Handle this one with care. I had something happen to a friend of mine very simmarly to this. Her best friends husband called her husband and got him convinced they were sleeping together. It ultimatly ended both marrages. If you haven't told your husband already, tell him. A pre-emptive strike in situations like this help. And the next time her husband says anything to you. Say to him, "No, but I bet if I were you would want to watch and thats why your asking." Hes either going to get so flustered he never says anything to you again, or admit it. Just make sure your friend knows what you are up to. If you can get it done through an email or text where she can read it, even better.

Unless something drastic happens this week, it doesn't look like Im going to meet my goal. Its been raining to much here which prevents a lot of my exercise routine. Ive been trying to do the couch to 5 k running program but, with my arthritis I can't run in the rain. It was beautiful yesterday, but hubby was home so I didn't go running. Today its cloudy and threatening to rain again. If I can get out there and run, I might be able to lose the weight. Otherwise, Im pretty well screwed.

Corsetting is a fairly common form of body modification. It really isn't any different than tattooing, piercings or scarification of the body. No your organs do not make you look like you have a beer gut when you take it off. And no she doesn't wear it 24 hours a day. They are uncomfortable to sleep in and slightly dangerous. She most likely removes it at night to bath, then bathes again in the morning before putting it back on. That kind of Corsetting requires diligent care of the skin. The skin can become extreamly thin and tear if you aren't extreamly careful. So you have to bath at least once if not twice a day along with the proper moisterizers and make sure that you have the right level of fabric between you and the corset. In the circles I move in, that kind of thing is very common. Its something I find facinating. I have a corset myself. Not that, I wear it all the time or look like that, but I wouldn't be opposed to it once I get back down to 130 lbs. It would probably be the only way I could get my 20 inch waist back. For all of you who think that is gross, just remember, it might not be a way of life for every woman today, but before the invention of the Bra, every woman looked like that to a certain extent. No it doesn't require you remove any ribs. Prolonged wear deforms the rib cage expecially if you start when your a teenager and your bones are still growing. Some men find it to be a huge turn on. Others don't like it. To each his own. Everyone has their own issues. I personally prefer a corset over a bra. Bra's make my back and shoulders ache. The Corset provides support without pulling on my shoulders and helps keep my back in line without me having to be in a back brace designed for people with scoliosis. There are many different types. There are the working corsets that allow a bit of give for bending and streching that the household maids once did, then there are the more restricting versions that the upper crust of society once couldn't leave the house without. Those you have to bend at the knees not at the waist. They can take some getting use to. But, millions of women lived that way for a very long time. Its not really all that big a deal if some still choose to live that way. Like I said to each his own. (Steps off my soap box and walks away from the thread wondering why it is the very people who hate being judged for the way they look, act or what they eat, spend so much time judging people for the way they look, act or what they eat.)

Original Post by pgeorgian: Why defensive? Im not defensive, Im pissed. The man made a mistake. He isn't a God. He isn't perfect. He never was. He never claimed to be. When he said what he said about Clinton, he was in a different place in his life. This is the truth. Power corrupts. Absoulte power corrupts absolutely. That hasn't changed. We expect our leaders to be some guru's of perfection when in truth they are no different than your next door neighbor, your preacher, or the homeless guy living three streets over that has so lost his mind, he doesn't realize hes playing with himself in public. They are all men and they are all human. If you worried more about your own life and less about what was going on in other people's bedrooms you would be much happier. Alleyway, if I was to take a guess, I would say she was playing into the sterotypical idea that we southerners are stupid and don't know better than to sleep with our cousins.

Oh please like all of you have never done anything you were ashamed of. It wasn't an affair. It was pretty much a one night stand. He told his wife about it pretty much as soon as it happened. He never kept it a secret from her. He made a mistake get over it. It happens. As to why he is coming clean now. Its because the tabloids harassed the woman he slept with and the father of her baby who was one of his former aids. They were having problems with money so he loaned some to them. Tthe press got ahold of the information and were trying to make it look like the baby was his and he was paying them to say differently. He didn't want that story to come out, because even after a paterinty tests proves hes not the father, people won't believe it. He slept with her in 2006. Even if it had been on December 31, there is no way the baby is his. So they were just using it to make a case to make him look stupid because the press can't stay out of peoples bedrooms. As to the rest of you judgemental jerks. I don't care if you like his politics or not. This is a man who lost his first born son to a car accident, then his wife developed cancer and now shes got it again. The affair happened before the second cancer diagnosis. I repeat it happened before she found out she had cancer. She knew about the affair before she found out about the cancer. She even says that the cancer helped her forgive him. So unless you have all the facts, shut up and stop judging people. I bet all of you who are judging him, have some kind of bad thing in your closet you don't want the whole world to know about. Doesn't your bible say judge not lest yea be judged. So much for what would Jesus do huh.

