I keep reading about Basal Body temperatures, I bought a Basal Body themometer but it doesn't ever seem to change at all....

How long have you been at it, and when do you take the temp?

Bier, thanks for the website! (And encouragement)

Good to know it's possible. Maybe you should send me some of that water you're drinking up there, huh? lol

And santonacci, I've been off the pill for about 14 days or so. (I know I'm jumping the gun somewhat)

I've been on cycle altering birth control almost all my adult life so I don't know what my cycle is. That makes it really hard to use my calendars. But I guess if I have to wait and plot for a few months, then so be it.

I take my temp as soon as my alarm goes off every morning. Before I even get out of bed. That's what I had heard was the best time.

I wasn't aware I was looking for such a minute change.

I'll look into the fertility monitors. I had thought about that, but was afraid to spend the money and it be a waste.

Thanks for the help ladies.

I make up more of a budet then number of gifts.

She's a little older now, (9) so she's not quite as demanding. I have her give me a list of the things she wants and buy the things that she wants the most and isn't just insane.

Santa always brings one big present a year. (A bike, The Wii, A new Scooter, etc) plus stocking stuffers.

Thanks guys, I think I'm starting to get it.

So, it's not a problem with my T.V., Blu-ray player, or the actual disc?  And, it's not a problem with any of the three not being compatible with each other? It just depends on how the movie is shot?

Since we don't have a zoom option on our T.V., I guess we will just have to live with the letter-boxing (I finally know what the black bars are called).  I have to admit, I'm pretty disappointed.  Why buy a big HD T.V. and an insanely expensive Blu-ray player just to get a smaller, albeit clearer, picture?!

I'll have to show all of your responses to my husband, he is much more knowledgeable on the subject, so I'm sure it will all make more sense to him.  Thanks again!

Oh, and we'll both check out that website, it looks like it will be very helpful.

It's not a problem with the tv or BluRay player. It's a different way the movies are formatted and filmed.

You get the BluRay version to get the full experience of the way the movie was seen from the director's perspective. You're not really losing anything from the top and bottom but you are gaining on the sides.

There are BluRays that are filmed to where they will not have the "black bars" but kind of few and far between from what I've seen. (I'm at the video story weekly renting, and typically buying new ones every couple weeks)

You do have the option of changing your settings on a lot of tv's and players though so you could switch it out of that format somewhat, but then you'll be losing the extra footages from the sides.

It's a panoramic view is the easier way to put it. It's like when you watch a movie on tv and it comes up in the begining and says "Formatted to fit your tv" that's when they take the film that was shot (that you see on your BluRay) and they "zoom" it in. Cutting off the sides.

I hope things work out, Kim. But.. remind me and I'll give you the name of a book K just got about job hunting and stuff, in case you feel like it's time to start researching.

Oh pass along! I'm just goofing off at work today because this is my last week here.

They decided to go ahead and let me go cause I have too many medical appointments that just don't fit into their schedule.

So now I'm fired cause I have to go to the doctor, but won't be able to afford the COBRA to go to the doctor... pretty much screwed.

I haven't hear of it, but will look into it.

I also can not believe that it has been 10 years. It's one of those things that haunts the back of your mind like it was last week.

We had a similiar case here a few years back where the body of a local man was found in a lake stuffed into a suitcase. All because he was gay.

This has to stop.

I teach my children, clothe my children, feed my children.  I also lead by example.  This is how I do my job in my house.  I and my husband have always made the food choices in this house.  My kids do have a treat every now and then but I regulate it.

My biggest pet peeve is seeing toddlers drinking coke or pepsi and eating chips for lunch.

I've seen parents put the coke and fizzy stuff in bottles and sippy cups and then have to hold their finger over the top until it quits squirting out before they can give it to the kid. Kills me

today I am at 150.5! Woohoo!
Don't have my tape to measure but I'll do so next week

Splurged a little and had a few sodas, a piece of ice cream cake and a piece of pie, so I was a little worried.

 So I don't forget tomorrow.

149 even on the scales this morning!

Might have some water weight to log tomorrow if I remember to come back in as I am eating some pretty high sodium content right now. Argh

Not really per say, though I am quite comfortable walking around my own house in the nude, or just in panties or something.

My husband does not, he doesn't even go nude to bed.

My parents were open about nudity, it's still nothing to me to go to my mother's house and talk to her while she's in the shower or just getting out or walking around in her undies as well.

My daugther is nine and she walks around in panties all the time. We've only recently gotten her that far, up until about 5 she was more often naked than anything. lol

I thinking teaching children there is nothing wrong with nudity and their natural body is important.

My child is typically more of a health nut than I am.

I have the sweet tooth and she'll be snacking on fresh brocolli and lecturing me on how it's bad...

That being said, I brought her up that way. She knows to put good things in her body and being raised without a high-fat/high sugar diet she just doesn't perfer those things.

Typically I lead by example and have the brocoli with her, but sometimes I have to indulge in that Little Debbie! lol

She does the same. On occassion she'll eat some "sugary" cereals but they are still fairly healthy in the nutrient and vitamins category.

Sure she quotes Tony the Tiger when he comes on TV but I really can't recall her ever asking for that brand. Coco Crispies and things like that maybe, but it's not an everyday.

I don't think that the cartoon characters have a bigger influence over daily life and parents teachings and examples.

My experience is a little dated as I was on it about 10 years ago. They very well might have changed the formula a bit since then.

I got my first injection when I was 16. Had irregualr spotting and bleeding off and on throughout the first two shots, so six months. At one point I bled for nearly 3 weeks.

I know they told me while you're body is adjusting to any type of period stopping or reducing birth control methods there is always an adjustment period and always a possibility of spotting and long periods until your body adjusts. (I'm on the seasonall now, and they went through the same speal)

I was on the depo for about 9 years and never had a period at all. (Except that first transition period)

I've taken a lot of online courses.

My favorites have been anything involving theology. tons of fun

I had a class last semester that I got to develop my own utopian society as a semester long project for a sociology couse, those are fun online.

Criminalogy was fun online as well.

Think about things that inspire discussion and debate and those are the best classes.

Creative Writing and English classes are fun too.

Most of your grade, or at least a lot are based on the forum discussions, so you want something that is going to inspire you to come back and talk about it!

Can't stop once I start.

I always say, I'll order some then just eat a little bit... yeah right

That sodium packed on another two pounds, I had previously lost, due to having chinese twice and sushi once this week!

Congratulations on your weight loss.

I am sorry that your husband is being a butthead.

Perhaps counseling (marriage or just for you) would be worth considering?

MOLLY

I agree with Molly, maybe he doesn't seem to realize what it is doing to you? He could have had past history that makes him that way without really understanding the hurt it causes.

Random example, we don't give hugs in my family, we just never have not that there wasn't love but just not hugs. Now when someone goes to hug me it kind of freaks me out because I'm just not used to that sort of affection.

Maybe it could be something like that.

And of course, congrats on the weight loss! You've come so far already! I couldn't imagine doing it without a good support group! You must be very strong!

Weight Loss How often to weigh? Sep 23 2008

Apparently I'm the obsessive poster.

I weight myself everymorning to track my changes and make sure I'm on track.

I know it'll change a little based on water weight and that sort of thing.

I also weigh myself quite often at night to just to see if I've mainly stayed the same or eaten too much and need to take some extra flax seed or drink some extra water the next day.

but I don't change what I'm doing based on the scale. I still keep about my eating habits the same as I have been.
