Original Post by amethystgirl: Thanks for the advice. I was just sort of surprised since the CC tool spit out an answer closer to 2300 a day sedentary, and I'd been going off that as my guide.

how accurate is that bmi calc? (http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html) i'm 18, and it states that at 6'3" and 188 lbs I burn 3000 calories while inactive. seems pretty wild considering I usually aim for 1800-2000 a day. |

I sympathize with people who have such a high level of shyness and anxiety.
I'm nowhere as bad as some people, but my anxiety will prevent me from walking into my college classes late, (almost everyone's attention is diverted to whoever walkes in) so I miss them. It's really stupid, so if it happens again, I think I'm going to force myself to walk through that door. I mean, I'm wasting good money! |

I think this is the wrong forum for this thread, but.. If the calculator says you burn approx 1900 calories a day, you should aim for a 500 calorie defecit. So yes, 1400 is about what you should be eating. I know it's frustrating not seeing any results, have you been eating any foods with floating calories (or at least that's what I call them, haha, foods from bakeries with no calorie information, things like that) or anything like that? Do you exercise at all, also?

Original Post by tiffgw: I went vegetarian at the age of 13 or so and I don't remember ever getting sick. Then again, I never was much for eating meat for dinner as a kid, so the effect was probably not noticeable to me.

Breakfast/Lunch: 2 cups of rice with 4 oz of noodles, topped off with a little margarine and soy sauce. Also had some Sprite to down it all with.
That's it, unfortunately. 1200 cals is ok, but I'll try again tomorrow at my goal of 1600 :] |