Its not your place to convince anyone of anything. By interfering in other peoples lives, you are ultimatly no better than the bible thumping door knockers that come around here trying to save my soul because rumor has it that I am am GASP the "local witch". They know I am too because all the churches talked to each other and I don't go to church in this county, so I must not go to church at all, therefore the rumor mill must be right. I am a witch. Its none of your business if I eat meat or not. Its none of your business where I get it. I don't care if you think their slaughering methods are humane or not. Truth is, you are the same people who hate hunters and think its better to let an animal die of starvation than it is to let hunters kill them. I find that way of thinking very backward. Oh we can't hurt the poor stupid cow, you have to find a nice way to kill it. But, you can't go hunt your own food either, starvation is more humane for wild animals. My only answer to that, is do your research. Plants have feelings too. I think picking a cucumber is completely cruel. After all its a seed pod of a plant. You are eating its future children. And that plant, protects itself by communicating down its long vines. If one part is attacked by bugs, it can tell the rest of it so that it increases its defences to better protect itself. But, its not wrong to eat a cucumber. They after all arn't cute and cuddly. This is the whole point of it all. Death is never pretty be it of natural causes or a slaughter house. Time you get use to that. Because its going to be a constant in everyones lives until the end of time. And its time to realize that everything has its perspective. I enjoying protecting plants. My view is eat the animals so their are fewer of them here releasing all that bad gas and leave the plants so that there are more of them to release good gas and absorbe the bad. But, thats just my view. So I think you should start eating meat. How does it feel? Not to pleasant huh. Yeah I agree. You don't try to change me. I won't try to change you.

Sarahjo36 is correct. You can use a lot less honey than you do sugar. I typically replace 1 cup of sugar with 2 tbsp's Honey. But some people prefer 1/2 cup honey for 1 cup sugar or even equal cup for cup |

What can I say, I guess Im the weird one. I like CSI Mami better really. I love Sara and Grissom. I thought they played off each other well. I hate Eckley he nearly killed it for me. I love Caruso. I love the character he plays. I can't help it. I like strong dominant men. I like men, who are kind to children, like to play hero for the woman thats needing help, and can hold things together despite or regardless of the conflict. I was upset when they wrote his sister in law character off the show. I loved the M.E. She was kind and compassionate. She managed to stay human in the face of all that death. I liked that about her. I love Callie. As a southern bell myself, I can say with all certainty that she is perfect. I love cold case. I love the main female detective. Shes as sharp as a tack and can handle herself in any situation without being obnoxious or nurotic. The Closer is an Okay show but all she is, is a female Monk. One more insane female who can't make up her flippin mind. My husband hates the show. I can't watch it when hes home. As for Saving Grace, the whole premise is offensive to me. Yeah, they will put on crap about some angel trying to help some female cop save her self. But, when they get a show like Charmed or The Others, that show the other point of view, they either cancel it without giving it a chance or turn it into something so ridiculous that no one would ever believe it could possibly be true. Charmed eventually became nothing more than a bastardized version of Christan views twisted to seem pagan. It was really pathetic. I like CSI Miami simply because its one show where you can have a good story line with good characters and no one in a major roll is completely insane. There is something to be said for normal.

