I have tried the 30 day shred and it does kick your butt. I also have the no more trouble zones and I like that one a lot better, still kicks your butt but it is the tinest bit easier. |

| Fitness | Any women starting p90x? | Oct 14 2009 23:52 (UTC) |

Hello! I have not started P90X yet(nor have I bought it), but I am super excited about trying it. I have been going to the gym for a while now, but I get so bored there and don't have a whole lot of time to get there anyway. I have some questions for all of you avid users out there. 1) How useful was it to you for loosing weight? I weigh 158 (i'm 5'2) and I want to weigh around 120 (goal is 115). Is this doable? 2) How did it compare to other things you have done? 3) What did you enjoy most about the program? I am really good about what I eat about 90% of the time (around 1500 calories). And I would like to think I have some muscle. Thanks! |

I was 18 when my mom first took me to the gyno, and thats also when I first went on the pill. She wasn't dumb and she knew what was going on, but me and my mom also have a very open and honest relationship. She didn't pay for them, but I have always had a job and never asked her to. If I needed her to I know she would pay for them. I am also a broke college student who pays for almost everything herself. I would suggest going to the local health clinic and seeing if you can get your prescription there, they will often take as much as you can give them. I get mine from am's club for about 9.00 a month. |

| Weight Loss | Could it be my thyroid or other medical issue? | Jul 21 2009 17:37 (UTC) |

Your experience has helped me a lot. I don't think I have a thyroid problem just because I can't loose weight. I also can't seem to stay awake a lot even though I get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I am also always hungry, even just after I eat. I also have been getting a lot of major headahces lately that leave it really hard to concentrate on anything. I also have a lot of digestive issues. Plus, my grandmother has throid problems. I have almost every medical issue she has ever had. We are a lot alike so thats why it wouldn't suprise me either. |

Oh, and that tool posted above told me to eat about 1381 per day. My body fat is 31.6%. The first time I entered it without body fat and it was at 1400 or so. |

i am 5'2 and about 158 depending on the day maybe 160. See even when I was eating 1500 I was having a hard time. But I will up it to 1450 for the next couple weeks and see what happens. |

Yeah I was wondering that too. I will try upping the calories and see how that goes for a while. I think I will still ask my doctor though. Thanks! |

Personally I love the fiber one raisin bran. It tastes exactly like any other raisin bran but is a little better for you. I do love the Kashi brand though. |

I measure everything. I usually use measuring cups instead of a scale though. Or I eat exactly what a serving is on a box of something. I just went to the gym today though and I have lost 11 inches since february so at least some good news. |

Thanks, I had that stuff checked out a couple years ago because my grandma has thyroid problems. Everything was normal then, but it's worth having checked out again. |

I try and vary it up. I spend about an hour and a half in the gym and I alternate days. On half the days I focus on my arms and legs and the other half I focus more on my abs and cardio. I do some form of cardio every workout for 20 minutes, usually an elliptical or treadmil but sometimes a bike. I also take advantage of the pool and swim a few laps as well. I have always had a feeling it was my eating that was the problem. I try and eat a good balace of things. I tend to eat the most when I come home from work about 3pm-6pm. I eat a lot of grains. Crackers are my biggest downfall as well as cheese. Can anyone give me an idea of what they eat? It might help as far as balance goes. Thanks |

I have been going to the gym steadily for about a year now and keeping track of my calories for about a month or two. |

Hey everyone!
Brand new to the site. But I already love, lost 2lbs this week. I'm 21 and ready to actually start living life. I'm so tired of being big, and it would really help to have fellow friends to talk to :) Height: 5'2 Starting weight: 172 Current weight:169 Goal weight: 125 Long way to go, but I am working so hard and being really careful. I am so determined this time. Quick question, anyone have a guy that they live with that has completely different eating habits than you do, how do you cope? Thanks ! |
