2.  I want my mother off my back for the first time in 30 years.

YES!!! That alone is enough to motivate me! Get the family off my back! When I went to my cousins wedding in Jan '07, my uncle was walking behind me at the mall one day and just kept making comments about how huge my butt is. And when we had the rehersal dinner, and my relatives asked for more Coke, I couldn't find it so I asked my uncle. He said the last thing I need is more Coke- the last thing I need is more anything. Cry It hurt.

I also want to be significantly smaller than my significant other.  It's bad when your boyfriend can fit into your jeans!!!

Or when you're jeans are WAYYYY too big for him...Yell

I never want to worry about breaking swings, chairs, or tables if I sit on or lean on them.

HAHAHA! That is sooo me! I always get nervous when I go to the park with my kids, and I want to get on the swing so bad! I'll sit down and hear the creaking.... I just want to swing carefree... no worries about bringing the whole thing down with me!

Thank you so much tammy! Congrats on the 100 lb loss! That seems so daunting, but to meet someone who has managed to do it makes it seem so much more realistic and within grasp.

Hi!

I'm Abby. I started cal counting in Feb. Since then I went from 222 to 195, size 18-20 to 16.

I'm pretty desperate to lose the weight. I've been married for 11 years, and last year I was feeling pretty down and unsatisfied with my husband. I felt like the passion was gone from our relationship. I tried everything- lingerie, toys, roleplay- nothing got him interested. I finally sat him down and asked what the hell was going on, and after quite a bit of coaxing, he finally told me that my weight was a major issue for him. I was thrown back, because he had never led me to believe that there was any problem. He was always telling me how sexy I am and how beautiful I am- then this. CryNow dont get me wrong, he's a wonderful man. But I never saw this coming. I was so embarrassed. I've had 5 children in the last 9 years, and it's been one pregnancy after another with no time to lose the weight in between.

Now we decided not to have any more kids (after 5 girls, you kinda give up on the boy), so I have the opportunity now to lose the weight. I've started doing yoga, pilates, and mall walking. I keep a close eye on everything that goes into my mouth, weighing my portions and carefully and dutifully recording them every day into my food journal. I've managed to drop a good bit in the last 3 1/2 months, but I'm desperate to drop more- quickly! I don't want to lose my husband. I want to feel wanted again. I want to catch him looking at me again. So I have lots of motivation to make this work! For my marriage and my family!

I agree... the depo shot needs to come with a huge warning label: "Will turn healthy, attractive, caring woman into the Incredible Hulk's new bride..."

I HATED THAT SHOT!! I bled for 6 months straight, went from 125 lbs. right after having my first baby to 175 lbs 6 months later, and acted like not getting my way was the end of the known universe. It was horrible.

Now it's 11 years later, and I'm still trying to lose the weight!