| The Lounge | Marriage. | Aug 07 2008 16:11 (UTC) |

We met August 24th 1989 and Got married July 20th 1991. I met him the first day of school my Jr. Year. I was the new girl in town. I went from living in a farming community of 1500 people where I was severely bullied because as the principle put it. "I was to pretty for my own good." to a town where there were 30,000 people and you expected Wally and the Beave to walk out every door. I spent two years in hell to move to what felt like Paradise. And I was scared. I had gained 30 lbs, wasn't wearing any make up and was wearing a dress 2 sizes to big that I had made myself <shudders> I am not a seamstress. I was trying to avoid being noticed by the male school population. My locker partner offered to let me eat lunch with her so we went down to the lunch room together. She sat down at a table full of football players and I nearly freaked. I had to fight hard not to have a panic attack. When I asked her about it, she said, "Yeah thought we could eat lunch with my brother today." So I sat there with my half a tuna sandwich that had been in my purse all day, hoping that no one looked at me or noticed me. I hadn't gotten use to the bigger school or the Leave it to Beaver community yet. When Bear came through the door, I knew it was her brother. As the door swung open the whole room started to spin, and my first thought was Oh Gods not him not now. Don't do this to me. He walked over and sat down across from me. I couldn't look at him. Everytime I looked up the room swam. He asked me if that was all I had to eat. I nodded. He asked if I at least had money for a soda from the machine. I shook my head no. He got up got me a soda and brought it back to me. I kept stairing at the table. I answered all of his questions, but I wouldn't look at him. He finally reached across the table, put a finger under my chin and made me look at him. I found with eye contact the room didn't spin quite as bad. Then he said something unexpected. "Who was it that killed your favorite cat? Tell me where they are and Ill go beat them up for you." I told him no one had. So he wanted to know what made me so sad. I couldn't tell him. Not then anyway. I had three classes left for the day and he walked me to all of them. Then he walked me to the bus and told me everyone met in the cafeteria before class and to meet him there the next day. My dad brought me to school the next day and he was sitting on the front steps waiting on me. He was afraid I would chicken out and wait in the hall beside my first class again. I was still scared. I told him I had a boyfriend back home. He said great, Im everyones big brother. I said, I can walk myself to class. He said, not without becoming black and blue walking through the football players hall. Your so tiny they would never see you. All the Sr. football players had their lockers on the same floor in the same area. He was always right there when I walked out a classroom door. He just kept saying, we have to find a way to get that half drowned kitten look off your face. We have been married now for 17 years. But, we will celebrate our 19th anniversary of meeting this year. We do both. As far as he is concerned. We got married the day he met me. He remembers the august date every year. He might forget what day the wedding actually was on. But, he never misses the anniversary of the day we met.

| Foods | is bread THAT bad? | Aug 07 2008 00:35 (UTC) |

I refuse to believe bread is bad for you. My great grandfather went through a half a loaf of white bread a day by himself. He lived to be a month shy of his 102 birthday. The only reason he didn't live longer was my great grandmother died and he didn't want to. He contracted a mild case of Phenmonia. The doctor said he would be fine in a few days. He on the other hand told his sons, that he had out lived his Identical twin brother, and his wife and he didn't really want to stick around anymore. Five minutes later he was dead. He lived as long as he wanted to. The half a loaf of bread didn't hurt him none. The man never weighed an ounce over what he was suppose to despite all that bread. Or maybe because of it.

Well my kids aren't going back to school LOL But things are changing around here as well. We are in the process of trying to get a car loan which has been like pulling teeth. Ive changed up the younger three's reading program in hopes that something else will help them improve. My 9 year old is dyslexic and still reads about as well as my 6 and 7 year old. Nothing we have done seems to help. But, everyone tells me that with dyslexic children it usually gets better around 9. Something clicks so we are giving it a shot. Other than that nothing much is going on. My days are pretty bland. I have finally broken the 184 lb barrer. I was down to 183.8 this morning.

| The Lounge | Grissom's Replacement on CSI | Aug 06 2008 22:13 (UTC) |

I never saw it as a superman pose. My grandfather always stood like that when he was thinking. Though I must admit that Caruso is a much better looking man than my grandfather. But, still I love the character he plays and the way he stands takes nothing away from it for me. Though I will be the first to admit that he would be easier to replace than Grissom will be. See, I could see replacing Caruso with Laurance. I could easily see replacing the guy in CSI NY with Kurt. Kurt does the whole new yorker thing so well. And Laurance does the intellegent gun slinger very well. But, Grissom is neither of those. Hes to smart for that. Which brings me back to John. Sensitive, but intellegent, quirky and occasionally annoying, but not so bad you can't easily over look the quirkiness. Thats Grissom to a T. I know he will be missed, but if he does stick around as a producer then there will still be enough of Grissom in the show that John could step in without there being much of a glitch. But, then again, I kind of stopped watching. I do still watch but I have to leave the room to keep from screaming. Ever since they promoted Echelly (sp) I have had serious issues watching it when he comes on screen. Hes beyond annoying. That conflict for me nearly killed the show. So I guess really who they pick all depends on if they want that conflict to continue. It would be easy to keep it going with Kurt or Laurance. They could probably still do it with John. But, if John is so naturally soft spoken, it wouldn't be as believable.

