Your given the following ingredients what do you prepare or eat with them: 1. Brown Rice -chicken and broccoli 2. A bowl of spring mix - ranch dressing and croutons 3. Peanut butter - Peanut butter toast =] (favorite breakfast everrrrrr) 4. Hummus - Never had it 5. Sliced Apples - maybe PB, or maybe just them alone 6. Whole wheat bread - turkey or salomi sandwich 7. Plain Yogurt - granola (vanilla or peak protein), strawberries or bananas 8. I feel like its just too soon. The weight although vey much needed still hasnt distributed. It's only been about a week since my dramatic increase in calories and so its all settled in my tummy and even if it is just water weight, I don't want people to see me. My bones definitely don't stick out any more...its just embarassing its pretty much just fat too because I havent gone to the gym in ages and have no muscle. I was just getting used to not having to wear a jackets to cover up and stay warm, but a bathing suit is too much. ugh I wish I didnt care what other people think, but truth of the matter is I do. I just want to look normal or feel normal. |

I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and ate the ntire 12 inch thing...foccacia bead and allllll ahhhhh 3.) then i came home and ate a giant chocolate chip cookie that my little baked me and i dont even know the caloie content and its sorta killing meeeeeee, but ill live! |

yea Im unsure if it was lowfat or full-fat, so i guess id assume full. I wouldnt know the difference all I know is looks can be deceiving because the yogurt part wasnt very good lol. |

hey guys, so i actually just got back from doing an internship at Disney and they do allow food in the park, but just to let you know they do actually have some healthy options. You can always sub apples or grapes for the fries. They sell yoplait yogurt at most places as well. The entrees can include grilled chicken, or I have even gotten a veggie wrap with hummus and everything. They have salads everywhere and most of the stores sell trail mix and healthy snacks like nuts and dried fruit. |

Yes, Im having the exact same problem, I'm finally hitting over 2,000, but it is primarily due to ice cream, chocolate, and cake. I just can't stop with all the junk. My thoughts are just to have one serving, but then I can't help going back for more. Im trying not to worry myself too much cause i know binges are "normal" during weight gain and my body needs it, but Im starting to get scared that im headed down a dark road. I also have a stupid question to add, does it make a difference in the weight gain? I've read many a post saying the weight will redistribute, but it is all stubbornly staying around my stomach area and that makes me extra nervous. I was always extremely heavy in the stomach area pre-ed and I dont want to go right back to how I was because that is what lead me to want to lose weight in the first place. Seeing the fat sitting there covering what were my nice firm abs is pretty triggering. I went from a nice flat stomach to blahhh grossness. I just wish i could gain weight in my shoulders and butt and be done with this crap and keep my stomach how it is...or was. |

so...im back!! haha its just way too hard to keep up here. I just wanted to come on here and boast about how amazing you all are because you have helped me to finally make it over my hump. I have been seriously trying to increase my cals b/c i had increased to 2000 and then basically relapsed and was stuck at around 1000-1200 and couldn't get myself to take any more than that or tried to increase my walking speed/distance to make up for any extra eating. For the past 3 days now I have had around 2000-2500 maybe even more and I feel great!! yes I admit not the healthiest choices and I do feel a bit guilty, but I feel like im finally starting to get somewhere. But point is after reading some of the posts something hit me and I know i just need to stop listening and stop giving in and just get this weight gain over with already. Thanks to everyone for basically making me realize that there needs to be more to life than just stressing over what to eat or how much i just binged. Truth is it doesn't matter, personality should be what counts not how fat or skinny i am. I have to love myself and i cant when im too busy obsessing about food. sorry just needed to put that out there.

