| Fitness | stairmaster vs elliptical...which is better? | Jul 03 2009 05:26 (UTC) |

Well, the reason you're more tired on the Stairmaster is that it forces you to move, just like a treadmill. However on the elliptical, your pace is regulated by you only. On the elliptical you also got your arms to help you, while on the stairmaster you do not. And it depends on what kind of stairmaster you're using: is the the kind with actual moving stairs, or the little push pedals? The push pedal one does nothing for your butt or the backs of your thighs, which are most people's problem areas. The one with the real stairs, on the other hand, works out almost your entire lower body. As for the elliptical, it's just as effective, if you work hard on it, instead of barely moving, as most people do. |

:) It's alright, they'll notice eventually. People that see you every day see the very gradual changes, and it doesn't really register. If you talk to someone who only saw you before you started on your weight loss plan, they'd probably notice right away. It's also abuot your attitude. Once you start acting like you're happy with your body, others will see it. |
