I just have two things to say... 1. OMG onion rings have less calorie than fries!?!?!? I love it!!! 2. for #12 - Crystal Light To Go packs are a great replacement for soda and since you just mix them in water - its only 5 calories per serving!!!! |

| Fitness | Does anyone own a Bodybugg?? | Jun 19 2008 23:01 (UTC) |

a friend of mine had a bodybug - its not exactly subtle - if you are wearing a t-shirt or sleeveless - its just totally out there on your upper arm. She said it worked for her (she was trying to stay below her weight limit for her Crew team) but it required her to download all the activity at the end of the day (which means you need to have the computer program that goes with it) and it was kind of expensive. She bought it discounted from a friend who worked at 24hr Fitness - she said that otherwise she wouldn't have paid the full price for it. |

| Fitness | Have you tried Perfect Water? | Jun 19 2008 22:56 (UTC) |

I did think about it possibly being a placebo effect... which is kind of why I want to see if anyone else has tried it... As for tap water - we don't have the best quality tap water in LA, so I end up spending money on bottled water or sports drinks anyway. And the oxygen thing totally confuses me because you are totally right H2O - like i said - i don't know all the background on it - or at least I don't understand it. LOL. |

| Calorie Count | --!! Water-meter? | Jun 17 2008 23:15 (UTC) |

This is such a good idea!!! I feel like we are always being reminded of the benefits of water, but you are right, I don't add water to my log simply because it feels silly to add something with no calories or nutritional value. Having a water-intake meter with suggested oz per day according to height, weight, & activity level would be so great! So.. in other words... I second this request!!!! |

| Calorie Count | Question about food log?! | Jun 17 2008 22:59 (UTC) |

You know, one of the things I find frustrating about the food log is that I'll usually repeat the same breakfasts in the same quantities on different days of the week. The way the food log is set up only allows you to add one food at a time. Maybe [they] should allow for an option where you can add an entire meal to your food log on another day. For example: I eat 3/4 cups of Cheerios and 1/2 cup of milk for breakfast on Monday 6/16, then on Tuesday 6/17 I eat the same breakfast. There should be an option where I can add the exact same meal to another day without having to add each individual component. Where would I even suggest something like that? |

Here goes... 23 yrs old, 175 lbs, 5'1". Just started on CC and need to get and stay motivated! My goal is be be down in the 130s - and yes, I too should be eating about 1200 calories per day to meet that goal. I realize that this thread has been going for a while... but what have you ladies been doing to reach your goal weights... and how is it working out?? |

| Weight Loss | Women in or around Los Angeles that want to lose about 100 pounds. | Jun 04 2008 21:27 (UTC) |

Hey! I live in Pasadena near the Rose Bowl! I just started on CC a few weeks ago - I'm somewhat keeping up with it, somewhat not. I'm one of those team players - I'll do anything when there are people counting on me - nothing when the only person counting on me is ME. So actually working out in a group would be good for me. My weight loss goal is actually about 40lbs - at least thats all I think is realistic for my build. I'm athletic - play soccer on weekends - but need motivation to get my ass off the couch during the week. I'm so busy most of the time that when I have time to be lazy - I take advantage - so I need to start PLANNING my workouts instead of just going "whenever I feel like it". What are your mid-week workouts looking like? Walking the Rose Bowl? 24Hr Fitness Altadena? What time? Maybe I'll join you? |

Why can athletes eat so much?
Athletes need adequate calories to offset those they burn in training and competition. They eat to either maintain their body mass or gain muscle... Read more
