A girlfriend of mine from work decided I just had to meet this friend of hers. I had been single for a year after being with my high school sweetheart for 7 years, so I decided to do it. My DH and I set up a drinks only date at a Mexican restaurant on Good Friday (yeah, good Catholic) of 2001. We met about 3pm in the afternoon. Our date ended at 2am! We talked for hours, had dinner, talked (and drank) more. It was awesome. We started hanging out a lot and one weekend went wine tasting in eastern Long Island. We would up at a bar/restaurant in Greenlawn and this big biker guy who was with his wife of 30 years told Greg that he'd better marry me quick and not let me get away. The next night we went to Shea to see the Mets and he proposed on the way there. We got married on September 29, 2001. Dated five months. We have three boys now and have been married almost 8 years. And I still can't get enough of him ;) |

Enjoy mexico! While I can go on vacation and not gain much (gained 1 lb during trip home to NY- and have to say it was probably the pizza & bagels :) ), I couldn't go to say Cancun and not gain- I just love the drinkies and the street meat carts too much. Just have fun, don't gorge yourself but eat what you want- and have memories to enjoy while you work out back home :) |

Hi Guys! I want to keep it going too! This group is great for me. Well guys I have to tell you... I weighed in today..... 189lbs!!!!! That's 22 lbs since I joined this group :) Granted I have another 36 to loose- but I'm still totally excited for this wedding on 7/6! I haven't seen my family in a year... and I was 249 lbs when I saw them last!!!!! I leave for NY on thursday and I know I'll gain a few during my trip there- can't tell you how much I miss bagels, pizza and diners!!!!!! |

Congrats on the baby! Don't know what you're doing "wrong" just wanted to share my story... I breastfed twins- and every Laleche person and mom and everyone told me I should loose soooo much weight (I was very careful with my foods). By time I stopped doing it exclusively I had gained 12 pounds. I lost them all the month I stopped. I have no idea why this happened- my dr thought my body was storing fats to be able to keep up the milk production. So, don't worry about what is supposed to happen. |

Oh puh-lease guys! None of you ever had a friend turn 21 and took her out on a girls night to get buzzed and laugh like only a buzzed 20 something can????? I'm 32 and I sure as hell have- as a matter of fact I'm living in Raleigh and going home to NY on 6/28 and I can't wait to see my BFF and go to "our" bar and yeah- get a little trashed together. I haven't seen her in 2 years. |

I have problems on the weekends too- This week I only lost 1/2 lb b/c of it (even though I was really on track all week). Its the wine for me- I drank a whole bottle on Saturday while sitting and talking with an old friend! A whole bottle!!!!! Anyway- I was 211 when I started this- down to 194. I really wanted to be 189 by 7/4, I'm turning on the cardio this week so wish me luck! |

Hi All! i am happy to say that as of this morning the scale told me I have lost 16.5 pounds since we started this thing!!!! I am 194.5 now and just waiting for 189 to come- that's my next goal. I have to say swimming does it for me- I can swim for hours and hours and never feel tired/pain/hungry- I just love it! This weekend is my and my youngest's birthday weekend (we're 2 days apart), so I expect that I'll not loose much this week as I will be drinking some tropical drinks with my DH at the beach. Here's hoping for no weight gain :) |

I haven't totally cut out the drinking- I still have a glass or two of wine on Saturdays (or whenever) BUT I put them in my calories and I'm not drinking a whole, large bottle anymore on the weekends. Oh yeah, I like wine :) |

Hi all! Everyone have a fun weekend??? I love the weekends- our community's pool is only open on the weekends until June 14th- can't wait to be able to swim everyday. I am very happy to say that I am down to a size 14. This is a great accomplishment for me and I am on the top of the world right now!!!! Love this group! |

So funny! That's what my husband said! We bought it, got home and he turns around and says- "you better find a tailor here because I bet you're going to need this taken in by the wedding". Hey, I hope he's right, but I doubt it :) I loose steadily, but pretty slow- usually 1.5 - 2 lbs a week. I don't think I'll be going down a size in a month :) I just can't wait to see everyone back in NY who I haven't seen in a year!!! |

Hi! I'm 31, 5' 5"- and started at 254- I'm down 55 pounds now and at 199, but I still qualify as "big". We're all still here- just spending more time working out and less time on the computer for me.. |

Weighed in this morning at 199!!!!!! First time I've been under 200 in about 2 years. I am soooo happy!!!! Down 12 lbs since this challenge started! I need another 8 to get to goal #1 by July 4th! DH is going sex crazy (yeah- he really missed me with a body)! I don't feel like I look much different, but I am down a total of 45 lbs now- so I guess I must!! I'm just so happy right now! |

Down 3 more pounds for a total of 7 in the past two weeks! I am so glad I found this! Only 8 more to go to reach my goal for my niece's wedding. I tried on 14s yesterday and they *almost* fit!!!!! I was dancing in the dressing room. I haven't been under a size 16 since my third child was born- and he's 4! So my goal is the 8 more pounds, but also- I'd love to be wearing a size 14 at the wedding. |

Krenren77, Its not my wedding, lol- its my niece's! I'm married with three little boys! I was a size 6 when I got married, got prego with twins asap- gained 100 lbs (yes, a 100), lost about 50 when I immediately got pregnant again. So at this point the youngest is four and I'm still carrying around an extra 50 lbs. I'm quite glad that you started this thread, as I sooo need the motivation. My eating plan today: Breakfast- raison bran w/ 1/2 c skim milk, banana, coffee w/ creamer Lunch- big salad with 2 oz chicken breast, romaine, carrots, onion and light italian dressing. Dinner- Chicken sausage, rice and mixed vegetables. |

I have a wedding on July 5th! I REALLY need to loose 15 by then! Today I ate: Breakfast- 2 egg whites, 2 tblspoons of salsa, water, Banana Lunch- salad with romaine lettuce, a tomato, two chicken nuggets cut up, 2 tbls feta and italian dressing Dinner- roasted chicken leg & wing, 1/2 c steamed white rice and 1 cup broccoli |