yes yes yes, all the time. We need to learn to listen to our bodies though and not watch those around us because of course we all have different matabolisms and we all eat differently. You never know they could have just eaten before you saw them or maybe they had a huge breakfast and are therefore having a smaller lunch. Ya never know, but I def know what you mean!! The ED does it to us all. |

ugh i feel in such a rut. Its like it's all or nothing. I feel fat and super guiltyall the time now. I either eat barely anything or binge like crazy even when Im not hungry. I open a bag of walnuts and they're gone, same with the chips. I take a handful and put them away and then in five minutes I can help but go back into he cabinet. Its like som kind of oral fixation, need to have some kind of solid or liquid in my mouth at all times. What's with this?!I also do the swerve thing where at times i stuff my face cause i need to gain and then that vicious cycle of OMG what did I just do, why did I do that? Aqua- I know how you feel. I like to flirt a lot, but when it comes togetting close im horrified. I think its just because im really unhappy with my body right now. Maybe with theweight gain things will get better. Good job not purging by the way!! Haa i love breakfast, its my fave meal. You can totally eat it any time of the day |

ahhh im so lost and so behind...sorry guys I haven't posted in awhile, but I can't keep up!! lol. So busy being a Disney employee :/. Just want to congratulate you all for having come so far. You all seem to be doing so well attending social gatherings, upping cals, eating full fat items, and eating on and off fixed schedules. You are all so inspirational!! I myself have been making some progress very slowly, but I am sooo unhappy. I absolutely hate my stomach and I know it will probably ventually even out, but I cant get past the appearance of it, its huge compared to the rest of me. I just want my arms and legs to look normal again and be able to eat whatever I want without fear. I want to be like my friends and be able to eat that slice of chocolate cake even if it's three in the morning. WHY IS THIS SOOOOOOO DIFFICULT?!! Im trying as hard as I possibly can to inore the thoughts and just keep eating, but it's way harder than I thought. I mean milkshakes are so damn good, butI just feel too guilty to go through with ordering them. I know what I am missing, but I cant seem to get past it. ugh im so frustrated right nowwwww |

wow, this place is a mad house I cannot keep up lol..just need to vent real quickly so here goes (I will definitely try to read all of te posts and reply a soon as I can) I am officially addicted to peanut butter I cannot control the urge to just eat it right out of the jar and I feel so guilty for doing it even though I know I need to gain weight. I tell myselfi will just have one or two spoonfuls, but it never stops there. Im not even hungry when I do it, its just so damn good!! Then after I feel the need to restrict myself. Any advice?! ughh I feel like such a flat schlubb. Sorry just needed to tell someone maybe when i read this over later ill realize how stupid im being and get over it, but until then any advice is greatly appreciated Oh and hello to all of the newbies that have just become active on these here boards lol.

