Hi all, I've been disconnected from cc for a while, and need to get back on the band-wagon. So here are my stats: 48 y/o - 4'11' 3/4 - going through menopause..I live in Miami Goal weight: 116 Current (starting again) weight: 131 [lose 15 lbs] Glories: I have been going to the gym 2X weekly for a circuit weight training routine for about 30 minutes. I also do 10-15 minutes on the cross trainer. I am starting WW and point counting this coming week. |

Hello All! I've been out on vacation and fallen off the band-wagon...havent posted my weigh in, so here it goes. Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 126.4 lbs For now I want to lose the 2 lbs I gained during vacation and then take it down to 120. |

Friday 7/11/08 WI: Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 126.4 lbs Confession: I wanted to eat chocolate ice cream, and got the WW- 2pt popsicles instead....OH SO HARD TO STAY FOCUSED!!!!! Most of this week I've WI@125.4 thru yesterday, and today Im @126.4!! go figure!!! I noticed that my sodium intake is high, so I will keep an eye on the sodium and lower my intake. It causes to retain water, and can be the culprit to my weight loss goals. |

Happy Indepence day everyone! Friday 7/4/08 WI: Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 127.6 lbs (+1 from last wk) Confession: girly time hitting me out of wack! had donuts, pizza, and chocolates :( I didnt go to the gym this week, but did some gazelle time at home. I will aim for 2 gym classes this coming week, maybe not the spinning class, just cardio and weights. I'll start slowly again. |

Friday 6/27/08 WI: Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 126.6 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs Confession: behaved this week and got results! I did overdo it with exercise and paid the price. Took a spinning class and did weights the same day - dont do it!!! I could hardly walk! leg muscles feeling better and will try again tomorrow. How is everyone else doing? |

Yes Welcome jeannierom828, and lorawilson1! Congrats Jeannierom828 on your new low-weight. We little people have to work EXTRA to lose weight, so here in CC is where we can all share our glories and pains. :-) We have a weekly weigh-in post on fridays. Some of us -older little people (over 45, under 5')- suffer the woes of dealing with menopausal hormonal symptoms that make it even more difficult (but certainly not impossible) to lose weight. We just have to be a tad-more patient. ;) I look forward to being inspired by your accomplishments! Happy Thursday!

Friday 6/20/08 WI: Starting weight: 131 lbs Current weight: 129 lbs Goal weight: 112 lbs Confession: this week's "splurge" was 6pcs (1sv) of Lindt chocolate little bites! (3 svs p/bar).... I really enjoyed it though.... ;) Comments: I am dissapointed and a tad bit discouraged with the up and down trend of my weight. (last week 126.8 this week 129) BUT, I will focus on my end goal and remind myself, that "I've only just begun" my journey 26 days ago and take it a day at a time. |

Wow Jaymo, congratulations on going to the gym every day this week and on losing ".2 lbs"! Also, when I attended the WW meetings last year; they told us that when we start working out our muscles, that our weight would either stay the same or be higher for the first few weeks. So, dont let your heart be troubled, and keep up the good work-outs. It will balance itself. Onward Jaymo! you lost .2 lbs and it is better than not losing, or even better than gaining weight due to muscle gain. I am encouraged by you and will start going to the gym to do strength training 2X per week. I will also use my gazelle as a backup. I will let you know how I do next week! Chin UP! Hi Anitasw! Im sure glad to know someone really understands my weight-woes! :-) By the way all, I really like the tools that this site provides. I've entered my daily food intake daily and it gives me a grade! In the words of my 22y/o son, it is "Uber-cool "! ha-ha. Losing weight used to be a lot easier when I was younger, but I cannot give up. Had a Bronchitis spout this week, the medication really messes up my system. Back to the drawing board with a different color! :-) gotta stay positive and keep the faith. On that note, if I manage to win this weight-war, I am taking myself to the George Michael Concert when he visits Miami in August! (how's that for a motivation!) Have a great evening all. I am 4'11 and 47, I would like to join your forum for support. I am at 131, although some days 129, and the next day back at 131!!!! I work in an office, and use the gazelle for 45 minutes at least 4x a week. I am going through the change (menopause) and it has become harder than ever to lose weight. I feel heavy and want to lose 20 lbs. I'd love to know what has worked for you! BTW-Friday weigh-in sounds like a plan. Thanks. |
