I'm having the same problem. Yesterday at 133 my target date was September 24, but this morning at 131 it was October 17. My goal is to be 115 by August 27, and by my calculations that's less than 1.5 lbs a week so it's not really an unhealthy goal.

I'm going into my senior year this year, so I'm knee-deep in college application stuff :) I want to major in biology with a minor in genetics, and go to med school and study radiology, go into a research biology field and do something with genetics, or become a genetic counselor.

My top school, by far, is Brown University. The chances of me getting in are slim, but I'm trying to stay positive :) My other schools include Tufts, Johns Hopkins, and NYU.

Oh, and soccerislove05: Ithaca is absolutely beautiful! I went there over April vacation to visit both Ithaca College and Cornell, since they're so close. I was originally more interested in Cornell, but I soon changed my mind. Ithaca has a beautiful campus, and everyone there was really nice. It's small, but that's kind of what I'm looking for. It also has a great reputation. The tour was really helpful, too. Cornell was just too big for me :/

I figured I'd check in and see how everyone is going with their goals so far :)

I didn't quite make mine...I'm back up to 124. It's only about half a pound, so I'm not upset really :)

I think my new goal will be to be down to 123 by Saturday. I'm going to be seeing a bunch of my classmates during the day and I want to surprise them.

How is everyone else doing?

Today I ate 1430 cals. :)

Part of me still feels like a lot of what I ate was unnecessary, though :/

I just can't get over the mental block.

Now that you mentioned it, I think maybe I should change my goal from getting down to 123 to maintaining the 123.4 I'm at right now through the long weekend. My brother's birthday is the 4th, so we'll be having a big cook-out, and of course the inevitable cake :) I think trying to maintain will be more helpful in the long run.

I don't nessecarily "dislike" these parts of my body. I love them! and I want them to be healthy, which is why I'm focusing on improving them :) Because they deserve to be well taken care of.

Very well-stated. I never meant for "problem areas" to be negative. I don't dislike these parts either. I love my body, but there are some parts that I know aren't as strong as they could be. I love my arms, but ever since I stopped playing softball, they've lost all of their muscle tone. They're a "problem" because it's hard to get them back in shape.

My friend and I used to work out 4-5 times a week, but we both started working and had to stop for a while. We're trying to start it up again :)

Age: 17

Weight: 127

Height: 5'3"

Goal: 120 by the last day of school (June 19), then 115 at some point during the summer :)

About me: When I first started my dieting in March, my goal was to go from 141 to 130 for my junior prom. I did it, and I've felt so good since I lost it. I'm hoping to be down between 110-115 for the start of my senior year :)
