Hope you guys had a great weekend. This week was pretty rough..between going to the doctor and gettin a tetnus shot that litrally made me sick to my stomach and going to schiltterbahn on saturday i missed two work out day...not good for my diet! lol but on the bright side, I have reached my first mini goal! 199!

why dont you go on a scale and see how much you weigh for yourself..why do we have to tell you and guess how much you weigh?

this is a stupid/dumb game and i think you are trying to fish for compliments. If that is the case i think you should go to another forum because if someone says the wrong weight lord knows how upset you would be then you would probably start resulting to unhealthy ways of loosing weight.  

go to a rate me or date me site or whatever if you want people to judge you soo bad.

its been a hard week for me even though ive been working out like crazy. Hopefully it is just water weight that I have gained!

My mom has been giving me crap about eating and stuff and saying that im not loosing wieght fast enough..it hurts sometimes, i cried alot last night about it.. but i try to ignore it and think about all the support that i get here...thanks guys! the only thing that matters is that I am happy with myself and have to keep in mind that i am doing this weight loss for me and no one else.

Morning ladies :-)

im glad to report i lost another 2 pounds! :-) ive been working out like a maniac the past couple of days and its nice to see that the work is paying off..i am just one pound shy from my first mini goal of 199 which i planned on that happening right before i go back to college in late august! yaya me! lol

tmoakley11- while it does suck not to loose any weight this week its is def better than gaining!! So im proud of you for sticking with it! just keep your calories in check..get in those work outs and before you know it that '2' will slowly turn into a '1'!

 How many calories are you buring a day? Is your burn meter at sedetary and then you are adding in your exercise activites? I dont know if its me but eating 2400 calories a day is to much if you want to loose weight. I just got down to 200 lbs (205 two weeks ago) and i only eat about 1500 calories a day and work out about 6 days a week(buring about 600-800 calorie a workout). sometimes eat 1700 on a bad day

also...dont wiegh your self everyday...your weight fluctuates alot through out the week, and even through out the day because of water weight. You might be 200 in the morning but by late afternoon you could be 205.

hey guys!! i hope everyone is having an awesome week!! Im excited to say that i have lost 3 pounds in one week! and I have almost hit my minigoal of being 199 by the time school starts up again in august! I am feeling better than ever both physically and emotionally! Im eating well and working out 6 days a week i love it! My cravings for horrible fired food is gone..but i still do have trouble with sweets tho...so to surpress that craving i eat sugar free popsicals! yum!

brownsug I cannot stress enough to you how important it is to do some kind of strength training in your excercise routine!!! you dont have to do any heavy lifting eaither! i guarentee you that you will loose even more weight if you have a mix of cardio and weight training in your work out...it raises your metabolism and your muscle are still burning fat even when you are done with your work out! how awesome is that?! just remember to start small and then build up from there!!  

wants2bhot girl i looked at all your pictures today and you look GREAT! i am so proud of you...you are my motivation!! 

tmoakley11 just hang in there girl!! i am glad you know what to do to fix the problem that you are having! i am postitive if you stick with it...you will see results! remember to take it one day at a time!

I think I would like to join you guys!! I have had so much trouble loosing weight..when I entered college I was 179 now I am up to 204. Last Summer I started CC i went from 205 to about 185. For some reason being at college, it is so hard to loose weight and stay healthy!!

I want to look completely different when I walk across that stage next May and I hope you guys can give me the support I need!! I have been reading everyones posts and it looks liek you all have been doing amazing work! I am so proud of everyone! Well Here I go. I guess I will do weigh ins once a week as well..maybe monday or tuesday!! Thanks in advance for all the support!!

i would just chill out a bit. Its just been two weeks, some people go a whole month before seeing results. You just have to remember this lifestyle change is not going to happen overnight...it takes time.

Just hang in there, dont give up.

i def broke my diet....but i worked out each of those days and burned at least 700 in each work out so it gave me a little breathing room!