arghh what is wrong with me?! I don't sleep anymore (at most 3.5 hrs a night) & i keep aking up at weird times really really hungry. I wake up and bunge on trail mix and basically finish the entire bag (4 servings worth!!) Mind you I am never hungry at all during the day (I force myself to eat enough calories anyway though) why is this eating extra coming back to haunt me?! I guess I just chalk it up to a bad/stressful week. It seems to be wreaking havoc on all board members lately lol. & now for comments, sorry its been so long! Im pages and pages behind now gibbit- Im glad you guys had a great time at the facial and lunch i think it is awesome that you are so close with your mom. I wish I had that special bond with my mother, but unfortunately she doesn't really understand me & I don't think we will ver get to be that close (don't get me wrong we get along great and I love her dearly, but its just hard for her to see what Im going through) GLad you enjoyed the BBQ as well (no counting is fun right?!) ...oh and sorry about the cat poop, although your story did bring a little chuckle to my day (probably not yours though as you are the one who has to clean it up) Agru- I know how you feel. I hate eating when I dislike the food and all I think about is yeah this may be healthy, but my chocolate at home tastes WAYY better and is less calories. Xmas- Im going through a rough patch as well, its def. okay to let your feelings show, maybe it will help you as you progress and you seem to be doing okay, just take it one step and one day at a time. You can do it! THeo- try not to think about the number of calories and concentrate on getting yourself healthy. Please feel better, you are a beautiful young lady & you deserve to be happy!! toast- thanks for the snacking tips, snack jar sounds like a great idea. I just have a hard time limiting myself to specific portions as I can't tell when I am hungry or not. Charliebo- I kno whatcha mean, if my bones aren't protruding out from my neck and shoulders I feel ginormous! STUPID ED, don't listen to it! Alysha- as gibbit has mentioned pay no mind to your ex, he seems to have problems of his own. You are by far a stronger person now and should not have to put up with that. fhchicky- mmm mint is my fave as well...sounds like you are on the right track with your eating SLR- yup, have totally been there...every single day after every single meal. When Im feeling bloated and fat I ask myself that very question. Eventually as im told this eating/gaining with eventually lead to a healthier and happier lifestyle & I am choosing to believe that the recovered members who have been saying this are correct. try not to compare yourself to others as we all gro and develop differently and have vast differences in our metabolisms. wow, what a day...what a week!! so busy and no time to even think about food! [finally!-although prob. not so good as I have probably been eating less due to the stress and hecticness] Been working nonstop at Disney & because I am a rol hopper I still have three more jobs to train for over the next two weeks (work all week & only train on weekends). Seems like we are all in the same boat metabolism wise...mine is messed up as well and I know it seems like it will never get any better, but trust me guys it will. We have all come such a long way, so just keep it up! Ilovechai- ooh I have been craving salomi, what kind do you get? so on a random note I have been craving peanut butter as well, but I only like skippy extra chunky, why do they not sell it anywhere in Florida?! am I crazy, I thought this was a popular brand?! lol Relena- good for you, I am so glad you are realizing that you need to repair your body. You are a beautiful young lady, don't listen to what others think of your diet b/c you should be doing this for yourself. Maybe you should consider telling your family that it hurts your feelings when they talk about your weight in a negative way as Im sure they don't even realize that what they are saying has any effect. I know my parents talk to my sisters and my gandma all of the time about my weight and they just don't seem to have a clue that it is actually making it ten times harder and almost makes me feel like I just don't want to/shouldn't gain. Aussie- Cheer up hun! College is great, don't even worry. I was exactly like you when I started I even had to do it twice (transfered from University of Delaware to Northeastern University). I am one of those shy girls as well and I take a lot of time to warm up to people and I made friends. If I can do it, so can you! Just remember that you are all on the same level as all of the other new students and they are probably feeling just as scared or nervous as you are. Most people are coming in trying to make friends, so they're all going to be very nice and friendly. Don't even give it another thoght as your confidence will grow and you will def. make friendships that will prob last a lifetime. Try to get involved (I am completely not a sorority girl type, but I decided to step out of my element and joined as sorority. I'm not saying you should do that, but maybe you could join a club or I know at my school they offer a yoga class and taking that I met many people my age). Sorry I have no advice on the calorie portion of your text, but I am at a loss myself. Just keep upping I guess, they say the faster you get it over with the better right? Aqua- haha I could just see the whole lot of us in a restaurant. Peanut butter, peanut butter, and more peanut butter. Wow I feel like it has been forever since I last posted. I missed it here :(. I finally started work and its been rather difficult trying to fit in all my calories. I like some of you am having trouble making myself eat high calorie meals im so used to six small 200-300 calorie snacks and I now just don't have time for that anymore. I need to get over these absurd fears and live my life!! psycho- Sorry to hear you're so ill. My mom used to make me drink coke or ginger ale when I felt sick... dk, but maybe that will work for you. Agruskin- I'm sure the interview went even better than you think. Our minds are playing tricks on us and esp when you are nervous you tend to think you did worse than you did. As long as you gave it your best shot that is all that matters and if they don't higher you it is their loss. It may even work out to your benefit and you end up finding a job you love even more. That is actually hat happened to me. I applied for a job at a advertising and publicity agency and then I didn't get the job I ended up applying for this Disney Internship and it was one of the best decisions ever. Granted I'm not getting paid much, but I am having the best time here getting to go to the parks all the time (when it isn't raining due to Fay). I just found out that the advertising job was unpaid and they were only accepting two Northeastern students, so I guess I actually lucked out! I know about the whole schedule thing. Lunch is always my biggest problem. I have to plan it exact, so that it's not to close to breakfast or dinner. I freak out if I don't hav anything in me b/w 12-1:30. weird I know! haha. As far as the bathroom probs., Im sure it's nothing to worry about. Just eat as you have been and your body will work it's way through it. relena- PLEASE keep posting. I am very interested to hear what you have to say and I just ish the best for you as we all really want you to succeed and recover. It is a very scary time, I am in the exact same place as you. It is important though that even though you may be scared you need to try to get as many cals as you can in there esp. if you continue dancing. It sounds insane that they want you to lose more weight as you look very tiny in your profile pics. aqua- I 100%. I don't really get happy to lose weight, just maintaining where I am now. Gaining on the otherhand, I know I need to, but when I see the numbers rising it almost makes me feel out of control. Like I'll eat so much it will all go right to my stomach and I will kepp gaining and never stop. stupid ED, when will it go away?!?! aussie- Good job going out of your element and helping your mom to celebrate her birthday! Finally in Florida & finally have access to the internet...wow it's gonna take me forever to catch up, ya miss so much being gone for a week and a half lol. sounds like everything is going swimmingly. Not so much for me, feeling a bit discouraged as I haven't been able to count and am probably eating way under my calorie alotment. :( So excited though they're having a welcoming party and for once in my life Im ctually not too worried. Yes there's going to be pizza and soda, but I have eaten so healthily that I think I will allow myself a treat of a slice or two. You guys are so inspirational...just want to thank you all!!

