Original Post by nikki2225:

Did anyone find when they set up your profile that the weight they gave you for a healthy weight was really low? Mine said 128. I just cant imagine being that tiny, but I feel 135 is healthy for me and will be maintable.

I  completely agree Nikki. CC says I should be no more than 130, but I think I will be okay at 135. That will make me a healthly size 6.

Hi guys.... I'm a little late joing; hope that's okay :-)  I am 5'3", currently 166 lbs. I neeeed to be 150 by June 1st (vacation), but I'd like to go down to 135-140 eventually.

I used CC years ago to lose weight, so I am back. I started 4/6 at 169.

I don't plan on weighing myself until May 1st, so I will just get on here to be motivated by everyone else :-)

Hey fellow NYers! Looks like I'm about 2 years too late on this one, but any plans to meet up again? I think this is a GREAT idea, even if just at a lounge or something!

Hi guys.... I hope it's not too late for me to join. I am a 29 year old single mom, 5'3", 166 lbs. I have a 7 year old son, so I can't exactly call my weight "baby weight" anymore, haha.

I have struggled with my weight for the last 10 yrs, yo-yoing anywhere from 130 to 170. The past 2-3 years, I have just become complacent with my weight gain. Then one of my male (hot) co-workers saw pictures of me from 2006 and told me I look like a COMPLETELY different person. That stung. I'm too young to look like a completely different person.

I've been single for yeeeears. I haven't had a date in about 8 months.... worse yet, I haven't had a SECOND date in 2 years. I can't help but attribute being alone to my weight gain.

So, I have an immediate weight loss goal of 15 lbs (150lbs) by June 1st (going on vacation). But overall I would like to get to 135-140. It's just so hard having a kid to take to school, pick up from school, do homework, take to karate, etc. I have tried going to the gym 3 times a week, but I can never stay longer than an hour. Diet-wise, I am doing my own version of Slim Fast.... fruit and green tea for breakfast, sandwich & salad for lunch, and slim fast for dinner. Keeps me at about 1100 calories a day.

I neeeeeed motivation to keep this up every day. I used to be a loyal CC member years ago and you guys are the best. I just started up again last week and have lost 3 lbs already (water weight I'm sure), but I still have 15 to go. I look forward to us helping each other along on this journey!!!!!

Weight Loss SLim Fast DIet success so far. Apr 09 2009

I just started Slim Fast 3 days ago. I am using it as a meal replacement for dinner. I weigh(ed) 168 at the time and my immediate goal is 150 by June 1st, 135 overall.

I drink 2-3 cups of green tea in the morning - Splenda, no milk. I also eat fruit all morning.

I have a normal lunch; about 500 calories.

For dinner I have my Slim Fast.

It's been rough, but I need to lose a quick 20 pounds by June 1st. Any tips?

Orrrrrrrrrrr, how about Shrimp kabobs??? You can marinade it in teriyaki sauce over night and bake in the oven (if you dont have a grill). Put some onions and peppers on the kabob stick with the shrimp, and it'll be delish!

Hey guys. Count me in. I feel like I'm starting over everyday. I am officially at my heaviest weight (not counting when I was pregnant). I'm about 161 pounds. My friends keep saying they can't tell (God bless them, they mean well) but I know better. I recently spilt a pair of jeans in the crotch; a pair of $150 Seven jeans at that. So it's time to get serious. I have two months to drop about 15 pounds. Pray for meeeeeeeeeeeeee. I will try to get on here everyday for motivation.

lol @ bookworm for washing turkey. That's toooo funny.

I used to do the bagged lettuce also. When I did, I always washed it b4 eating and threw it out 3 days from the date I opened it. Since I heard about the bacteria it carries, I started buying fresh Romaine.

I just weighed myself this morning and I'm 151 (I'm 5'3" by the way). I started this club and hopefully I'll be the first member to leave it too. lol. I'm going to Disney next week so it'll probably be hard the eat good, but I will be doing a lot of walking, so hopefully that will compensate.

Hey rahana. I have the regular ol' 20 gig iPod and it's nothing but trouble. After 6 months the battery completely conked out on me and I had to send it back. They gave me a new one and now it freezes up sometimes. Of course, I'm no longer covered by the warranty. I've heard good things about the mini and the video ones. I bought mine at the Apple store in Soho, but they also opened an Apple store in Westchester. What part of NY are u from?

The best way I increase my fiber intake is by eating whole wheat products instead of white. And vegetarian baked beans are good also.

I bought low-cal polly-o string cheese for myself and my son ended up loving it. We also eat a lot of fruit. When I want something sweet, I have my 100 calorie packs. He eats those too, even though he has his own set of cookies to snack on. But I make sure he knows candy, chips, cookies, etc. are a treat and not something he can have everyday.

I love diet Pepsi. So much that I actually can't stand the taste of any regular sodas anymore. One thing I have heard is that diet sodas have something in them addictive, and I BELIEVE it. I've limited myself to one tall glass a day.

I had a colonic done last summer. It didn't hurt. As they're filling you up with the fluid, you just feel cramps. And as the fluid is released, you feel like you're going on yourself. lol. It's very uncomfortable and they say you need to do it a few times to really clean your colon out, but I never went back b/c it's kind of expensive.
