You know, I wonder this too.  Where would one go to find out?  I don't even know how they determine how many calories are in something.

I have the same problem as you and I don't want to pay that much either but I thought about it.  If you do buy them and take good care of them then they will last for a LONG time.  I have never heard of my hand weights falling apart.  The mat though, you would just have to take good care of.

On the other hand, eBay probably is the way to go.  People get into a fad where they buy all of this stuff thinking "Yeah!  I'm going to exercise!" and then don't.  It sits there, maybe never used (or used for a week) until they decide to clean house of thing they never use - and for cheap.

Sorry all, I couldn't post last Monday, I was at the hospital with my grandmother who got the lap-band surgery.  I figured that I would just weigh in this week. :)

Two weeks ago: 139.5lbs

This week: 139-141lbs

I have had no "cheat" days and have been doing very well so I blame this on either plateau, TOTM or water retention in general.  It could also be that my weight loss is slowing down.  Good luck everyone!

I have this problem too.  I try to take them at night.  It says on my bottle (I take One A Day Women's Active Mind and Body) to take with food and sometimes it works but usually it still makes me sick to my stomach and seriously makes me want to puke up all that I have consumed.  Lately I have been taking them at night when I have already consumed all of my calories and I am craving something.  It sounds really bad but I guess I'm just taking advantage of them by eating them when I shouldn't be eating food and I'm not hungry.

I think the reason that they make us feel sick is that our stomachs have trouble breaking up and digesting pills of any sort.  Meowert said to take chewable ones, someone else on CC said the same thing on an older post.

I was going to mention what kfirth1 said but she got to it first.  I'm 20 and I shop in both sections.  Since I do that, I count that since I have from a 16 to an 8 (or 17 to a 9) I count that as 8 sizes lost.

Besides, it sounds better and makes me feel better about it. :3

Online size charts don't work for me either.  You can go into a store that you like to purchase from (or two) and just go into their fitting rooms with a couple different sizes and then say that you didn't want any of them and leave. :P  I've done it before.

5-6 out of every 7 days I like to exercise but a couple days ago I managed to injure myself so I am going to take a break for a few weeks.  I am just going to take it slow until my foot heals.  My hard work did pay off though!  I am down to 140lbs as of this morning. :3  So happy!  I honestly don't know the last time I was 140lbs... I know it was sometime after I broke my leg (age 12, 120lbs then) and my 8th grade year (age 13, 150lbs).  >.<  I hope I can keep this up and the weight off!

Just to let you know, I also HATE green tea.  Actually I hate most teas.  I found this herbal tea at my super market that tastes like water with peppermint in it and it isn't so bad.  I can't remember what it is though... has a dragon on the front (my daughter picked it out).

The only green tea I have EVER been able to drink is green tea with citrus and that is only because the citrus taste mostly overwhelmed the nasty tea taste.

Halloween seriously messed up my calorie counting but it is okay because there is always today. :3  I seriously don't know how much candy I hate but at least it was all fun size!

I did the same thing when I wasn't a vegetarian lol.  Who knows how long I left it out... I found it eventually, was still cold, cooked it, ate it, still living, no sickness.  You should be fine.  If not, let us know so we don't do the same thing! Wink

Breakfast was alarmingly large, my husbands grandmother made soooo much food but since I am a ovo-vegetarian, I couldn't eat most of it (thank god): scrambled egg on a biscuit, whole waffle handmade in the waffle maker thing with syrup, a couple more biscuits (I normally stick with just one but it was halloween...)

Lunch was pizza from LaRosas (my favorite pizza place) and it had diced tomatoes, spinach, red onion, green olives and mushrooms.

Dinner was another piece of LaRosas pizza and a TON of candy that my daughter shared with me.  We had a blast trick-or-treating and so I don't mind indulging with her in candy.  I honestly don't know how many calories worth of candy I consumed so um... I probably ate 1900-2000 calories total yesterday... maybe more.  Who knows?

I have no regrets. Tongue out

Day 1: 144lbs (gained 2lbs due to water weight, 3 days of trick-or-treating was a lot but not enough to make me gain more than half a lb :3)

Goal: 135lbs!

Been doing 300-500 calorie workouts, will incorporate some of what you listed as well!

Omg inkblue I totally agree!  This girl I worked with (we were both making 7.90 an hour) had coach purses and wore guchi and had a brand new blackberry and got her nails filled once a week.  The funny thing was she also had a new car and was on FOOD STAMPS.  Now, don't get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with getting food stamps or any other kind of government help if you need it.  I just don't get how she could have all of this stuff and still qualify for food stamps.  I seriously needed tons of government help but refused to get it and I barely had a car, was homeless every other week.  She almost never ate too, she was TINY.

edit: when she did eat it usually was candy.

This diet is awesome!  I went through it for months for a while and it would have worked because I was counting every calorie at the time but at my work if the greasy hot dogs and tornados were too old (over 4 hours) then when we were throwing them out we could eat them.  That killed the diet lol.  My husband and I got so fat because I would save some for him too.  Ramen was awesome because at Walmart they are .32 cents a piece.

I honestly don't even label my meals anymore.  First thing for breakfast nearly every day, I eat fruit.  Usually it is grapes, strawberries, pineapple, apples, etc.  When I feel hungry again (maybe an hour later) I eat again, something else, whatever I feel like I guess.  If I am going anywhere then I pack myself another small meal.  When I read Skinny Bitch, they said to do it though they aren't doctors so you can't always listen to everything you read.  The book also said that it is believed that you can absorb more of the nutrients if you eat fruits by themselves than if you consume them with other things.  I don't know how true that it...  Eating fruit in the morning is just something I like to do.

I play DDR almost every day!  I used to play more and I don't think I have ever lost weight doing it but then again I never really paid attention.  It is a good workout, I have always played for fun.  What setting do you play it on?  Though the difficulty names change depending on what version of the game, I guess I can say that I play on the hardest and second hardest difficulties.  >.< So much fun!
