Maybe because you were sick and you were eating less? |

What do you normally eat for breakfast? Making an egg beater omlette or something like that would be filling and may curb your hunger for longer, and still wouldn't be too many calories (60 calories for a whole container of egg beaters, which is the equivalent of 3 eggs, I believe). What do you bring to work to snack on? |

| Young Calorie Counters | Do you still feel flabby/fat even though people call you skinny? | May 08 2008 17:23 (UTC) |

chblacks, I think that's true for many but not all people in their late teens to early twenties - the ability to eat whenever one is hungry, without packing on the pounds - but I'm sure a good portion of the posters in this thread actually do have trouble maintaining or losing weight, hence being a part of this website, right? Surely not everyone in here is self image obsessed to the point where they need to see a doctor about their 'body image problems'. That was a little rude on your part, I think. I know that I can't eat whatever I want and still maintain my weight - I used to be that girl. Now I have to work to maintain my weight. I do realize, however, that I can't take my youth for granted so I still appreciate the body I have now because this is probably the best it's going to be, haha. Anyway, I don't think there is a problem in trying to look the best that you can look, even if you are only in your late teens. Just so it doesn't become a problem and as long as everyone is appreciative of their youth while they have it, you know? |

| Fitness | When taking a day off from working out... | May 08 2008 17:09 (UTC) |

I was just thinking the same thing when I woke up today! I run for about a half hour to 45 mintutes every morning, but it's been pouring since I got up and my right arm is killing me from playing tennis yesterday, so I decided to take the day off from running and lifting. I run and work out every day, so I shouldn't feel bad about this, but I feel so guilty, like I'm going to gain ten pounds or something today as punishment. I'm just going to make up for it by eating super healthy today - I made oatmeal for breakfast, I'll have a hard boiled egg as a snack this afternoon, and I'm making salmon with spinach and broccoli tonight - then I'll get back to my routine tomorrow. |

This is a good idea for a thread! Height:5'5" Starting Weight: 128 Goal Weight: 120 by june, and, ultimately, about 117 by the time I go back to school at the end of august. Part you want to tone up: Favorite part: My butt! |

I would go with the mediterranean grilled salmon salad because it's healthy and still has some substance because of the salmon, unlike a lot of the other salads which are basically just lettuce. If it's a big portion, you can bring some home and eat it for lunch tomorrow. :) |

| Weight Loss | "Optimal weight"?? | May 04 2008 14:13 (UTC) |

I agree with everyone in here - 130 pounds for a 5'11" girl is pretty much absurd. That's the build of a supermodel. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs and I consider myself to be thin- if I were 7 inches taller, that would just be ridiculous. Shoot for 150-170! Best of luck. |

| Weight Loss | Lost 5 lbs in one day... | May 02 2008 06:34 (UTC) |

Haha, that's pretty funny. However, it is normal for a person's weight to fluctuate by up to five pounds in one day, just due to water intake/loss. The best time to find your most accurate weight is when you wake up in the morning, after you pee. (I read that in a magazine) |
