I am a thiift store junkie. Find a goodwill or any mom and pop thirft store. The mom and pop ones are the best because you can buy jeans for a couple of bucks. Another option is to go to a store and find the jeans you like and size that works for you. write it down. Then go to ebay and buy it. I have saved so much money off of ebay. I mostly buy sirts and dresses off there. If you go to the buy it now and a lot of times you can find stuff for real cheap with really cheap shipping. you just have to look. Peoples auctions who end in the day are god to. Most people bid in the evening time.

Actually..on another note ..I have always wondered this...

 

Do you know how when you weigh more..like when I weighed 180, 150 looked thin. When I weighed 150 then 135 looked then but 150 seemed fat...When I weighed 115 I thought 135 looked fat. the thinner you get you view changes on what is fat....

 

I wonder if guys view it the same way. Like 180 lb guy thinks 140 is thin9not necessarily skinny. Depending on the chicks height of course.

From my experiance

 

I have weighed 115 lbs and attracted tons of guys. It was pretty much a war zone every time I went out. lol...I tended to attract a lot of shallow attractive men though. Most of them just wanted to get me in the sack or wanted to shower me with gifts. You have to see through the bull. Someone posted earlier about having to keep your figure and that is true. A few pounds comes on and you can be last weeks news.

 

I have weighed 180 and I couldn't even get asked out. No guy wanted to be with me.

I currently weigh 130-134 my average weight. I have a a variety still but of normal guys. I am more a approachable and the shallow ones stay away because they are too busy chasing that 24 waist inch chick.

The fourth part of the story is I just hang out with guys anyway. I rarely date because I believe you will just know who you are supposed to be with and it will be mutual. It happened with a guy that met at the end of April. I hung out with im for two months as friends and we really liked each other and were completely compatible. Here is the kicker. I am 31 and he is 51. We have been together for 2 months and have completely fallen for each other.

 

I always say don't go looking and you will find it..

It has to do with your age. I had a fat face until I was about 26/27. My baby fat just wouldn't go away. You probably look a lot younger than what you are. I had a chipmunk face and when I was 21 every one thought I was 16. I am now 31 and everyone thinks I am 22-24. I love it, but hated it when I was in my early 20's.

I am not a morning a person! I will say this though. I used to work out after work and I found it a struggle. I was mentally exhausted and I had to force my way out the door. Plus, working out aftwards interuppted my personal life. If it was a work out night, I wouldn't go out. I started getting up at 5 am and tried that. It works wonders. I am so tired that I am asleep half way through my workout and the weather isn't as noticable. My workout is over before I know it. I did try eating before hand and it only delayed me. It best to just get up and go. Once you are up, you get the mind set of, "Well, I am up and I might as well!" I sleep better at nights now. I go to bed anywhere between 9-11. My work schedule is Tues-Sat. I work out Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri.  I can work out and sleep in on my days off and the days I don't get up early to work out before work, I feel like I am sleeping in. It is awesome.

I found this great work out video from the Crunch people. It is called Crunch superslim down. It really works your thighs, glutes, core and your triceps.  I have tried all kinds of things and always had the cellulite in butt and thighs. This is actually toning it up nicely. My abs are starting to show a bit from it. I never thought that could happen. The best part is that it goes by quickly and it doesn't feel like an extreme work out. You will be a little sore the next day though and the more you do it the more challenging and more of a workout you get from it. It is pilates and yoga mix.  

Plus I drink a gallon of water a day. Wink

I forgot to add. If you have Netflix you can watch it instantly until the end of March. That is where I found it.

One piece of advice I will carry to my grave that I will pass to you. A dear wise friend once said, "You don't have to answer this but ask yourself. Are you happy? Is this how you want to spend the rest of your life?"

I apply this to so many things in life. Just remember, you can't change others but you can change how you feel and how you live.  People who point and laugh tend to live in a box that society has fed them. Don't live in that box. You need to only change what you don't like about your ownself and not what others tell you what they think is wrong with you or what is right. If you listen to them you never will be happy. I know, I tried. Live free and live happy. Always make your own choices.

I feel your pain. The way they make clothes are evil for people with smaller hips. Even at my lowest at 114 I struggled with this. It is either perfect fitting in the front and to big in the back side or to tight in the front and perfect in the back. 

Pick your poison, let's show the undies or let let the muffin hang out.

The only other option is buy a size up as gi-jane suggests and then have the baggie part taylored. We can always skip it and where dresses, skirts, and boots. lol. That is what I do.

Be careful in what you say. I always don't eat the cake or food my boss likes to buy. Then I am told, no matter what I say, that I have an eating disorder pr your just aneroxic. I am also told you are being incredible rude and it is not proper manners to not eat when you are given something. Even if you don't like it your supposed to eat. I am a vegetarian and was recently told if I had a piece of beef put on my plate just take a bit and spit it out later. I confronted my boss about it and her response was " I need to know if you can be trained and no how to act at events" If you don't eat people notice! The sad part is I love everything else about my job, my co workers, and my boss. I just got used to fact of getting quizzed or bashed at every birthday party and special event. It passes until the next time. Your's is every day so eventually they will get sick of asking about it. I know that too, because at lunch I used to get told eating oatmeal and fruit isn't enough for lunch and it isn't healthy when everyone else was eating carl's jr.

