about the fullness-yer gunna have to eat the foods your afraid of. sorry! things like a lil chocolate, PB...candy bars (health food stores are great healthy sweets) look. you're not going to be a pig. but when you see it sitting around, have a little nibble everytime you see it. just a little one, it helps...for how long to come back on, depends on how many calories you add, and exercise you cut back on....obviously if you keep exercising it'll be slow and painful. no excuses. if you feel yourself getting really tired lately, LISTEN TO EVERY WORD OF YOUR BODY, your body will be burning more calories than if you WERE working out, trust me!! recovering in the hospital i was eating 4000 calories and losing, LITERALLY sitting in a wheel chair. i am NO exception. your body is amazing. a-m-a-z-i-n-g. =)))

Weight Loss Shocking the Metabolism with Calories Apr 01 2009

glad to see some results =) so zig zagging didnt do much at all...see, i havent seen really any change for me either, but i love the idea of going over some days, and only having to hold back that many too...rather than keeping a solid deficit...but it's terribly confusing and tedious >.<

and frustrating to see some people have amazing results and none of them work for me. ha.

i'm starting to have some weight gain too! what's going on? does it last? you'd think the "weight gain" from going ON the pill would be coming off....pleeeasse tell me theres an end to this...lol but dont lie. and if this is what happens coming off the pill and i decided to go back on (for other reasons) would i gain MORE weight AGAIN?

thats a great approach i....appreciate lol. it's hard having irregular eating habits when it takes more work than not :/ when you have that day that you fulfill your calories, does it have an effect on you? are you bloated the next day, or your weight stalls? its just no fun having those road blocks..!

i'm SOOOO excited you approached that advice with enthusiasm!!! you have no idea how important that is! honestly you're in an anorexic wt range easily. when i was 5 foot 4 and 90 pounds, they said i was off the charts and put me in a hospital that wasn't accepting anyone because  they were full. please, i want so bad to see you get out of this....but having gone through this, i need to pass this info on too:

eating more is NOT as easy as it seems. first roadblock: thats a **** ton of food! it's hard to get that much in if you're not used to it, but use your head in condensing it and it wont be that hard. your body's starving so much micronutrients arent you're biggest concern. so yeah. PB'll be your friend lol.

second roadblock: if you're okay with gaining some weight, that's so awesome. that takes courage. that makes you strong. but that weight does NOT go where you want it to...AT FIRST...and at first means months; yes months, but it really doesnt last as long as you think. but you will keep your itty bitty arms and legs...and grow a baby lol. no im jk, it feels like that, you'll feel enourmous, but let me ASSURE YOU people will NOT be able to see it.

tell me if you have any questions...i'm so proud of you!!!!!

this is advice coming from someone who suffered from anorexia for 2 1/2 years and is now in the binge binge purge cycle. DO NOT DO THIS. do NOT fall into this cycle. you become a slave. your life dissolves. if you thought annorexia had a hold on you, this is much, much worse. i learned hard and fast when i first started purging- BEING ABLE TO DO IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU STRONGER. YOU'RE NOT A STRONGER MORE IN CONTROL PERSON BECAUSE YOU MADE YOUR BODY DO WHAT YOU WANTED. trust me. i could go on but i dont want this to seem like i'm screaming at you lol. look- this message isnt angry, or upset, or disappointed, it's seeing myself 6 months ago and wishing you were me then so i could stop it early....be proud of yourself!@ love yourself!!! =))) and tell me if you ever want help or advice! i'm so here for you!!! got my hands reached out!!! ps no matter how much you purge you absorb almost all the calories you put in-i looked it up tons of times because...it sucks so much. ha.

this is interesting... so it can occasionally be counted in the body as a calorie? i've heard that it prevents calorie absorbtion sometimes; is this a complete myth then?

ahhh, that gives me a better idea...but how much and how long will i initially gain? this is obviously a rut to get out of, but i want the least "side effects" so i'm not tempted to bail out and restrict. its complicated stuff!! wish i could just snap my fingers and make everything simple. but i know my metabolism is in the reserve mode, and i wana put it back into normal so i feel safe adding the calories i need...but im scared because if i've been maintaining on this, i feel like i'd explode growing if i upped it to where i need it! just lookin for advice and everything. i know all the basic information, been into nutrition, health and dietetics wayy too long

thanks SO much for your advice and experiences...that really helps me, especially when you've gone through what i have. i feel like im cheating though getting the answers from your labor ;)

can you tell me more about the urges? did you have to change your eating patterns? how hard and long did it take to adjust? were there certain foods that helped? did you find upping your calories put an end to it, or does the battle go on a bit from screwed up hunger cues?

thanks so much for your advice and support. i really use it and it really helps =)

Health & Support help what's goin on? Jan 14 2009
16:52 (UTC)

thanks for the advice, i think you're right...maybe it's that my body's clinging onto the calories, and once i break out of this restriction it'll go into overdrive and a normal routine, but it's hard trusting it'll do that, it's a scary risk. but i'll try and be brave =) i'm really struggling with hunger cues and whatnot, do you have any advice for that?
