Frustrationnn (haha).  Oh well, I've been working out every other day (brief run and weight lifting) and this week I actually started to get my butt in gear and stick to my 1300 daily instead of snacking at night.  Maybe I'll start seeing results next week.  I feel good about this!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!  Keep up the awesomeness! Cool

Uh oh.  Not the best way to start, but I'm semi-okay about it because I weighed 131.2 on August 2nd (I really have to stop weighing myself more than once each week though...).  However, I'm very disappointed in myself for another reason.  I went on a massive peanut butter binge/craze these past few days.  Bad decision, but I'm excited to start fresh and get back on track!

HERE WE GO, READY TO DO THIS! Cool

Chicken soup, yogurt, chocolate pudding, and jello were my meals for a couple of days after the surgery.  It's funny though, because during the recovery period you actually don't seem to feel as hungry as you do normally, so it's actually not too bad having mostly liquids for the first few of days.

Hope that helps!  You're surgery will go great (mine was much easier than I had been expecting) and you'll be back to eating all of your yummy foods in no time! Cool

YAY EVERYONE!!!

Finished W7 with my best run ever!!  9:43 per mile ... whee!

I just finished W8D1 this morning and I got some side stiches so I had to slow down quite a bit (gah, I hate that .. it's so disappointing!!) ... but I finished the 28 mins without stopping!  Wow, at the start of all this, I would have NEVER thought I could run for 28 minutes straight.. YAY!!!

Everyone is doing so great .... I get such motivation reading all of your posts because I know we're all in this together ... aw yay Cool

ps. I joined your Mashed Potatoes group bobev!!  I'm "ladystardust" (I like david bowie a lot :P)

well, I'm back at university now, and while it is MUCH harder to get up early in the morning, I have managed to maintain my running schedule so far ... I did W7D1&2 this week so far, and they were haaaard haha.  actually, I was doing great today until I got an excrutiating side stitch with about 5 minutes left to go ... I was so upset that I had to stop for a couple minutes!  but oh well, I am proud that I finished my run though Smile

Hooooray!!!!! keep up the amazingness everyone Laughing

Yay bobev!

I finished W6 today tooo (except I repeat it again tomorrow morning, just for kicks Tongue out)!!!  The 25 min run was great!  I went a little slower than usual though, because I was also being cautious ... I was sooo tired after I finished, but I could tell I still had some gas left in the tank ... so i'm definitely gonna try and ramp up the pace during W7!!  Today I ran at a 10:33 min/mile pace ... so I'm proud of myself for that, but it is still a tad bit slower than usual...

Wheeee! Cool

YAYYYYY!!! Awesome job guys Cool

I finished W6D2 today ... it was great!!!  haha but I would have almost rather run for a straight 20 minutes than have to stop after 10 and then start running again ... I used to LOVE the walk breaks (I still do!), but I find it sooo much harder to get going again now after stopping to walk... blah!  hahah I might eat my words after Friday though ... 25 minute run .. eek!  But I can do it Smile

Keep it up everyone!!!  And anyone who's interested should join bobev's challenge (see previous posts)!!  It'll be fun!

I'm totally in on this one bobev!!! Cool Great idea!

I signed up for this "Worldwide Run" (cool!) about a month ago, but I would definitely like to join a team of fellow C25K-ers if you start one!! I think it would be cool if we created our own team (and it has to have an awesome name Tongue out) and all joined up!

I'm really pumped for this!!

Good morning 5k buddies!

YAY! Buds! Cool

I was actually having a kind of down-in-the-dumps morning today, but coming on here (even when I'm not supposed to at work.. oopsy) always gives me a little smile and reminds me that stressing about stupid stuff is pointless and to just have fun!! And running is actually fun for me now!! Laughing

wheee!  hooray for all of us!!

edit: my first 20 minute run tomorrow morning (W5D3) ... excited!

bobev & lozzle: I agree!!  I did W5D2 this morning (2 reps of 8 minute running) and it really wasn't bad at all!  I felt great!  And during the first 8 minutes I felt like I could definitely keep going for 20 whole minutes!  Hopefully I feel that way on Friday when I do D3 lol Cool

Everyone is doing awesomely amaaaazing Laughing, and to those just starting out ... you can do this!!  Trust me/us, it gets easier as you go (well, it has so far anyway) and if during a run your brain starts screaming out "Stop! Stop running! I'm sooo tired and can't run anymore!" ... then just think to yourself, "This is just mental exhaustion, NOT physical exhaustion."  Fight your negative thoughts and keep going! ... I always tell myself this, and it's gotten me through a lot of runs Smile.

Good luck!