 Walden Farms has zero calorie stuff and it is pretty good. They have peanut butter, chocolate syrup, bbq sauce, salad dressings, marshmallow topping, chocolate dip, carmel dip, and pancake syrup. I buy it on occasion if I get a craving for one of the above.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I dropped from 145 to 115. When I hit the 130 mark when I was losing weight my waist was around 30". On my weight gain it is the current 26 or 27. I work out 4-5 times a week. 1hr 5min of jump roping with 30 mins of stretch and about 30 mins of push up, crunches, and kick backs.

When I losing originally I was just jogging and got up to 6 to 7 miles 4 to 5 days a week. I injured my knee and weight started coming back. That is when I picked up the rope and started jumping and all the rest of it.

At my lowest weight I was 115lbs and 5'4" My ratio was 34-25-35. I had a lot of women and my guy roomate tell me I was way too skinny. Some people thought I was aneroxic. I liked it because when I was bloated you couldn't tell. It was extremely hard to maintain. Now I bounce back and forth between 126-130 and  my measurments go back and forthe between 34-26-36(yes I gained fat on my hips) to 34-27-36 on really bad bloat days my waist get close to 29 inches. I still get told how skinny I am and still have the same number of guys hit on me. I am at a happy medium and the only thing that sucks is that I have some really cute vintage hippie clothes that are just a one size too small.

I have the exact same proplem. I hope someone has a way to stop it. I get up several times in the middle of the night and continually eat. I had to have my roomate hide food in his bedroom that was really bad. It still didn't stop me. I found other things to eat and I just ate more of it. I tried sleeping pills and melatonin but I still wake up to do it and if I don't eat I can't go back to sleep. I am not hungry, I just want to eat. Distractions don't work such as reading, puzzle books, computer things, watching T.V., I drove 25 minutes to go for a walk. This was at midnight. I got back and ate more than if I would have just stayed home! If I don't have snack food, then I make my dinner food. It sucks. I have things under complete control all day then it is alll night trance syndrome. It is unstoppable.

I hope someone has a helpful suggestion to stop this bad habit.

I forgot to mention. You will discover veins you never knew you had. For the first 1 mth- mth and half I swear I could feel the blood pumping. I had really poor circulation. It felt like there were bugs crawling inside my veins lol. It goes away. I had a few spider veins and a varicose vein. I swear they were getting worse, but then one day they just almost went away completely. I guess all the annoying itchy bugs were repairs going on. It is quite amazing. I love not being as cold as I used to be.

Well, it was a lot of work. I just kept adding songs and when I was tired I would just hop or dance. Eventually, I could do an hour.  I started out with one song, then two, then 5 etc.. I pushed the limit. What is nice is that songs are different lengths, so I shuffle them.  It keeps a variety. Typically if you count songs then you get time estimate. I count up to 20 songs (which isn't that many) 20 songs sounds like a lot less time then 1 hour. Plus most of the time 1 hour will be over within 16-17 songs and then you can just stop. Mind games I guess.

I made a horrific discover today. I feel really fit and thin, but I got on the scale for the 1st time in a month and I have gained 5 lbs !!! I also added a variety of crunches and bulit up to 30 push ups. I take it is probably muscle weight. My arms and legs are getting really toned. My stomach is slowly getting there.

I have a bum knee from running. I can't run anymore. I picked up jump roping and I wish I would have done it sooner. I use a weighted one and jump rope for an hour. It took a few weeks to build up to it. I can do it inside and don't have to fight the weather or go to a gym.

It also improved my circulation. I don't have cold feet or hands anymore.

Going off it has helped me. I was on two different kinds of the pill and I had insomnia. I would get up and eat a lot of food in the middle of the night. I also had horrible night time cravings. 4 months, after going on it and when my body adjusted, I gained 7 lbs. I craved sugar like crazy. I then switched to a generic brand to save on cost and my eating went through the roof. I gained another 10 lbs. I went off it 2 weeks ago and have lost three lbs and I am no longer eating like crazy. Everyone's body is different and there are many types of birth control. I need to find one myself that will let me sleep at night and keep me from binge eating. It is an awful feeling when you go from 144 to 115 and then to 132. Especially when I was jogging 5 to 7 miles 5 days a week. I switched to jump roping for an hour because of my bad knee. I am back to 129 and looking to get back to 115.

I know that feeling. Since I am apple shape and have small hips, I look like I am pregnant with a little extra weight. Especially when I am bloated. I haven't had kids either. I was a gossiped about at party because everyone thought I was pregnant and had an jerk ex boyfriend that told a mutual friend that when I was bloated he didn't want to be in public with me, because it looked like I was pregnant.