Your going to puncture a lung with a rib one of these days. he wants me to have a breast reduction surgery done or put me in one of those stupid back brace things. I'm thinking, Oh yeah sure uh huh, fat girl in that corsett you recommended I wear is bad enough. Fat girl in canvas with steal rods is even worse. If I lose the weight and I lose enough in my boobs, I won't have to have surgery or the back brace. Oh and Ill look really good in that Corsett. LOL Im also doing it in hopes of teaching my 7 almost 8 year old daughter that has a weight problem what she should and shouldn't eat. I haven't put her on a diet persay. We are just trying to exercise more and keep her from gaining any weight. She will grow into the weight she is if we do. But, there has to be an example for her somewhere and Im it.

I understand how you feel. I do. After my oldest daughter was born, My father in law, looked right at me and said, "Hey you do make a good brood mare. You make beautiful babies and after their born, you go back to being as beautiful as ever." I picked up the diper bag and the baby carrier, looked at my husband and said, "Ill be in the car waiting till your ready to go home. Im nobodies brood mare." I was always patted on the head and sent off to play. I put a stop to it. I would stand around just listening to them talking and wait for them to make a mistake with some little tidbit I knew was wrong and could prove then I would tell them they were wrong. After they admited they made a mistake, I would say maybe you will remember that the next time you want to see me as just another pretty face instead of engaging me in a conversation. Lucky for me, hubby thought it was cute. Unfortunatly it won't work for everyone. But, if your boyfriend isn't doing saying something to these people, then maybe you need a new boyfriend.

Oh no you don't know sadistic. Im married to a highly competitive sadistic man. He taunts me the entire time we are working out. Hes forever saying, this is nothing compared to what we did in football. By the time the workout is over, I want to scream, "so what if you can still dead lift over 200 lbs, so what if you can still leg press nearly a thousand. Let me see you get out there with that spare tire around your waist and do belly flops like you use to." The one time I broke down and said it, He did, then laughed all the way home. As to sex after lifting weights, works for him not for me. Hes all sticky and sweaty and I hate sticky and sweaty. As to sex in general. My man has never had a problem with sex. Talking about it, doing it, watching it. Never bothered him. In fact at 18, he managed to get me to have sex on a picnic table at the city park in broad daylight. Turns out the parking lot we were close to was the one all the men with wives who hated them looking at playboy went on their lunch breaks to look at playboy on its monthly release day. What day did he pick to talk me into doing that? The new playboy is out today day. There was like 2 cars in the parking lot when we started one being ours. By the time we were done there were 20. He had no problems letting me know that no one was looking at their playboy that day. Lucky for me we moved shortly there after.

Okay, Chicken Breasts- Wrap them up with your favorite veggies in Alluminum foil. Sprinkle them with your favorite spices. I would use garlic, onion and Oregano. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to an hour. I would check them at 30 though. Just unwrap one and peirce the meat. If it comes out clear and the veggies look done, then its done. Otherwise wrap it up and put it back in the oven for a bit. Tuna Steaks, you can do the same way, or if you have an indoor grill, you can cook them on it. Just add abit of salt and pepper for flavor. Salmon is the same way as the Tuna depending on how thick the fish is, it could take longer or shorter time than the Chicken. With the lean steak. I personally would use a slow cooker if you have one I would throw in some onions and peppers and about a cup of beef broth set it on high and leave it alone till supper.

I met mine at the local highschool but I was 16 at the time. Now, I would enroll in a class at the community college, join a book club, or even hang out at the library. Guys go to clubs for one night stands and to get drunk. They only dance because they think the girls want to. You know check your local library. Mine is doing a thing in August on Edible wild mushrooms. There will be a lot of science type people there for that. You might want to see if your library has any kinds of club or class things going on like that.
