Yeah I'm not really one to come out and say that you need to eat more, but I am the same age as you and let me tell you I read in a magazine a few days ago that you have to eat at least 1000 calories per day or you're start building up fat because your body will think that it is starving and slow down your metabolism to match.

Oh okay thank you.  But I think my goal matters because I have to actually get my goal daily calories otherwise I won't reach my goal which is to lose 4 pounds by the end of May.

Thanks for your help and any other help I would appreciate so much!!! Feel free to speak your mind!

Well if you like mint stuff there's this thing called Metromint and it has 0 calories, 0 anything it's basically regular water but it's minty. ^.^ It's like my favorite thing ever, but I'm a huge plain-water drinker.

=D Good luck

If someone's goal is within a healthy BMI (for their age) and they are reaching this goal by healthy means (remember, just like the BMI is not applicable for teens the calorie calculator is not either) then they are following CC's mission.

Yupyup! I was getting a lot of bad feedback from people going OMG wanting a BMI of 19 dude that's way too low!  And I kept saying...no...for my height and age, it's not.  Special thanks to Heather for sticking up for people that aren't obese trying to lose weight. ^.^

Ooh, I definitley say chips!  They put them in front of you at every restaurant, forcing you to have a ridiculous amount of self-control because they just keep filling the basket up and up and up...

Hey thanks guys. ^.^

And don't worry, I'm not "over exercising," I'm on a water polo team so that's where I get all the exercise daily.  So I don't do it on purpose, per se. ;]  Anyways, thanks for the BMI stats, I didn't know I was only 1 BMI point away from being underweight.  I guess what I want to lose weight for is because I look so fat when I look down at myself. ._.  And my tummy has no shape it's just flat on all sides; it's like a box.  Lol.   Does anyone have any tips to make a little dent in your torso to get that hourglass shape? =] Thanks again

...

I don't see what's so bad about someone age 15 trying to get into shape.  And, 19.7 isn't considered underweight; it's pretty much right in the middle of "healthy weight."  And yes I know I need the extra calories, but my torso is pretty much a box and I'd like to get some shape in there before summer.  I really don't see a problem...

Here are some of the foods I like...I would've sent this in a message but I can only send two messages per day apparently lol.  But besides the Quaker Simple Harvest stuff I love this company called All-Bran they have crackers and granola bars and stuff that make you feel like you're eating too much because they're filling, but you're really not eating too much.

Hope that helps!

Hey, sunshine_smile and iridescentblue!  I would love to form a support group and be weight loss buddies with both of you, seeing as we're all in the same situation: just looking to lose a few pounds and stop "binge eating." =]  I'm not actually using the calorie-counting features on this site, and I'm not counting my calories, but I'm just trying to eat healthier and less every day; normally you can tell if you've eaten too much for the day.  I'll message both of you, and we can be buddies and keep eachother accountable.  Yay!