It is really annoying because you can't where some of the cool waist belts and your friends that are the same height with bigger hips can eat and weigh more than you and have a flat stomach.

I am 5'4" 122 and wear anywhere from size 4 to 7, depending on the brand. I actually have two pair of jeans that are a size 9 and the fit like a size 4 in other brands.

If your talking about vintage clothes (pre 1980) a size 4 would be more like a size 10-12. In the 80's I believe a size 4 was more like a size 7 or 8.

Current sizes usually depend on junior, miss, and womens. Womens clothing size numbers tend to be smaller that junior or miss. A size 8 in Juniors could be a size 6 in womens.

The best way to gauge clothing size is if a size you are wearing is getting tight or loose. Go for what looks good on you and not the number. Otherwise you could be sporting some unflattering fashion for your body.

I am going through the exact same thing. I weighed 115 lbs last Aug/Sept but gained weght trying to eat more calories(1700) and maintain were I was. I now get stuck between 123-126 and I hate it. I am 5'4" myself and I went from having almost a flat stomach late last year to having a gut. Some of the clothes that looked great on me now make me look poochy. It seems like no matter what I do I can't shake the weight. If I up my calories I gain(1500-1600)  if eat low calories (1200) I maintain. Ugh. I run 5 miles 4 to 5 days a week but I am a desk jockey. Even though I am in healthy weight range, it doesn't look right since I have small hips.

its so hard to stay positive when you have people (family or friends) just criticizing your every move!  for them its just a piece of food but for me its a long time of struggling w/ my weight problem and  i dont see the problem in nicely declining an offer!!

I know the feeling. I remember weighing 180 lbs when I was 18. I decided to make a change in my life and lost 50 lbs. Everyone in my family is 200 plus and kept telling me I was too skinny and that I didn't need to eat healthy anymore and stop excercising because I was too skinny. I am 5' 4" female. The worst part was when I went to a family reunion and packed a lunch because the only thing that was their was fried chicken and lots of pies. No fruit or veg. When I didn't eat thier food my cousin remarked "What's your problem? Are you too good to eat with the rest of us." I was really hurt by that comment.  I did gain 20 lbs down the road while I was in a unhappy marriage for 3 years. I am now 30 years old and bounce back and forth between 120 and 125.  I live in a different state but deal with the same stupidity from my co workers who are all over weight. My boss offered me a cookie and I nicely declined. Her response was "What are you worried you will gain a lb? A cookie won't hurt you" It was one of those cookies were it was 150 calories and 8 grams of fat mostly saturated.

People who chose to eat poorly and are overweight fail to accept the fact those who care about their eating habits work hard to be where they are weight wise. We weigh what we weigh because we eat what we eat.

I dropped from 142 to 115 in 4 months the old fashioned way diet and excersice. I maintained from August to End of Jan 08. Then by RMR calculator suggestions I thought I wasn't eating enough and tried to maintain and gained 10 lbs in a little over a month and then couldn't lose it. Tried the old fashioned way and it wasn't coming off. I tried Rapidslim SX and lost 5lbs in a 1 1/2 weeks. I switched to Lipo-6 because I wanted to try it and all it did was give me gas and I gained the 5lbs back because I was hungry all the time on it. Switched back to Rapidslim Sx last Weds and lost 3lbs.  The good thing about Rapidslim is it curves my cravings and doesn't make me bloated. I don't have any sideeffects with it and am able to sleep at night. Which I had a hard time sleeping on Lipo-6. You need to make sure your eating right and eating enough. You have to excercise. I run 5 to 7 miles 4 to 5 times a week. Figure out what works for you. Don't plan on making diet pills a long term thing. I started up on some to kick the stubborn plateau.

 

Warning if you ever have any worrisome side effects stop taking right away. About 4 years ago I was taking stackers 3 not for weight loss but for energy. I worked door to door sales. I had to be at the office by 9 and wouldn't get home because of travel most nights until 2 am. I ended up in the emergency room from overdosing on caffiene. I also became unintentionally aneroxic. I couldn't eat because they made me sick when I did eat.

If your not hungry in the morning, it means you ate too much the night before. This also causes a bad cycle. You don't eat breakfast and it makes you eat more later making you not hungry the following morning. It will repeat until you eat less in the evening and eat something for breakfast.

I love cereal and have an addiction to it. My cabinet has about 20 kinds in there right now. I love to mix them. I do try stick with high fiber and protien cereals that have a serving is 1 cup or 1 1/4 cups with 200 calories max per serving. I then take four 1/4 cups of different kinds and mix them. Throw in some freeze died strawberries and add 1/2 cup of light soy milk. You have one yummy breakfast. sometimes I buy sugary stuff and do a pinch for sprinkle. My breakfast totals anywhere between 250-300.

Though I am a little worried now on the cereal settles thing and cup isn't what it used to be.
