I was unsure of my weight at the start I think I was 124-126. my body fat was 28%. Today I am 120, and 24% body fat. my goal was 115 and 20% but, i feel great. So I am going to keep going until i reach my goal. I wish I hit my goal by the date I wanted which was today, but the lesson I learned is I have to be happy where I am. I have to be happy at my accomplishments even if they are smaller then I hoped. i have to Love myself and good things will come. they may not happen when we want but they do happen! HAPPY 4th of july!!! good luck. And thank you all for being there I really enjoyed hearing about you seeing how well you did! you really helped me!!!!

johgar, you can do it! Don't get upset, understand that it takes time. try not to be so hard on yourself. I have affirmations that work for me. my trainer gave me one. It is hanging on my wall at work. I will get it and write it down for you. adge |

Original Post by johgar: do you write down your meals? I see that if I have a planned menu and then check off what I eat that day this helps. If you eat something that isn't on there then you will watch how your patterns go. this helped me. Also when at the store.... never put anything in your cart that you wish "had not eaten". These tricks help me. |

Hi All, LAST night I broke down and had Pink Berry. Hey it isn't 90 calories like they tell you. What? Any way how many salads and egg whites can one eat!? SW:124 at the group start. but then my scale was all over the place. it went up and down 2 pounds in one day, 126 then to 124. Oh, Actually My starting weight when I was at my heaviest in Oct. was 138. so I have really lost almost 20 pounds which I can't believe. But it has taken me months and months. Today I am PMSing and retaining water weight and the scale says 121. Hey I'll take it. Next Friday is the 4th and I leave for the British Virgin Islands for my sailing trip. If I break 120 I will be SO Frigging happy. Can anyone relate? I feel like it is taking me so long to loose these 20 pounds. I don't understand how other people can loose 10 pounds in a month! I know I am building mussel as I can see them, but my patience sometimes runs thin. To loose my last 5 pounds may take another month!

amberwolg, way to go! i was on the zone delivery for over a month it really helped with understanding the portions. The water is truly the key. I never believed people when they said drink water! today I weigh 122. and My goal is 115.
I have lost a few pounds since the start but I think i am retaining some Water weight since I am PMSing today. Unfortunately I have been in bed for the past 36 hours. I really got hit with a killer cold. Kinda like the flu but I am hungry. Go figure right?! My goal date is July 4. I know I will get down to 118. I just have to keep going. I tried on my old bikini's that haven't been pulled out in years. happy to see they fit again. Almost there!!!!!! |

hi hbbroadbent! Welcome! I know can you believe that happens?! My body changing came all at the time I was really starting to doubt my body would ever change. So I said to my self..... One last shot, Make this week my best and wammo. ALso the trainer helped too. But I am absolutely smaller. Good luck with the 5 pounds! I am sure you will do it. Also, I never drank water before. I am not kidding. I really think that the water helped just like everyone said it would!!!

First a small goal... meaning something in 2 weeks, but have a major goal in mind. Like, for me it is a vacation, but it could be smaller like a family reunion or something like that. The problem with just having a big goal is it is easy to cheat, cause you think, "oh it is 6 weeks from now this chip won't hurt". You need to take baby steps. I was stagnant for my first 4 weeks. This is really a downer. I mean I was doing everything I thought would get me there. I didn't give up,and then I swear my body looked different over night. I am not kidding. It was the strangest thing. I am so glad I kept plugging through. I didn't think my body was going to change. The scale is not the best way to determine weight loss. You can lose body fat, and the scale is not going to say that. so keep in mind how you feel. You will get there. Baby steps. |

Hi Everyone, I am 123. And have been for a straight week. this is good news. The better news is my body is getting so toned! I can't believe the changes in the past 10 days. It was like my body was asleep and then wammmmo- I see my stomach mussels and the belly button fat is almost gone! My trainer says I should not pay attention to the scale cause I am building mussel weight. I can actually see my collar bone, which I never saw before. I am taking a lot more into consideration then what the scale says.
the bad news, I went from a 36 chest to a 34. I was a C cup, now I am in between a B and C. Good luck to eveyone today. Just think.. today can be a start too. don't think about the past. just keep moving and be in the moment and honor your self where you are right now. And thank you for all you comments and support. :)

