| Weight Loss | The first days of reduced calories..... | Jul 15 2008 15:41 (UTC) |

Oh my gosh I remember the first week of CC. I was so hungry all of the time (and thus irritable), even when I drank a lot of water and had my protein. My body just had to adjust to a healthy amount of calories. Just give it a little bit--I promise it will feel better in no time! |

Could be either/both I'd say. I had the same problem last month (my first full month of dieting), so I'd be curious as to what others say about this. It's back in all its glory this month, though! hehe! |

| Foods | Why is everyone buying into the 100 calorie pack hype???? | Jul 03 2008 17:54 (UTC) |

I like them b/c I can buy a box of 100 calorie say....Sunchips or oreos...and keep them for awhile. I don't eat chips or cookies often (anymore!), but if I have a craving, I can just get my little pouch of 100 calories. If I buy a whole bag of chips or cookies, I feel it will go to waste b/c I don't eat them everyday. If you're buying them all of the time and eating that kind of stuff all of the time, I can see it getting way too expensive and pointless. However, it works for me! |

I weigh myself every Monday right when I wake up, before I eat, and after I use the bathroom (both kinds) and naked! Clothes can make a bit of a difference. Maybe that's TMI, but that's what I do and find it is a good baseline way to measure progress. |

I had the same problem and had to look on the restaurant website to get calorie information and then input it myself |

| Weight Loss | SATC movie... samantha's weight | Jun 26 2008 01:43 (UTC) |

It's also funny how they drink martinis and such all the time and eat out all the time and all are so skinny! I guess they do live in NYC and can walk all the time! I agree that the bit about Samantha was ridiculous. The funny thing is that I didn't even notice a "weight gain" until it was pointed out to her. Ah...gotta love Hollywood! |

| Weight Loss | when did people start to notice | Jun 20 2008 01:14 (UTC) |

Thanks, everyone! I wasn't too overweight to begin with (only a bit away from the right BMI), so I don't think there's a huge visible difference quite yet. My best friend said something about it--and my husband, of course. I couldn't be prouder of myself, though, and that's all that matters! I guess you all are right, --it can be a touchy thing to mention it to someone unless you know they are trying to lose weight and get healthy. |

I just bought some Mike's Hard Lem. Light from the grocery store this weekend...Harris Teater....I'm not sure if you have one of those, but I think a lot of grocery stores are starting to carry it. They have all the flavors in Light version! It's fantastic!! :) |

Fruit is good and healthy, but too much of it is not good. Sugar, sugar! Any nutritionist or doctor will tell you that. |

| Weight Loss | Whats a reasonable goal for weight loss this summer? | May 27 2008 16:49 (UTC) |
|
I would agree with 10-15 lbs. Also remember that people naturally tend to lose weight over the summer due to the heat--at least here in the South that's the case! You just tend to sweat more and eat less heavy, comfort foods that you might eat in the winter months b/c it is SO hot!! |

| Weight Loss | Snack Attack!! | May 20 2008 15:46 (UTC) |

To each his/her own, but for me, it is helpful to have it conveniently portioned out. It may cost a little more, but that's okay for me as I'm new to this and trying to make things as easy and stress-free as possible. |

I've found the 100 calorie snack packs really helpful for either a sweet or a salty craving. Of course they're not good to eat all of the time, but it allows you to satisfy a craving without going overboard on the proportions. The oreo cookie candy one is really good! |
