Hi everyone!  Started this week going to the gym. I can't believe I was so scared of going. Everyone was really nice and I got a good workout.

Today was weigh in day and I've lost 9 pounds since Jan. 1st. and some of it was what I had gained with the holidays. Today I finally kept my promise to myself that I would start working out in a gym. I've wanted to do this ever since I broke the 3-0-0. A friend went with me and we had a good time. It was all so new to me. I had no clue on how anything worked, but in no time at all I was on a treadmill and worked out on a bike. I know this is really going to help me in losing.    SW 370     CW 284

Silly me I was still on the old thread 300 club for 2008. I was wondering why no one was writing anymore. Tongue out 

I just got back doing real good a little over a week ago and I've just got off what I had gained over my first holidays. I didn't do to good through them, but I'm ready to get back to work. So glad to see so many new members.

So far so good, I've got another 2 pounds to get off to get me back to where I was before Christmas. I'm going to go with a friend to the YMCA on Friday to start working out there. My energy level isn't as high as it was before Christmas, so I'm a little worried about that. Maybe it's because my body is carving all the sweets I ate around the holidays. Undecided I started back on my walking aerobics on Monday and the energy just isn't there, but I'm doing it. I know everything will get back to normal and I can continue on losing like I was.

83 pounds lost, that is so awesome! If that don't motivate you I don't know what will. I've been doing real good the last few days to get back in gear and start losing again. I sure hope I do better on the next Holidays than I did this time. I've already got off 3 pounds of what I had gained. I actually smiled this morning when I got on them scales.  I'm so happy Sun that you started this group.

Hi Agent023,  I'm glad you found this group. Everyone is really nice. I joined a couple of months ago looking for others that are really working to reach their goals. They really motivate me to stay on track.  Always remember your never alone, there is always someone to talk to.

Tubzuks, what kind of exercise do you do? I got  a Walk and Tone DVD that I try to do at least 5 or more times a week. It's really a good workout. I started a  one mile, and then a 2 mile, and now a 3 mile one that takes 45 minutes to do. If you have cable and get On Demand Freezone you can pull it up and check it out. It's free. Just go to On Demand, click Freezone, click Health & Wellness, click Exercise TV, click Walking, and they have a 1 mile booster to start out with and then a Walk and Tone for a two mile one. It's a real good cardio workout. I love it because no matter what the weather is like I can get my exercising in.   And I've been doing a 1200 to 1300 calorie counting diet. I haven't heard of the dash diet.

Hi Everyone!      I had a long weekend so I didn't get on line that much over the weekend.  It was fun reading that some of you said something to my posting. I really love this group because you guys are always keeping up with one another.   Sun- I've seen your pictures and you really look good, but I know what your talking about when you said your skinny from the waist up. We took pictures at Thanksgiving and in them they looked like I lost my belly which isn't the case.  But today I decided to get out the old tape measurer and I was so excited (yes, excited) that I was able to touch the two ends when I measured my biggest part of me. I lost my bottom it's flat, but the front part is still there. But since I can get the tape around me I will be able to check and see if any changes happens. :-)     Good Luck topeze on your Jan 3 goal.  I know you'll get there. And Pam that is a good ideal about going to the Y to walk. I've been thinking about going to the Y and seeing if I could work out on some equipment. One time I went over there and no one was using any of it. I kept saying after I got under 3-0-0 I would get up enough nerve to do it but I still haven't. Welcome Tubzuks, I know you will love being part of this group.

Pam your doing so good!!!  I know you feel good after you go for your walk. I have a walking DVD, and the girl on it says you should be so proud of yourself that you made the time to do it, never would you say you wish you hadn't.  :-)  If you was anything like I was before I started this program, I didn't do anything. Now I've got myself walking and going places with more energy. And I know it will just get better.

Hi guys, It sounds like everyone is doing so good. I'm really trying to stay on track and hopefully the scales will show it next week. Today I went and tried on a new blouse but I got depressed looking in that stupid mirror in the dressing room. How I wish my stomach would de-flate faster. :-)  It's still there! I know it has gone down because there is a lot of room between me and the steering wheel now. My doctor said that will be one of the last places you'll lose. I'm doing crunches after I do my walking but I still don't see any change. How I wish I would of had the body type that you put most of the weight on the backside. That way I wouldn't have to look at it all the time. :-)  I know I still have a long way to go so hopefully one of these days I will start seeing a change.  Sorry to sound so down, I guess it's just one of them days.

Hi Everyone,

Pam your going to do great with starting your walking program. It doesn't matter how short your walks are because it will get better as time goes by.

