| Weight Loss | Question on "No Calorie" candies | Nov 14 2008 22:01 (UTC) |

If you by them in a package of 2 (which comes in another layer of packaging) it actually says that they contain 3 calories per candy. On the actual hard package however it says zero calories. Its a little wierd that they do that. |

| Weight Loss | Am I in starvation mode? | Nov 13 2008 16:22 (UTC) |

Entering startvation mode doesnt happen instantly. Starvation mode occurs when your body is using muscle mass as a source of energy, which is a slow decrease in muscle . Because you are lying in bed all day your not using that much energy, probabaly just above you basal metabolic rate. If your BMR is around 1300 or 1400 then consuming 800/900 wont cause too much muscle loss but there will be a bit. |

Its perfectly fine to stop, you just have to make sure you finish that cycles pills. Stopping your pills in the middle of the pack will mess up your cycle for a while. It will take a few months for your cycle to get back to the way it was before you started taking BC, but thats normal. Hope that helps :) |

I know how you feel about eatting a normal amount, feel full, but when you get to that point you just want to keep going. You think you can control it but you really cant, its almost impossible to stop yourself. The only thing that seems to stop me is that im so full im in a lot of pain. Sometimes to the point where its uncomfortable to even walk. Then the next day it feels like my muscles and digestive system are bruised or something, its horrible. I find i always binge on weekends. If everyone else is eatting i want to eat too, but then i cant stop. |

Well the other day I was feeling very bloated so i chugged 2 huge glasses of water. I had to pee every hour, which got annoying, but after i balanced out i wasn't bloated at all anymore. Just from that experiance i believe drinking water gets rid of extra water weight. :) |

Don't worry you didnt gain 7 pounds. Like everyone is saying some of it is water weight. But you also have to rememeber that food itself has weight. 1,500 grams of food (a normal amount) is actually around 3 pounds, crazy i know! After you have a BM, some weight will drop. It may take a few days to lose the extra food weight but dont worry, it will balance out :) |

This is a great forum! I weighed about 110 my highschool years and I would eat whatever I wanted and never gained a pound. Then university came and i went up to 118. I know its not a lot but im only 5'2 so it was noticable. This summer i calorie restriced to 1200, then in the past 2 months about 800. I was doing great on my low cal diet and then my friends birthday weekend came where I told myslef that it will be a free weekend so eat whatever you want. I gained about 2 pounds from it and now its been a starve/binge cylcle ever since. I dont know whats wrong with me, it was so easy before to stick to my diet. Im at about 102 pounds now and i dont want to gain weight. My BMI is on the boarder of healthy/underweight so I think its ok to maintain this weight. But it seems that if i eat anymore than 1500 cal i gain weight, so i cant get into maitenence :(. If i binge then ill eat 800 cal for the next few days to try and get back to where i was b4 the binge. Is there any relef? |

| Weight Loss | so hard to stop binging | Aug 22 2008 22:19 (UTC) |

The key is to plan out your day. In the morning think of everything you are going to eat, add up the calories, and think about how happy you will be if you stay at or near that goal. All it takes is will power. I find that if im craving something bad ill stop and think about how i will feel after I eat it. After a few minutes most of the time the craving has past. |

I doubt it helps with belly fat, but I do know of a study where people who ate low calorie yogurt every day as a snack lost more weight than people who didn't. |

Whenever im hungry but don't want to destroy my calorie count for the day I usually go for popcorn (low-calorie or air popped) or a small bowl of baby carrots. The baby carrots are amazing, they always fill me up. |
