Hello. I am a mini-binger. I usually eat four meals a day, each one at about 500 calories, so I end up at 2000 a day. However, sometimes, at those meals, I'll finish my meal and then immediately have a taste for something else. I'll tell myself in my head that I'm not actually hungry but I have to have it anyway. After, I absolutely hate myself and get very angry. It's really upsetting to work really hard the whole day to have a deficit and then end up binging and all the hard work goes to waste. I wish I could take the past hour back (in which I just consumed about 1000 calories). I'm here to stop this! Hopefully tomorrow will be my "No Binge Day 1"! |

I've eaten 2300 calories today! But like you, it feels great because my deficit is still around 600. I ran nine miles today! So I burned a ton. |

KDJSKALDSjklahf I eat this yogurt almost every day! I am angry about the extra calories, even though it's only 20. Every calorie counts! And more sugar? What is this?! The yogurt tasted fine to me before and now it tastes exactly the same...for 20 more calories and FOUR more grams of sugar. I just think that's ridculous. My mom was telling me that Alpha-bits (the cereal) did the same thing a few years ago, adding unhealthy sugars and calories to the cereal just to make it taste better. However, so many people complained that they changed it back to the original! I'm emailing Dannon. Haha, I'm sure they'll listen to me :P |

Okay thanks. I'm a teen as well, so I was also wondering if teens naturally have higher metabolisms. Anyone else? |

Ooh! I like the "you already know what it tastes like, don't taste it again." I've also heard the "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels." |

For lunch I'll have two waffles topped with one tablespoon of peanut butter and then I cut up a banana and place the slices on top. Delicious! EDIT: I see that somebody beat me to the PB+banana! |

I'm a teenager, and I personally feel that swear words are just more words. I was taught they were bad words and never to say them. Though I would never swear in front of superior adults like teachers or my friends' parents, I do often around my friends. Honestly though, words are words. They don't mean anything, so why not? If it helps express how you feel, then go for it. Although I do enjoy trying to come up with a better vocabulary word to replace a swear word with. |

I'm a teenager, and when I was a few years younger I used to eat whatever I wanted and I stayed thin. I mean, I usually ate 1000 in peanut butter alone everyday! I think it's weird that I could be really thin a few years ago consuming mass amounts of food but now I have to watch everything to maintain 123lbs. |

The same thing has happened to me. I lost about twenty pounds, and only people who I've told that I was trying to lose weight have noticed. Otherwise, I seem to look no different :[ |

Yeah, I'm staying within my calories (1800-2000) for the day, and meeting my nutritional needs. I run a lot, and bananas are high in potassium so I don't get sore as much. I'm glad it's not a problem! I love bananas. |

Cheerios! high in fiber, low in calories. I usually add a banana for taste if it's too plain. I love them, and eat them every morning! |

Hey! I've been looking for a group like this just to talk to and share tips and tricks with. I'm 5'7 and currently 122, looking to go down to about 118. Once I get to 118, it's all about toning up! On Monday, my cross country camp starts, so I'll be running at least 4-5 miles six days a week. I see that lots of you run for exercise too! My mom and I also take a pilates class every Saturday, which I love. Anyway, I started at 142 about two months ago, so I'm happy at 122, but 118 is at the rock bottom of my BMI range, so if it's still healthy, I'm there! Anyway, today is weigh in day, so here's my stats! CW: 122 Measurements: 33, 26, 35
wallcow, that banana smoothie sounds awesome! Definitely making that tomorrow :] |

| Fitness | getting to the gym in the summer | Jun 12 2008 03:45 (UTC) |

I find that when I don't want to go to the gym I'm much happier slipping on my jogging shoes and going right outside my house for a jog. The fresh air feels nice, so you can enjoy the day during the run! Also, I love running in the morning because then I can go through the rest of the day knowing that I've already done my body well. Also, the air and temperature is colder (not much, but it does make a difference) in the morning, motivating me to get out there. Otherwise, I have a Nike poster in my bedroom that shows a runner with a perfect body running and their slogan "JUST DO IT" in bold. Gets me everytime! Just think, every minute you spend thinking about how you don't want to go to the gym but you know you should and blah blah blah is another minute of time wasted for the day you want to spend BBQing or whatever else your heart desires :] |

I wouldn't complain all you $8/hour people. I'm sixteen, so the Illinois minimum wage ($7.50) supposedly doesn't apply to me. Still getting $7/hour...after THREE years...stupid bosses. |

Lifesource Natural Foods sounds cool. As for the fast food and pizza places, stay away! The public is ungrateful and annoying lol (although there are some exceptions) :] It was hard to stop eating everything in sight at DQ when I first started working there a few years ago, but now everything is repulsive and I only binge on a blizzard there once every three weeks or so. It would be tough to work at a fast food or pizza place and not eat all that food! |

PS: shouldn't there be more weigh-ins rather than one on the first of July? Maybe like once a week, so we can keep on track. |

Original Post by shanonna: Okay, you're very right about the fact that overweight girls should have confidence, and I think you're wonderful to say that you feel hot, whether you are fat or thin. I think that attitude is what everyone needs to feel! All I'm saying is that I grew up believing that curvy refers to hip structure, boobs, and butt, not extra weight. But I also believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect the fact that you call yourself curvy. :] |

This summer season marks my third season at Dairy Queen. As glamorous as it may sound, ice cream can be a monster ;] Throw in the under minimum wage, the over 40 hours a week, and you have your self no life and a lacking pay check. It's nice to have something to do though. I'm really looking for a new teen-friendly job though, more pay please! |