Renaer I can't believe your only 5 pounds from a 100. I checked out yours and Sun's Then and Now pictures and you both look so good! It made me want to work that much more to see the change in me when I get more weight off.

My goal for Jan. 1st is to lose over 10 pounds.

Hi Everyone!

I'm back to my lowest weight before the Thanksgiving Holidays. I've worked real hard to get there the last few days. Boy was it hard to get through Thanksgiving, it was my first holiday.  I gained around 10 pounds some of it water gain from eating ham I'm sure. I had went to two dinners on two different days, and my will power didn't show up for neither one of them.  It's so scary to see how fast them pounds can come back on you, or how hard it is to get back on track.  I've done a lot of reading on journals of ones that has lost a lot of weight and looked at several THEN and NOW pictures. It really got me back on track.  I want that for me. I've lost 84 pounds and only 16 pounds away from losing a 100. So I've got to work real hard and hopefully nothing will come up to tempt me for awhile.

Hi everyone!  I've really been struggling since last Saturday. I went to my family Thanksgiving gathering we have every year the weekend before Thanksgiving. And the scales really went up the next morning.......  I've been trying real hard the last 3 days to get it to come back down. I'm so not looking forwards to Thursday's dinner. I have to cook the meal for 5 of us and I'm not cutting calories when I make everything. I'm just cutting back on how much I'm fixing. I don't want any left overs. I hardly can wait until this week is over with. I knew it was going to be like this. My will power just didn't show up last Saturday, and I know... it won't on Thursday either. I had just got in the 280's and now I'm right back in the 290's.  Boy is it scary how fast them pounds can come back on you. I'm telling you I was like a kid in a candy store. I only got small portions but I tried everything. And another downer, was out of 50 people only a hand full said they could really tell I've lost and looked good. But I was prepared for that. 90% of them are over weight and when your over weight you just don't bring that kind of stuff up, I guess. I probably was that way too. I've lost 84 pounds since the last time they all have seen me. Go figure. It's my dysfunctional family. :-)    If I can only just get through Thursday without to much damage I'll just have to work extra hard to get back to my lowest weight and back on track.

Hi Everyone!  Yesterday was my weigh in and I reached another Goal. I've finally got out of the 290's. This morning the scales said 286! That's a 6 pound lost this week. This month has been so hard, it's like I've wasted the first two weeks of November. I would go down a pound and up a pound. But I really kicked it up a notch this week and tried real hard. No more cheating!!!! Or at least I tried. :-)    I  know I have Thanksgiving to handle but I'm planning on it only being ONE day to worry about.  I'm not going to have to many leftovers to keep tempting me. My next goal is to get in the 270's and then dare I say it "My 100 pound Goal". It's only 16 pounds away.   If anyone had told me 5 and half months ago that I would be this close to lose a 100 pounds, I truly wouldn't have believed them. My husband wants to take me somewhere and make it special but I think it will be in January when I reach it and the weather might be a factor. We can't afford to fly some place, besides we have our little dog Callie that we won't leave. Only 16 pounds away I really need to be thinking of a place we can go. Maybe a long weekend in Dallas, anything going south. :-)  I love reading everyone's entries and seeing how everyone is doing so good. Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this group, you guys really know how to motivate a person with how good you all have done.  It's been a little stressful this week but I did lose 2 more pounds this week. I'm at 291 today on my weigh in day.   I wanted to Congratulate Wobbly on getting under 3-0-0. I just did that 9 pounds ago. It was just so exciting when I got in the 290's. Now I'm looking toward the 280's next week. Hope, hope.  I saw that liza413, and simplykimberly both started from 370 just like I did. When I first joined CC I couldn't fine to many that had to lose as much as I did. Sunnyone24 and I found each other on CC and has been keeping track of each other from day one. She is one of my biggest motivators. We both know how important it is to have others support to get us through the tuff times and being there saying their proud of how good we're doing. I know that is one of the reasons I'm celebrating my 5th month and still going.   And Renaer14, when I went on vacation last month I gained 6 pounds in one week. And lost it and one more the following week. I guess some of it was water gain. But boy did it scare me how fast I gained it  back. I know they say you shouldn't weigh everyday but I don't want any more surprises like that.  :-)    And Sun123, congratulations on getting to 250.  You have done so good, you're such a inspiration. And Thank You for helping me in joining the 300 group.

