Hi :) We're pretty similar! I'm 15, 5'4 and about 135. I also have problems with portion control (I eat everything on my plate plus more even when I'm not hungry >.<) but am not a runner like you. I swim :) I have a hard time staying motivated too. I can only go to practice a couple times a week due to other activities, but often times I try to come up with excuses to get out of it even though I end up feeling great after a good workout. I may disappear for about 2 weeks this summer due to a trip, but other than that, I'm here :) If you think we're similar enough, let me know if you want to be buddies! -Momo |

Yes! FINALLY, a day I'm proud enough of to post :D Today's: Breakfast: Apple Lunch: Sandwich with cream cheese and jelly :D, Gyoza, Apples, Thin sheets of egg wrapped around cheesy mashed potatoes Dinner: Rice (mix of white and brown), Pita bread, Fish (flounder), Broccoli, Fat Free Yogurt, Orange

In order to achieve many of these goals, I need better will power. I cave very easily and the only reason I'm not heavier than I am is because I've been pretty active most of my life so far. Breakfast (lateish): Oatmeal with brown sugar and almond milk, a small apple Lunch-like thing: A honey-stuffed korean pancake, some takuan (pickled radish) Snack: 2 pieces of sushi Dinner: Butter yaki (veggies << a TON of cabbage, some meat, grilled in butter), rice Dessert: Fruit. Lots of fruit. Like 4+ cups of cantaloupe, grapes LOTS of grapes, some pineapple. A reeaaaaaaallllyyyy tiny piece of cake.
Tomorrow's going to be exclusively Japanese :) |

I'm asian too! :D I'm a healthy weight, but I love around a bunch of asians who are stick thin. Makes me feel bad.... Anyways, I think the only difference is lifestyle. Last year, my family and I took a trip to Japan. We were there for only two weeks and I ate A TON more than normal and guess what...I lost 2 pounds. The food was healthier and we walked a lot more. That's all there was to it. |

Okay, I have no idea if I've already posted here or not, but I kinda need someone to talk to to keep me motivated. Wow, my meal plan's kinda different from everyone else's. Breakfast is my smallest meal, usually about 200-300. Lunch is bigger, maybe double that at 400-600. Dinner is like double lunch. haha. I burn a lot in swim practice, so I tend to eat at 2000+. Swim practice for me is 5x a week for 3 hours, one hour out of the pool running or other exercises and 2 hours in the pool. |

Hi :) This sounds like a totally realistic goal. Can I join? I'm about 125 right now, just trying to get to 118 maybe? I'm more worried about my bf% right now. But 5 pounds of fat will get me to where I wanna be :D Calorie intakes anyone? I do 1700-1800 daily. By doing this I'm zig-zagging pretty well because my activity level is different on different days :) |

I know exactly how you feel. I'm strong, I'm athletic, but I still think I'm fat. >.< Right now I'm just trying to drop 5-10 pounds. Still definitely keeping me in the healthy weight zone, but less fatty :) |

Thanks for that :) But I know my body fat % and can afford to lose some. Plus, I live in Hawaii, so the pool temperatures can sometimes get uncomfortably warm when swimming. :( Which actually kinda sucks. I also weight lift at least once a week, so that'll keep my muscle mass up (swimming is kinda actually aerobic and anaerobic too). Anyways, congrats on getting back to a good weight :) |

I'm not trying to be underweight. I'm just trying to get down to 118, 115 at the least. That's still in a healthy weight zone. Plus, Usain Bolt doesn't really look like he has much fat on him either... |

Thanks, but what do I do about my speed? I want to get faster, and that's not going to happen unless I lose some fat or gain muscle and I definitely don't want to gain any more muscle... Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm 5'4 |

i actually find it easier to manage myself during school. I have things taking up time so I don't eat all the time, I have practice after school, plus PE during school. I love it :) but I don't like school. hehe. |

Agh. I've been eating pretty badly latelyy. Haha. But I made a couple new calorie changes, so hopefully I'll start losing again. Right now I'm trying to get my BMR intake, so counting out workouts and everything. So, sedentary days are about 1400, lightly active days are about 1600, and active days are 1800-2000 depending. :) I'm trying to lose this weight slowly, so hopefully this works out. |

I'm 5'4, about 124 lbs (on a good day), and trying to get down to about 110. I know that's a wee bit low, but it's not just for my own vanity. I'm a swimmer, so I'm trying to increase my speed without increasing my muscle so losing about 15 lbs will help me. BTW I'm a small frame. I'm trying a new approach to calories starting today, too. I'm not trying to lose this weight too quickly (by the end of the year) so I'm going for 1500 cals on days I don't work out, 1700-1800 the days I have a moderate workout, and 2000 on days I have a hard workout. |
