The Lounge To BRA or NOT to BRA...What's your opinion? Oct 31 2008

I wear a bra everyday (not at night) and they are not sagging yet;) I think it just depends on the firmness of your skin and weight fluctuations.  Keep your skin and body healthy and stay out of the sun and that is probably as much as you can do other than a boob job (yuck).

The Lounge What is up with all of the negative comments on this site? Oct 31 2008

My point on this is mainly regarding the post on gun control.  I posted my arguments not wanting to get personal and then posted that the main reason I have such an issue with it is because my best friend was killed with a gun then I stopped posting, yet people kept attacking. The only "negative" thing that I have posted on this site is that I think killing for sport is disgusting.

4theloss... you think that I am posting negative comments on this site? Have you actually looked through my posts? Instead of referencing one post where we disagree on an issue maybe you should look through my others. You're also the one that wrote  "So, one 8 year old kid died. Big whoop." Are you maybe just attacting me on this post because I didn't agree with you on gun control?  Whether you said that for shock or not... lame thing to say.

I just wanted to point out that *I* and MANY other people feel that this "provided meat" is way more disgusting than hunting. Go and research just how you get your pre-packaged groceries and meat and then say that hunting is gruesome. Just because you think you are an advanced and intelligent lifeform who eats from plastic wrapped tubs does not change the origin of your nutrients.

I'm a vegetarian.  I know exactly how disgusting the meat that is provided to us is.  You guys who are proponents of guns... come and talk to me about it when someone close to you dies from one.  This topic is very close to home for me as my best friend was killed with a gun. I'm done with this topic.

You just proved my point!  "If a guy comes into your house and points a gun at your head..." EXACTLY why guns are terrible and people cannot be trusted with them! They are a useless thing! As for population control, I am all for hunting a with a bow and arrow (my brother and my father do this).  Guns aren't the only thing you can use to hunt.  At least with a bow, you have to have a certain strength to use it (no child would be able to use a hunting bow) and it would thus be limited to adults.

And how many people honestly have a gun somewhere in their house where it would be readily available if someone broke in?! And honestly, how often does that happen?! I feel like you are only making arguments for guns in rural settings.  What about gangs and drug dealers in the city?

Why do people think that hunting is an argument for owning guns? Honestly, we are living in 2008.  We have groceries and meat provided for us.  No one needs to hunt to survive and killing animals for "sport" is disgusting. When I think of the need for gun control I am not thinking about Jack and Sue down the street in Oklahoma.  I am thinking about big cities where there is not one good excuse for having guns.  A huge portion of people who are using guns are living in cities.  And the argument for self-protection is a rediculous!  You DO NOT need a gun for self- protection! Get some mase!

Hmm... I love the people who are all about the second amendment.  Please, take a look at what our country was like when that was written and let me know how it compares to our country now. I cannot think of one person who needs to own an uzi or any other gun that is a civilian.  The sole purpose of a gun is to kill... why would a "civilized" country need something like that?

Make sure that you're using your legs the most.  The majority of your power should be coming from your legs.  With that said, rock climbing is a great workout.  However, make sure that you are still doing exercises for your abs and core.  Core exercises will help with your balance and flexibility, which will help when you get to all of those fun advanced walls!:)

I have this same problem! I now buy relatively plain clothes (think banana republic, JCrew, Gap, etc) and pair it with a cool necklace, bracelet, scarf, earings.  Something that stands out but is you.  It pulls the outfit together and all of the clothing stays in style.  Branch out and try bright colors with neutral clothing.

I def have not been eating more.  My diet and exercise has not changed at all, yet in the past 10 months I have put on 10 pounds.  If anything, I eat less now.  It's so frustrating!  No matter what I do I just cannot budge my weight!

Don't feel too bad... I did the same exact thing today.  Yesterday I was great and today I sucked.  I have been trying to eliminate all sweets from my diet and it just isn't working for me.  I crash at about 3pm and binge on sweets for the rest of the night.  I think I am going to try to incorporate something sweet into my early morning snack (fruit is like candy to me so I plan on eating that).  Lately I have been binging on ice cream and i don't even like it that much.  I know that I have been restricting myself too much.  1200 calories a day when you are up for 18 hours a day is way too little.  Try adding some things into your diet at times you are prone to binge or go for a walk instead.  If you need someone to talk to, I'm here and I am def in the same boat;)

Good luck and stay positive!

Weight Loss Low carb working wonders without counting calories....why? Oct 02 2008

I started cutting back on carbs last week.  I basically eat oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast and some fruit for snacking but try to eat protein and veggies the rest of the day.  I have found that I feel so much less disgusting and sluggish!  I used to go to bed feeling bloating and uncomfortable but now that is all gone and the bloating in my belly is also gone.  I am not super strick about it and I plan on trying to stick to a 50% carb, 25% fat and protein diet as well as not eating after 7pm.

It's helping me sleep better and the amount of water weight I have lost is incredible.  It looks like I lost 3 lbs from by stomach because I was so bloated from eating only carbs.

I would recommend eating carbs in moderation.  You def need quite a bit in your diet and if you slip up every once and a while it's okay but I have found that since most junk is really high in carbs, it makes you stay away from those things and thus inproving healthy eating.  Just make sure you get some whole grains in and good luck!

Bake a whole wheat pita topped with marinara sauce and cheese until melted.  It is soooo good but a much healthier option since you can control the amount of cheese.

I have REALLY dark circles under my eyes but I use Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer to hide them and it works wonders!  It doesn't get stuck in lines because it smoothes them out (i.e. line smoothing concealer).  It's also a little thicker than some others I've used so it hides more without looking thick.  It's only about $14 and you can get it as Sephora or any Macy's.  Make sure to ask which color would work best for you though so you don't go too light.  Good luck!

Ugh... this is why i HATE politicians!  I hate that it is only seen as a political move instead of it being about getting all of our guys out of there and home to their families.  My brother just deployed to Iraq and all I want if for him to come home to his 4 week- old son.  I wish we could find a politician who througt about the actual people and not how it will help/ hurt their political career.

At the rate that we are going today, 50% of the species of this world will be extinct in the next 100 years... sorry but it is true.  Although you may not believe it because you are old enough to have been around when there was a different theory, this is not a theory.  At the rate that we are going this IS what will happen if nothing changes it.  Maybe you should pick up a book and educate yourself.  I teach elementary school and EVERY science book we use discusses this.

Not that this has anything to do with the topic, but they predict that by the year 2100 (less than 100 years from now) 50% of the species of this earth will be extinct from global warming, pollution and habitat destruction.  Anyone who thinks of this as a natural thing is ignorant.  And although McCain may not agree with drilling in ANWR, he does support offshore drilling (where they are allowed to pump drilling fluid into the ocean, not to mention the risk of oil spills).

peaches: Just because this topic may have been beat to death on other posts doesn't mean that people can't post their opinions here.  You have a CHOICE to not look at this post.  So if you're sick of reading about this topic then don't read it.

And, like I said before I am pro choice but I would never have an abortion.  That is my choice.  Again (to clarify) my issue is with the people who think they should have control over the decisions that I make.  I don't understand why they are so concerned with protecting the rights of a fetus when there are so many more things that they could be worrying about (like the thousands of children who HAVE been born and are starving, have no health insurance and are abused).

And just so we are clear, I am not complaining about people who are pro life, I am complaining about the people who think that a woman should not have the right to choose because of their beliefs.  A woman's body is her own and she should have the choice to do with it what she wants.  But feel free to rant;)
