Same here. I haven't quit snacking so as to keep me from getting extremely hungry by dinner. It hasn't hurt my weight loss though! I eat..well constantly. You just have to know what to eat and when. |

| Health & Support | Food Jealousy! | May 25 2008 21:08 (UTC) |

Two words: Gilmore Girls. Man, do I envy them, even though they are merely characters, but characters who could eat what-e-ver they wanted and always get away with it. At the time I wasn't on a diet or at least I wasn't really counting my calories but I still envied them. And the healthier I eat, the more I envy anyone who can eat pizza, chips, whatever. Recently I've started peeking into people's shopping carts. I just now realized it, gah. I don't literally tilt over their carts or anything but I still notice. And whenever a person buys something that I would want but couldn't eat, I'd feel a sting of jealousy. Sad, really. |

two slices of fine rye bread with slices of salami and a cup of coffee. I know should eat something healthier for breakfast but that's the only thing I simply cannot replace in my menu :| |

Original Post by petite_powerhouse: I absolutely agree with you. I, too, have no problem understanding, why some people would believe in God and again, for the same reasons you stated. I couldn't have said it any better. |

| Weight Loss | Frustrated with friends that aren't supportive... | May 18 2008 10:41 (UTC) |

I know what you mean. I've got a situation similar to yours but the difference is that only two out of the group would do something such as calorie counting. That being me and another friend of mine. Since I found this site (and I've been to many similar ones, none have helped), I've been more successful that I ever thought I'd be. In fact, I was so excited that I told my friends about it, but to my dismay, they weren't excited or even interested. It's not exactly their frustration with the fact that I'm on a diet but the fact that I feel totally alone in this. I'm sure you feel the same way?..Nonetheless, when I hang out with them, I eat pretty much the same stuff they do. The thing is, I try to "save up" my cheat days and use them whenever I'm going to hang out with my friends. They probably think that I'm just kidding on the diet part, seeing how I eat all the things you shouldn't eat when you're on a diet. It's fun on my part, since most of the time I count every single calorie I consume. Like a double agent, y'know. |

| Weight Loss | I binged like a maniac today. | May 17 2008 17:52 (UTC) |

I binged like a manic yesterday, drinking a bottle of wine, eating cake, pasta, ice cream, cheese and whatnot. I do feel a little guilty, even though I had already accepted the fact that I'd eat a lot more than I should. But as you said, you'll be back to eating normal tomorrow so there's nothing to worry about. We're only human : ) |

Yeah I spent a whole week trying to figure out if I was going to let myself have wine tomorrow or not. Well, I've reached a decision and unsurprisingly I'm going to have a glass..or two, knowing myself. The bad thing is, after a few glasses, I tend to lose my guard about the food portions. |

amethystgirl, nah, I did read the whole article and I wasn't referring to the other muscle-building exercises, just to the mere fact that working on your abs won't necessarily give you a flatter stomach, thus automatically burning all the fat off your stomach making it flat. I'm sorry if I didn't express myself clearly. :] |

Original Post by odie03: You're right, the article is very interesting. I, too, was under the illusion that muscle-building excersices would make me thinner. But it all makes sense now. Thanks for the link. :) |
