1 or 2. my experience.    But the next day I am still loosing.  And not retaining water.

Hi!  I am newer too.  I've just started end of March to change my life. I joined this site about a week ago, and I am loving it!   I am down about 20 lbs.  Yikes right now it's the scale trick, you might know it, where you are at 22 lbs 1 day then 19 then 23 halalula you are down 25!!!!.. today it is a sold 21 for three days! (please let that stick for a week or soLaughing)  Any way... I can give you this.  You must think of it as a life change, I kept thinking of it as a diet in past tries (I've had many diets I lost on before) and I had the Doritos sitting in that cabinet for my little treat when I lost some weight.  Now they are gone!  Put some nuts in your house and munch a few of those as your treat. See if they don't give you the salty fix you need.

I think I am doing well with the food for now.   You know how when you are loosing and you start feeling good about your looks?  That always helps me with the food.  It motivates me to eat right. What I need help with is to keep moving!  I am trying,  but I need some one to buddy with me on exercise.  I like to walk, how about you?

I need to loose about 30 more lbs just to get healthy.   Yes I was that over weight!  I stopped smoking and food was my fix.  It's been over 2 years and not 1 cigarette.   But I feel like I weight 500 lbs too much for my poor back and knees.  I want to look great and feel great too!

Tonight I am going to fast walk 2 miles at my local track.   Want to buddy and update each other tomorrow?

Not only does my face turn red, but my whole head sweats!  I am taking a beginner Palates class at my community center and I am the only one who is all red and dripping with face sweat.  It is embracing.  The only thing I can say for us red facers is that it shows how hard we are working
