A baked sweet potato slathered in almond butter and sprinkled with cinnamon, along with a glass of skim milk. Followed by a glass of chamomile tea. If I was on death row my stomach would be too much in knots for anything else! Something simple, warm, and comforting would be my best bet. |

Garlic, none of this "delicate onion flavor" for me. For a nice fall activity, would you rather go picking in a pumpkin patch or an apple orchard? |

Marscapone, I love the sweet tanginess. Winter foods (think hot chocolate, hearty stews and soups, warm bowls of oatmeal, holiday meals, roasted root vegetables, etc.) or.. Summer foods (think garden salads, ice cream cones, fresh berries, ice cold lemonade, barbecues and cook-outs, etc.)? |

You wake up really early and are very hungry, but don't want to make breakfast yet? A mug of black coffee or a pot of tea, maybe with a piece of fruit. You oversleep, rush out the door and need something to keep you going till later? A greek yogurt with berries and seeds, or an almond butter and banana sandwich on whole grain bread. You have time (e.g. the weekend) to make a leisurely breakfast? It's the mid morning tummy rumbles and you want a filling snack? Plain yogurt with fruit, and a mug of tea. You had time to pack a favorite lunchbag? A whole grain wrap spread with goat cheese and filled with turkey, green apple slices, and spinach; along with the rest of the apple on the side, carrot and celery sticks with hummus for dipping, maybe a serving of almonds or walnuts mixed with dried fruit, and a bottle of water. You forgot to pack lunch and are using the canteen/local shop? A mixed greens salad topped with grilled chicken breast or salmon, an apple, and a container of greek yogurt, along with water. Your at home ill and aren't that hungry but have a snack for lunch? Toast spread with almond butter and local honey with a glass of skim milk. It's a couple of hours till your gym session/ workout and you want an energy boost? A smoothie with a frozen banana, unsweet almond milk, cinnamon, and fresh spinach. You've finished the workout and want something to refuel as it's a while before you'll get dinner? The same as above only with half the banana and a spoonful of almond butter. You have almost no food in the house for dinner and have to make something from staples/order food? Black beans and brown rice, with sauteed bell peppers, onion, and spices. You are hungry right before bed and want a light and healthy snack? A glass of skim milk, fruit, or a small bowl of plain yogurt with nuts. You are at your favorite restaraunt and can have whatever you like? Seasons 52, and I'd get something I've never had before. You have friends round for dinner in normal circumstances - (i.e. on a budget, the usual amount of time to prepare)? Bison burgers (with feta cheese, spinach, and a touch of garlic in them) grilled and served on whole grain buns with cucumber, tomato, red onion slices, and a tangy lemon yogurt sauce, along with baked sweet potato fries and fruit salad on the side. To drink I'd make a homemade unsweetened hibiscus iced tea. Edit: Completely forgot about the "3 things" part. Oh well! |

Original Post by umneydurak: Agreed! I think this breakfast sounds delicious. It isn't worth it if we can't enjoy something like Nutella just because there are healthier choices out there. There's always going to be something healthier, might as well pick the choices that are best for us. |

It's probably just the sodium in it since it's canned. It doesn't rate a food on how healthy it is, it just looks for a balance of numbers. You really shouldn't take the grading too seriously, it can be way off sometimes. |
