I am getting married in three weeks. We met at work. However, it was a movie theater, not a professional business or anything. I think if your job is your profession... it may not be a good idea... it could hurt your career. However, I was just working while in school. We've been together for 5 years and I am so glad I didnt shy away from the relationship. |

In high school I was 130-135lbs. I carried my weight in my hips/thighs (pear shaped). Im 5'4" but really, you should be at a weight that you feel comfortable at. |

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT.... oh my goodness... i was supposed to read this book in high school. it's like 300 pages... about 80 are the crime... the rest is punishment (mental/self/guilt) and it's Russian... i stopped after about 100 pages. |

Original Post by vwiggins: not always true. I am 5'4", 136lbs (in the upper part of healthy range) and my waist is 25" my hip (however) are 41". it's all about shape. just because someone has a tiny waist doesnt mean they can do anything about it. my waist is the last place i gained weight, my hips/thighs were the first... |

it bothers me too when people are ignorant of the skill required |

Original Post by chelslaw1984: I disagree. Im getting married in May and i do NOT want anyone wearing... white - the bride should be the only one wearing all white black - it's not a funeral!! (plus mine is in the middle of the day, outside so it doesnt make sense anyway). anyway, my point is, yes, some couples might not care, but just because it's 2009 dont assume that the couple won't care what colors you wear. |

I dont know if this is my proudest moment but today I had a good one... I work at blockbuster while im in school. Today an older gentlemen came in (he's kind of a regualr, comes in a few times a month) and after i rang him up he was just like "by the way, i wanted to tell you that you're looking much slimmer these days, you look nice" It was such a nice and random complement! I was very gracious! |

| Weight Loss | Eating WHATEVER You Want? | Mar 19 2009 03:15 (UTC) |

I eat whatever I want. For example, I love cheese, so i bought light string cheese sticks for a snack. I eat pizza, so i go for thin crust (fewer calories). I eat ice cream (bluebell no sugar added chocolate/vanilla combo is awesome! 90 cals/1/2 cup v. other types which are 170-200 and it's still good). Also, some days i'll splerg, I'll go out to dinner at a resturant, but before i go i'll check the nutritional info online (only really works for chain resturants). I find that if you dont eat things you like/crave, you'll just obsess over food the whole time you're trying to loose. plus, this way, you can continue the trend of just being aware of what you eat after you loose the weight you want to. Ive also tried to work out ~45mins on the elliptical 4 days a week. so far, i've lost ~27lbs in about 7 1/2 months of trying (i took a 3 month break and was able to maintain my weight) i have about 6-7 lbs to go. you dont have to be on a "diet", just be aware of what you're eating. |

when i plateau, i eat more (like equal to what I would burn that day instead of restricting) for about 2 days, to boost my metabolism, then continue what i was doing, it seems to work well. plus it's like a mini food vacation |

I get really bad cramps. My doc. recommended just taking medicine inadvance, before the crams get bad (if you know when they're gonna start) and i did that last month, it really helped. otherwise, i do elliptical work for cardio... when i do cramp while working out i just try to drink a lot of water and power through... |

once, in a hotel, my brother and i convinced our younger sister that the time zone change line went right through the room. so we had her jump from side to side going "it's 6 o' clock....it's 7 o' clock..... it's 6 o' clock" it was great! |

I know what you're going through. I'm 5'4" and in high school i was about 130lbs. I rode horses from age 9-16 (stopped because of financial reasons, not by choice) and because of it i had huge leg muscles. (i rode english as opposed to western). i remember in junior high one of my friends first called my butt a 'booty' and that's when i first noticed that people noticed my lower half. I have a 26" waist and a 42" hips.... and about a 32B bust, so.... yeah, im bottom heavy. I do like that i dont gain weight in my stomach, but it's hard to find pants that fit correctly because my thighs are realitvely large. it used to be all muscle, but since i stopped riding, it's become.... less muscle. Im trying to work out my legs alot (eliptical at the gym etc). but i dont think there's much we can do about where our bodies choose to hold weight. |

| Weight Loss | When to start counting again? | Aug 12 2008 21:23 (UTC) |
7 |
Personally, since i have been seeing steady results, i find it fun to count! the better results i see the more motivated i am to count calories. however, i am not obsessed. for example, when i go visit my parents for a day or two i dont count, i'll eat enough to be filling but not stuffed and try to make smart choices, but i dont stress over it. in fact, i feel that every so often our bodies need a metabolizm boost day where we eat more/equal to what we burn. I find it works for me, and that way i dont feel like im starving myself and not getting to eat what i want. I have lost just under 20lbs in about 12 weeks, so it's going really well. |

| Weight Loss | how long does it take to get used to eating less? | Aug 04 2008 22:29 (UTC) |
8 |
for me, about a week. although after about 2-3 weeks it was habbit, once i started seeing results i was even more postivive about the ammount of food i was eating. however, my first week i was eating about 1600 cal/day. b/c it was such a change i couldnt fathom eating less. slowly i got down to now (about 1300 /day) and it's a lot easier. your body gets used to it. i dont reccomend starting a diet at a strck 1200cal or something b/c you'll feel hungry b/c its a sudden change! even small success helps motivate you! good luck! |

| Health & Support | Anyone who has had chest pain | Jul 31 2008 00:39 (UTC) |
|
a few years ago my fiance had chest pains. he was working two jobs at the time and wasn't getting much sleep. When he saw the doctor they told him he needed to work one job or he'd continue being in pain. That he was sleep deprived. the weird thing was that he wasn't tired most of the time. so he cut it back to one full time job and after a few weeks the pain went away and hasn't come back. i think it was just the extra stress on his body and the lack of sleep |

| Health & Support | Diet Pills? | Jul 29 2008 22:12 (UTC) |

I havent taken any diet pills, i have taken alli though.... it, i thought, wasnt worth the side effects. and it's not going to suppress ur hunger. I would reccomend more carbs and protein. they always make me feel more full. for example, orville's smartpop is a lot of food that takes a long time to eat so you'll feel more full. also, i keep jack's links (beef jerky) that actually comes in 50cal packs for work. when im hungry i eat those and they hold me over. good luck |

| Health & Support | I'm 19 and I haven't gotten any wisdom teeth yet... | Jun 11 2008 22:02 (UTC) |

not at all! Im 21 and when i was 15 i went to the dentist for a check up. they did an xray and had to redo it because I was missing a back molar on the picture.... it turns out im just missing one of my 12-year molars. So i have only 3 out of 4 12-year molars and no wisdom teeth. This is espically odd b/c both my parents had all 4 wisdom teeth. the dentist said it was perfectly fine.
so my point is... not everyone has the 'normal' amount of teeth. as long as you can chew and it's not painful, your fine! |

I definitely agree. My fiancee LOVES my curves. He is always telling me what a great ass I have and loves my tiny waist. (hence why I am marrying him) however, over the past year i have gained 20-25lbs and am now, as far as bsi is considered, "slightly overweight". Therefore, to be back in better shape, i am trying to loose that weight. My fiancee, on the other hand, keeps telling me how soft and squeezable i feel. he loves the way i feel and my womanly figure. |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