Hi All, so I met with a trainer today because I must be doing something wrong. I have not been loosing weight and my body does NOT look like I have been lifting weights. I mean I look good, but not awesome. I think I have hit a stand still. He is expensive and I have to tap into my savings, but I believe I am worth it! right! Aren't we all worth it!!! Anyway, I have a client who goes to him and she looks amazing! and is in her mid 40's.! He says that many women over work out and don't burn fat but mussel because they don't know where they should have their heart rate at. My client says she doesn't work out as hard as she did and now she is better shape. I have 4 weeks to my trip in the Caribbean. I am a single 40 year old who is going to sailing with a bunch or strangers, and I am going to be in a bathing suit everyday! EKKESSSS. At the rate I am going I will not be were I want to be so I have to kick it up a notch. I really want this! I want to feel proud of my body, and not ashamed! I will share some tips I get from him. |

amberwolg,and jonna _ atl, you guys rock, way to go. I am 123 this morning. scale is not consistant, but I was awesome this week in terms of working out and food. I did have family in town and had 2 glasses of wine with dinner. So I don't feel too bad. but i feel like I am 123 so lets see what next week brings! I am going to weigh myself on the gym scale and see what that says.

I eat the zone diet and it is a perfect 1200 cal a day. If I just keep to the diet and exercise I will loose the weight. the drinking is the ONLY thing that is keeping me from my goal. Went to buy a new scale and the ones at BBB suck. Got on the scale this morning and it said 123. last night was 127? who knows. Only the mirror and my pants determine it for me. |

I didn't loose a pound. was too bummed to write it down. Went off the booze so maybe that is why I am not loosing. Who knows. I have been at this weight for months and I haven't a clue. |

This is my perfect routine week. (and 3/4 of the 5 weeks I do it) and I am almost in bikini form. if I keep it up I will be looking fantastic for my trip and summer. gym 30 to 40 min cardio / stretch 10 min. Weights- 25 min- arms and upper body 1-2x gym 30 -40 min cardio/ stretch 10 min. Weights- 25 min- legs and lower body 1-2x yoga one time a week ( really helps!!) walk for 30 min everyday at about a 3.0 pace. If I don't hit the gym I do a DVD- Karen Voight. she is awesome! Really the best DVD trainer around. |

I don't know about eveyone else, but I ate s snickers, drank a ton, had pizza, french fries 2x, french toast, and haven't workout out in days. Memorial day killed my diet. starting over today so Friday isn't a nightmare. I feel horrible. but I felt like eating these things. I am so sick of salad and cottage cheese. I needed a break. I hadn't made those bad choices in weeks. So tonight I am going to the gym. did anyone do what I did? Feeling guilty, but glad I am back on track. adge |

I am so with you. I still didn't get a new scale, but.... when I joined this group the scale said 124. All week I was 126, then 125 and today it says I am 124 again. BUT- I feel like I am staring to see curves and my mussels looked toned. I really don't care what the scale says today. I know I am starting to see improvements!!! That is what really matters. (i'm still going to buy a new scale though.) To everyone out there.... this is awesome to have support. Way to go for our first week!!!! thank you. :) |

The scale can be wrong and it can discourage us even though we put in hard work I think getting on it everyday is a bad thing- only because it may discourage you. I can only loose about a pound a week. what good is getting on the scale each day for someone in my shoes? Some people loose 5 pounds in a week, so seeing the scale going down each day for them is their baby steps. |

Has anyone got an answer or have a similar experience? So, Today I feel pretty good. I have been working out since Jan. and there were some weeks I only went 1x some times I missed and sometimes I went 4. But I went shopping last night and even though I am retaining water weight I feel like my body is becoming toned. My Cellulite has diminished about 50% from where I was in Jan. and I am starting to see my collar bone (kinda). I definitely feel that my mussels are firmer. My question is... If we are working out and building mussel, then how does the weight go down? I know I have lost weight but the scale doesn't really reflect that very much. Can it be mussel that is making the scale read about the same each week? I just measured my inches last week, as well as my fat% so I can use that to go by. Anyone know the ratio of mussel verse fat? Why am I obsessed with what a scale says?Why can't I just go from how I feel? doesn't work that way.

theashster: I know, isn't yoga the best for tension relief! Actually, in general i have been having a really hard time these past few months with my cycle. ovarian cysts have been making my hormones CRAZY. I started going to an acupuncturist and drinking herbs. I swear I feel 1000000x better. I am Pmsing now but it is minor. Before-I really could of either jumped off a cliff or pushed someone. Working out helps my moods so much. |
