Fitness Is it possible that HIIT was created by Satan or a Satan like diety? Feb 25 2009
20:36 (UTC)

Yeah ,

the first time I tried it I went my usual route and did HIIT for 15 mins.

I planned to jog lightly the rest of the way home , but I physically couldn't.

It does improve you as I can now finish the run home at my normal pace.

But it is killer!

Original Post by christined24:

for milk alternatives you can have tons of stuff!

i personally love rice milk yummm, the chocolate is the best but you can get it unsweetened, there is also almond milk, soy milk or any lactose free milk which shouldn't irritate your stomach but the taste is hard to get used too. you can go to safeway and you should be able to find all those items so it won't be a speciality store item.

for a bread go for gluten free bread but make sure you read labels! again gluten free bread takes time to get used too. go online and you can find tons of blogs and websites about doing a gluten free diet and foods.

http://www.csaceliacs.org/gluten_grains.php -this is a great website listening all the alternatives to wheat!

hope that helped

 thanks for the link x

thanks , I used to have to eliminate things when I was younger so I'm used to it.

I did without bread this week and feel much better, but I still think the milk has something to do with it. So I'll try them both this week and maybe add bread back in next week to see if I'm ok with that.

I like the sound of rice milkSmile Don't no what I'll do about the bread, as the brand mentioned is not sold in the uk.

I'm not exactly a recovery story yet but I'm on my way...

Life has been a bit of a cold blur....

going from anorexia to bullemia

associating everything with my weight, it could be something completly unrelated and I would think i was horrible

i was terrified of scales and if i went on them i would cry hysterically because i "was over weight"

lieing to my friends and family

having no friends... the ones i did have influenced my disorder then made fun of me because of it

drinking 2 litres of water in 5 minutes and purging when I hadn't ate anything in 2 days.

crying... i still cry alot... i cried reading everyones storys... x

my mum saying she would know if her daughter had an ed and i did

hating everything about myself, the way I looked, the way i spoke, the way i ate (if i did), how i was a horrible hateful person, how stupid i told myself i was

my hands and feet being so painful i couldn't walk

6days and i've not been sick or binged or starved!

Hi

That happened to me after the summer.

I took up running one summer and lost some weight. When I got back to school my friends started saying how thin I was, I'm not thin I'm healthy.

A girl who hung about with us made fun of me and some boys joined in about how I didn't eat at lunch, I was accused of having bullemia after I had a cake one day at lunch.

I no longer see these people as I felt intimidated that they attacked me as a group, even my best friend did not stick up for me when she saw me eat almost every night of the summer as she was always at mine for dinner and sleepovers. Personally breakfast is my fav meal Smile If they seriously thought there was a problem I would have rather they would have spoke to me

Admittedly I did not eat alot at school which did not help my case but I swear I did not have a ed.

However the following summer , the one there, I did develop an eating disorder which I am still struggling with. I don't know if these people influenced me to do so, but they did put me in a weak state of mind.

People say hurtful things and they don't understand the consequences. I know most people would never deal with the situation in such a silly way like me but I just wanted to state how serious things like these can turn out.

Congrats on your healthy weight loss and never let anything like this influence your decisions whether that is eating more to shut them up or an ed like me. I can't believe I did this because some unhealthy people were nasty to me.

You seem like a smart girl so go eith your instinct and I am sure your actions will be the right ones. x

Hi, I usually run 4 or 5 times a week (4 -7 miles each time) but wouldn't exactly call myself a runner.  I just do it for fun and it is cross country in a very hilly area.

I do a very similar programme to the poster aboves suggested one.  I began it just after I picked up running and did find it very hepful, running became easier especially the hills.

I do it without a ball and do a considerably higher amount of reps. depending of each part.  For example I can do around 300 sit ups if I break it into 50's but only 30 press ups broken down into 10's.  Just whatever I no my body can handle.

I have vastly improved in this programme and now find it easier.  Therefore I increased the parts appropriately.

I suggest you give it a try.

Can I just ask joyfulake how long you held the plank position?

Hope I helped but, you need to see how it goes personally, everybodys different.