haha I love how I said I wasn't going to be able to write for awhile...Im back though...this place is highly addicting maybe more so than the actual calorie counting as I love hearing what you all have to say! lol. Fage...hmm I know I see it in everyone's food logs, but I've never tried it. Is there only plain or strawberry or are there other flavors as well. Ive just been going for the yoplait. I know its horrible of me, but I love the new light flavors esp Apple turnover. Maybe I'll pick some up when I go to the grocery store later on. Wow butterfly that still kinds of seems like a lot of exercise...super fun though!! Just make sure you eat back what you burn! Psychoj- That's amazing you're so lucky that you are practically done! I can't wait to get to that point. You are such an inspiration! Agru- Hope you enjoy that Greek food!! Double burger sounds so good! I'm thinking of finally splurging tonight and going for a chicken quesadilla from taco bell or a burger king veggie burger! THe broccoli and cheese thing souns delish, although Im not really a big fan of cheese (seriously scarred for life when walking through what I consider the smelliest aisle in the grocery store lol, just kidding). What kind of B&J...do they have all flavors...have yet to try cheery garcia, but it'd be the perfect xcuse to get some if it comes in a small container, so if I dislike it, which I pretty much doubt will happen, I don't have to worry about wasting. Yes, I force myself to eat as well even when Im not hungry and even then I seem to have a hard time managing to squeeze in enough cals. I find that having one little nibble tends to lead me to being very hungry about 15 mins. later though (weird right?). Eggs, oh yes I had a tough time conquering them as well, but you managed to surpass your fears of pancakes and eggs are wayyy more beneficial. BTW, You guys are so right, enough is enough! I need to seriously stop worrying about numbers (both cals and scales) and just live my life. I totally agree angeleyes, I was looking through old pics and I looked a lot better when I had some weight on my bones, why couldn't I just appreciate it when I had the chance?! and same with the whole wishing to be super skinny so I could eat whatever I wanted...not much of a priviledge if you ask me. Well Im of to florida tomorrow with the fam and then next week I start my internship, so you might not hear from me for awhile, but I wish you all the best of luck...just keep at it and eventually you will meet your goals!

