Young Calorie Counters How Are You Teens Handling Halloween? Oct 26 2009

i'm going to be gone at a marching band competition all day, so that means fast food and concession (sp?) stand junk... ugh. i'm probably just going to bring a sandwich and some healthy snacks from home so i can eat candy that night after i go trick or treating. :D then i'm going to keep a few pieces and give the rest away at school monday.

i ate sort of bad at the halloween party i went to last night, but i ran a 5k that morning and we played an intense game of hide and seek, so i don't feel too bad. haha.

i feel your pain... AP classes = death, haha.

join the cross country team! i just joined it this year and i love it. :) it's fun and you'll be able to fit it into your schedule because it's got set times and everything.

i also have marching band, though... so i have no free time. ;(

Young Calorie Counters Wow, so I compared my eating habits from this past January to now.. Sep 07 2009

my eating habits are completely different. when i was younger, i would eat 2 mcdonald's cheeseburgers, fries, and an apple pie for lunch. i'd eat double or triple servings of dinner and have really unhealthy junk for snacks. i got breakfast from burger king at least 3 times a week and i practically inhaled soda.

now i never touch fast food, i eat healthy stuff, and i haven't had soda since march. i actually have control over what i eat/don't eat and i feel much better. :)

i only wear my bikini top and board shorts when i'm around my family or super close friends, and only if i know i won't be seeing anyone i know. i've lost fifty-something lbs, and my skin is all stretched out and covered in stretch marks. i suppose i have the shape to wear it, i'm just flabzilla. ahahaha.

i'm always paranoid that the strings will come untied or that i'll accidentally flash someone or something, haha.

don't let the opinions of other people get you down. (i can't believe that your psychiatrist, of all people, would say something. wow.) i know it's easier to say it than to actually do it, but they have no reason to make rude comments. you've lost 20 lbs already, don't give up now just because they're being jerks.

you said that you noticed changes and liked what you saw, and that's what matters. don't let 'em ruin your happiness.

and please don't starve yourself! that will do way more harm than good. you'll feel so much bettter about yourself if you do it the healthy way. eat good foods and exercise a few times a week. the weight will come off, you've just got to be patient.

a few of my "friends" always used to make fun of me for being fat. i usually went home from school in tears. once someone told me that if i ever cut myself, i'd bleed mayonaise. i moved away from that town 3 years ago, and since then i've lost about 75 lbs. i went back there for a visit a couple of months ago, and when they saw me they were speechless. i didn't lose the weight to impress anyone, but seeing the shocked expressions on their faces was awesome, ahaha.

good luck! :)

Young Calorie Counters To what extent are you girls influenced by models? Jun 19 2009
07:42 (UTC)

looking at pictures of models used to make me feel disgusting and ugly... then i realized that most of it is fake... as in the pictures are touched up and their flaws are hidden under makeup. now they don't influence me that much, because i know it's not real. sometimes i wish i could be as pretty/skinny as some of them are, but it passes.

i wear size 5.

finding pants that fit are really hard, because i have no hips or gluteus maximus. ): it'd be nice to have some junk in my trunk.

It was almost as gross as the time I found half of a dead fly in the bottom of a chip bag... Yes, HALF a fly. Oh man. I have bad luck with bugs.

And... Geez, thanks to whoever said the thing about the eggs! I could have a family of roaches inside of me right at this very moment. They could be eating my organs! Or I could be pregnant with roach babies. That should be a horror movie.

People do the same exact thing to me. They always say I'm anorexic and act like I never eat. Um, I definitely eat. I eat in front of 'em every day. If I pass up a candy bar or chips or something they start going at it, saying I need to go to the doctor and stuff. I always whip out my diet talk and tell them my BMI is in the healthy range, and just because I don't want to eat half a day's worth of calories in one sitting doesn't mean I'm anorexic.

Yeesh.

- When people use bad grammar... Like when they mix up too/to, than/then, your/you're, etc.

- Little kids that wear clothes that are way too mature for their age. I hate seeing girls that are probably in 1st or 2nd grade wearing mini skirts and low cut shirts. When I was that age I wore sweat pants and overalls.

- Texting/IMing people that take forever to answer or give one word answers. It's especially annoying when they take like, 10 minutes to answer, and then just say 'yeah' or 'lol' or something. Yell

- People that never shut up in class. Notes that would take 10 minutes end up taking the whole class period because no one ever shuts their dang pie hole.

- Boys that start talking like we're going to get married a week after we start going out. Hellooo, I'm in 10th grade. And besides... I'm going to marry Eric Szmanda. Wink

I have about 2394792374 more, but I don't want to sound like a cranky old woman, so I'm going to shut up now. Laughing

I accept the fact that he's going to think other girls are pretty and stuff, and I don't expect him to never check someone out, but I just wish he wouldn't tell me, ya know? Like, if he thinks my friend is cute, I don't want to know. Ahh! And I don't mind if he calls his friend pretty or something, but gorgeous and amazing? I always considered those to be girlfriend terms. It kind of makes me feel nervous when we're around my friends, because I don't want him to think I'm really ugly/fat compared to them. :S

But I care nothing about stuff he says about celebs, they're whatever.

I love those commercials that make it look like doing something simple is SUCH a huge chore... Like on that one commercial for the fancy scissors where the person like lunges through the paper and rips it in half. Seriously, who cuts like that? And the Snuggie deal, no one gets rabid over using a blanket. Ahahah. They amuse me.