Just because it is a salad doesnt mean it is always healthy. Thse more things you add on to a salad especially cheese, dressing and meat, the more the calories are going to add up. So yeah it is pretty believable that your salad was 720 calories. You probably would have been better off just having a burger without cheese and mayo.

some of you guys are just being plain rediculous with these goals...YOUR BODIES ARE STILL GROWING! You do not need to loose weight at all, you need all those pounds in your body to help with your body that is going to be changing alot in the next couple of years.

I just pray none of yall start having eating disorders.

what i have learned thru my weight loss journey is that, you can work out as long/hard/and as much as you want to. If you dont change your eating habits, all that working out means nothing. If you are just merely "watching what you eat", it is not going to cut it, figure out what you want your deficit to be and try to follow it. How many calories are you eating a day, how many aare you burning, you can burn 3000 calories a day but if you are intaking 3000 you will not see any type of change.

Also, to me, elliptical machines are not very effiencent...all they do is bring up your heart reat and that is about it, the calorie counter on that machine is all out of whack if it says you burned 500 calories you probably only burned 250 at the most. I suggest that you invest in a heart rate monitor with a calorie counter to see how many calories you burn on the monitor. It is way more accurate than those machines at the gym.

i say eat a piece of it after a really huge work out...and i talking like a work out where you burn like 800-1000 calories or something, and then just throw the rest away. end of story you wont eat cake thats been in the trash can.

i would savor the hell out of that piece that you eat too! wedding cake is always soo good!

You are a very beautiful woman and it is sad that your husband cannot realize that, you should def bring it up and talk to him about it. If you are happy with the way you look, then nothign else should matter.

im 20...counting down the days to 21!!

Motivation: My boyfriend is a great motivator for me...when i tell him that i cant do something he always reassures me that I can and he knows how hard I am working. Working out at least 6 days and week eating healthy and all, he is just so great. My other accomplishments in life is something else that motivates me. I am doing really well in college right now, doing many things I thought i could never do but i did them. so i thought why not weight loss?! I know this is probably going to be one of the biggest challenges in my life, but I just tell myself to be strong and stick through it. Hopefully by the time I graduate college in two years, I would like to be at least 50 lbs lighter...and look damn good in that cap and gown =)

Loss?: I have lost 6 lbs since ive joined this site May 19. I would like to lose at least 20 lbs by the time I get back to school in August. I would be so proud of myself!


How Long on CC?: I have been apart of CC for about almost a month now, I joined last summer as well lost some weight but fell of the bandwagon once i got back to school but this time i plan on stickin with it!

i have just been trying hard to log in my calories...i really dont log on the weekend even though i should! but i work out at least 6-7 times a week burning at least 600 calories each work out i started in the beginning of may i loose about 1 pound a week...i want to loose at least 2 lbs a week! does anyone know how i can do this if i eat 1500-1600 calories a day?

I would like to get in on this! I have about 10-11 weeks left of summer so if i lost 20 pounds it will be great! i am on a 1500-1600 calorie limit a day and exercise 6 days a weeks burning about 500-600 calories a work out...am i on the right track be down 20 lbs by the end of the 10 weeks? i am currtenly 199 ive lost 6 lbs already i wantt to eventually get down to 145 but loosing 20 this summer would be a great start!! any help is apperciated...thanks!!

your deficit is not big enough. If you are eating 1350 calories and your burn around 1700 from just living that only leaves a deficit of 350. A pound is 3500 calories so you should be having deficts around 500-1000 a day if you want to see a change on the scale. You def should be excercising more and buring alot more calories try that for a couple of weeks and let me know if that works out for you!

Those elliptical machines are usually off by at least between 150-200 calories. I would highly reccommed getting a heart rate monitor to count the caloris you burn off during a work out i just bought a new Polar RS200 that is just amazing! The good ones that count calories are a bit pricy (mine was $150) but they are totally worth it...it will definatly change the way that you work out!

And yeah you totally need to go to the doctor to to get your heart checked out...it doesnt sound to good!