hey gohealthygirl...First off it's good to see a fellow member of CC trying to get back on the right track. I'm probably not going to be much help, but I just wanted to comment that you are not alone. I am currently the same height and weight as you and strugglng to make it to atleast 90 lbs as well. Athough for my age (20) it says im supposed to be atleast 94 for a healthy BMI. I went through the same exact thing of being slightly chubby and wanting to start a healthy new lifestyle...as we can all tell that backfired (obsessive overexersize). You seem to be on the right track with the healthy fats and such, but I would reccomend increasing your calories (2000-2500 to start). You can eat the same foods you are enjoying now, just increase your portions. It will take some time to get your body out of starvation mode. The lack of fat has caused you to lose your period and so that might take quite some time before it returns. Keep up the good work!!

what kind of dried fruits do you guys choose?! I tried dried peaches a while back and I have to say I'm not really a fan. I think I want to try dried bananas and apples. I can't get past the look of dried apricots though :/. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to be doing down in Florida. I got the job of role hopper which I think means I will be put wherever they need me. A little bit of rides, some merchandising, food and bev, and maybe main entrance operations. It'll be nice to be around people though as I seem to coup myself up here. I actually found out about this program through my school. I am currently attending Northeastern University which has a year long program where you just do 6 month long (or in my case only five month) internships (they call it co-op). Aqua- I know what you mean with the peanut butter, it is a fear of mine as well as I cannot seem to stick to only a 2 tbsp portion. It's like potato chips, you can't have just one lol. My family used to be the same well my mom would choose the meal the day of and that's what everyone would have to eat. I have two sisters and we all became really picky and my mom just got frusterated and so that changed throughout middle school/High School. My little sister is the worst she only likes like five things, chicken nuggets, fruit loops, crackers, hot dogs, chips, and fries. Shes so damn skinny too, but the worst eater. I mean she'll occasionally eat some carrots or celery or even a small caesar salad. I'm really worried about her and hope she decides to change her lifestylfe, but who am I to tell her what to eat when I lost way too much weight eating healthy and am now way smaller than my little sister. the point is we started eating out more often and I think that's when my ED started to develop as I was gaining weight and starting college def. was no help. Anyways enough about my boring life, the point was I wish I could back to the days where my mom cooked for us and I knew what to expect for the week, maybe I wouldn't worry about my calories throughout the day as much. |

wow, it sees to be getting harder and harder for me to keep up with this thread! lol. psychoj, so glad you enjoyed your vacay. That does seem like a very active trip. When I go away with my fam all they do is eat and lay around. Agru, sorry the date didn't turn out so well, but it's def the a step in the right direction and as they say there are plenty of fish in te sea. Yes, the new kashi entrees and sandwiches are amazing!! good for if you tend to be the type who has several meals throughout the day because they are roughly 240-300 cals. Have yet to try the pizza, waiting for someone to come split one with me as I know they are pretty large. As for the Edys, I love mint chip and I just tried the choc. fudge...so so so good! As for me, I seem to be driving myself insane. I posted about this earlier, but I'm going to be working in Disneyworld for the next five months and I'm so nervous that I will gain too much weight cause I can only assume about the eating habbits of working in a theme park. No time for food, so have to grab a hot dog or something :( ...gross (sorry to those who thoroughly enjoy them, they are one of my danger foods). I just wish I could relax and not think about how I am going to be around the food for once!! I want to learn to eat healthy and enjoy all the goodies in moderation. I just know that being around people eating junk all day will not be so great because I have little to no will power against it. Overall, I am probably just getting myself worked up and it will be fine and I'll be too busy to even think about it. |

Well I've recently discovered frozen meals...the new Kashi sandwiches are delish! I got the veggie medley (280 cals) and they are packed with fiber and some protein. It is on the small side, but it filled me up. They also have a couple chicken dishes I'm probably going to try southwestern chicken and veggies (240 cals). A little nervous about that one though since the cals are pretty low, hope it is filling cause it looks like plenty judging from the pic, but yeah--usually smaller in person. agru- One cup of ice cream a day will def. not hurt! :)!! (after all it is healthier than cake or candy and there is some calcium) |