Hi everyone, I'm new to your club. I've been a member of CC for 5 months now and I ran across 123sun post and I really wanted to be a part of your group.  I've lost 77 pounds so far and still have a long way to go. Finding CC website has been one of the biggest reasons that I've done so good. And my husband being on my calorie counting healthy eating program is another one. :-)     He has lost 50 pounds and is only 10 pounds away to his goal at 170.  We workout 5 days a week with a aerobic walking program on cable TV called Walk and Tone. We started a 1 mile one then worked up to a 2 mile. And now a 3 mile one.  I can't believe how much it has helped me being able to get out and walk and go places. Plus losing 77 pounds.   Last month I had gain 5 pounds on our vacation and I lost that plus another 8. It was pretty scary how fast I had a gain. But I'm sure some of it was water gain. But this was a pretty big month for me. I got under the 3-0-0.

Hi Seasun21,

I have been a member for over 4 months. I hope you will enjoy being a member as much as I have. It really helps to have others who know what your going through. I really count on the support from my cc friends. When you start your journal, others can comment on your entries. This is where you get a lot of support. And you can comment on other cc members journals.

Nebby4t and fatteen, You guys are so young and and I know you guys will do great since you found this site. I found it a month ago and I've lost 31 pounds so far. Keep track of what you eat and your calories and write in your journals. That has really helped me to keep focus on it everyday.  It helps with getting support from someone that understands what your going through. I'm so glad I found this site. I've met a lot of people and get a lot of support. Good luck!

Boy it's nice to see everyone starting out new like me. I've had a time figuring out how everything works like how to add buddys. But everyone is so helpful all you have to do is ask. I started 16 days ago and I'm still going strong. It has really helped to have a place to go on the web to just have someone to talk to. I checked out some of the recipes and got a fruit smoothie recipe. Boy was it good. It's a good way to get in your fruits.

Hi sunnyone24, Yes I have been working so hard to get a good start. I've been eating 1200 to 1000 calories a day and others has told me not to go under 1500 or I'll hit a time it won't come off. I have so much to loose I can't even think of it not coming off. My husband is on it with me this time and it is really helping. We was big on eating out, but no more. Unless I can get to a Subway. I bought us several low cal. TV dinners for our fast food in a hurry. I checked out the calories we was eating out at places and the only word comes to mind is SHOCK! I don't know where this Will Power is coming from this time but since June 4th 2008 I haven't cheated once. I bought me some new scales a couple of days ago that will weigh me and I was so excited to see after two weeks I lost 21 pounds. I'm keeping track everyday of my calories and making up new recipes that are legal for my cravings. Like I love mexican... So I fix a legal taco salad with small round bite size chips that I count to make it legal. It takes care of my craving. Now I got to work on my Pizza craving.

I've started my diet two weeks ago and joined CC a week ago. It's so good to read others  that has to loose 100 lbs. plus like I need too. I just weighed today after 2 weeks and I lost 21 lbs. I'm so happy I can't believe it. I know 10 or more pounds is probably water from my watching the salt but it sure did look good on the scales. I have such a loooooong way to go. I had to go buy some scales today that could even go up enough to weigh me. I welcome any of you guys to send a message to me. I don't have anyone to talk to about loosing my weight because if I told others that I lost 21 pounds they would just look at me and say where did it go? I am so determine this time to make it work.

Just wanted to reply. I've just found this website and was reading you story.  I wanted to wish you a lot of luck on your move and loosing your weight. I lost my mom when I was 32 and boy I can tell you it was tough. I had two boys, 5 and 3. My Mom was my best friend so I lost two people when I lost her. And if it wasn't for my husband and two boys I know I wouldn't have been able to make it. But 23 years later I'm still here. But I still have my weight to get off. I've always been caring extra weight and through the years it just kept adding. I've tried several times to take it off but just couldn't stay on it. I was a stay at home mom too, and now that my boys are grown and gone I'm still at home. But as of 10 days ago I started this diet and I'm doing great! This time I've reached out on the web to see if I can't get some support and someone to talk to. I'm treating my diet this time like it is a JOB! I count calories and my mistakes so I can correct them. I haven't stumbled once, but I've had a few close calls. But so far have been able to keep on track. I am my dad's caretaker now and we live in Oklahoma. Your story just hit home a little with me and I wanted to wish you a lot of luck staying on your eating healthy. Wishing you luck..

Yes I am a new member and I was browsing around reading several stories and saw yours. I have over a 100 pounds to loose too. I've tried so many times but this time I reached out on the web to see if I could get some support to help me and have someone to talk to. And don't laugh but I'm treating this time like it is a JOB. I'm giving it my full attention keeping calories and mistakes so I can correct them. It's been a full time Job the last 10 days. Yes I only started 10 days ago and I haven't weighed myself yet. And I'm not anytime soon. I have to far to go to reach my goal to worry about weighing myself everyday. So far I feel great! I haven't stumbled once. I've had a lot of close calls but so far have been able to keep on track. My screen name is mnic.
