Hey Everyone!!!!

Congrats to everyone who has lost or maintained their weight!!!

Welcome to all the new comers!!!

I'm still here and working towards my goal weight! I haven't been as determined since i came back from 4th of july vacation, but refuse to give up altogether! The weather has been scorching hot... like 106 degrees! That has discouraged me from getting back into walking everyday! It's cooling back down to mid 90's and we walked yesterday and are continuing today!!!! I just feel like i should have lost more by now! I have lost about 2 inches since i started in june but I'm still at 287! I thought weightloss was fastest when you first start?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!? What a bummer!

Sorry for the long absence everyone! I was out of town being a nature bug... OMG... I had the Best holiday weekend ever!!!! My boyfriend and I went camping in Bodega Bay, Ca with some friends!!! The stuff we ate wasn't too bad and I stuck with my portion control. I drank too much though, so i know i went over my calorie count. Damn that alcohol! Innocent I was able to get some excercise in... we went walking on the beach like everyday! Hiking up hills of sand is SOoo HARD!!!! Laughing LOL.... I hope everyone else had a blast! Congrats on your successful cookout Courtney!

I am definitely meeting the water goal... Yippee! I have a lot more energy too!!! Now the weight loss isnt going so well... I gained then went back to 287!!!! Maybe its my scale or maybe its not!!! Oh well... I'm not giving up! I feel way too good to return to misery!

I do have a question for everyone!!! I am going camping in bodega bay for 4th of July.. I'm having some problems with the meal planning! My boyfriend and i are going with some friends, some of which are not watching their calories and we planned to just split the cost of groceries and cook for all. Now my question is the sides. I prefer just meat and a side of fruit or veggies for dinner... they want some kind of pasta or something. Pasta is a HUGE weakness for me!!! I love it, so it's probably not a good idea to have any... I know portion control could help... but like i said i LOVE pasta and therefore don't trust myself! Any suggestions on diet friendly sides!?!?!?

OMG!!! I am going through the same thing!!!! I have had stomach problems for a while. now that i have recently started counting calories and trying healthier foods... its SOOooo much worse! I finally went because i kept having to leave work early from my frequent bathroom visits! Extremely Embarrasing and Uncomfortable! So, i haven't gotten the tests results yet, but my doc is testing everything! He is checking the blood cell count because sometimes nausea accompanies my frequent bowel movements.... allergies and even a stool sample to make sure theres no blood. There are many possibilities that we discussed.... IBS was one of them. We spent a lot of time on Ulcers, which is what the stool sample will find out!!!!! He said its a good possibility! Anyways, I feel for you and will let you know what happens with the results. You should definitely get aggressive and find a GOOD doctor that is willing to help you find the source of your misery!!!!! Hope this helps! I'm here if you have any questions! Good Luck!

That's right Courtney! Don't worry about it azmami. Your main goal should be to get healthy. If you win money in the meantime, thats great! Just remember, they are doing it for the money and are most likely gonna blow back up again or maybe even get bigger than before! Thats not healthy! The choice to lose weight and get healthy is a LIFETIME journey. Even when you get to your goal weight, you will still have to work hard, if not harder to keep it off. I think to become successful in this you have to completely change your LIFESTYLE. Keep your head up and just ignore that @#$!%^&... I'm here if you need to talk!

Courtney.... 3liters a day... I fill up a 16.9fl oz. bottle about 4x daily... so all i have to do is fill it 2 extra times per day to meet that goal!!! Im in! With the activity goal... I'm at about 8-10hrs per week now... i will TRY for 15. thats a little much though. thats more than 2hrs per day! OMG!

Hey... I thought i would check in on ur water weight question....

DRINK WATER!!!!

I know.. it sounds wierd, but the best way to retain less water is to drink more water! If you retain an extreme amount, you might want to bring it up at ur next dr. visit because there are pills that help you retain less. Try upping your water intake first! About losing lbs per week... ur at a healthy rate.... Again if you drink more water this may help. Just wondering... whats ur calorie intake per day?

What about a book? Try to find a GOOD book that you can just lose yourself in.... perfect for when your lil one is napping! I always find good reads at my local thrift store (second hand store). Sounds geeky, I know. I was never big on books until recently. The most I used to read was my Cosmopolitan Magazine.Laughing LOL. I finally found some books that really kept my interest. I work in a cubicle 8hrs a day, 5 days a week!!!! I GET BORED!!!! I just bring my book with me to work and read it on my breaks and lunch time.... I eat slower and a lot less! Another thing you might try is a workout tape. I have also found a lot of them at my thrift store (just in case your on a budget... new baby= extra expenses).

FIRST STEP: Get rid of the unhealthy snacks.... If the 8 month old is your only child... he/she isn't old enough to be eating/drinking sugary stuff... so, there's no need to have them in the your cabinets! There's plenty of healthy alternatives.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!

Yum... Popsicles.... Ice cream is my downfall and I was just recently told that frozen yogurt isn't any better! Cry I'm not sure if thats true or not... I guess I will have to do my research! I MUST get to the bottom of this! LOL. Thank god, My boyfriend is sort of dieting with me. He kinda doesn't have a choice, I do the cooking. He pretty much eats whatever i make, even if he doesn't like it! I have been really trying to taste new things. Mainly trying new types of fish. Which is a really big step considering I'm an extremely picky eater. I realized a lot of the foods that I "don't like", I've never actually tasted. What a wierdo I am, huh?!?!?! So, that's my plan.... try new things, healthy things. Salmon is next on the list. Never tryed it.... just SOUNDS gross.

I think my dog is a real lifesaver! It's hard to be a couch potato with a rambunctious puppy who always wants to go out and play.

Oh... Courtney Lee, I looked up those fitflops. They seem like they would be a good buy, but they go for about $50.... With gas AND food prices these days, I'm lucky if I have any money left. Definitely something I will keep in mind.

Well, CONGRATS to everyone who has lost lately! I will be joining you in your victory dance soon!

OMG!!! Can I join!?!?!? I'm new to CC... I just signed up last week.

So, Here's my story:

I'm 21yrs old and have been overweight my whole life... I have always wanted to be thinner (not boney) and be seen as ME! I've done a pretty good job of not letting my weight hold me back in life with friends, school, etc..... but it's always there. I am now at my heaviest and I can't help but let it affect the way I live life! for example, I live in california and the state fair comes every summer and I LOVE RIDES!!!! Now, I'm afraid I might be too big to comfortably fit once the people lock down the bar that holds you in. My worst fear is to get kicked off because i won't fit! Last summer was the first time i went to the fair and didnt go on anything but the teacups because i was afraid of that! I have had it!!! I wanna live my life! I really feel like i have "hit rock bottom"! I would love to join you guys and we can do this together!!!! I already have the support of my boyfriend of 4+ yrs (high school sweethearts) and my best friend, whom i met in H.S. as well... but the more support the better!!!

My Current Weight: 287

My Goal Weight: 180

Calorie Intake per day: No More Than 1500

Excercise: Walk about 2-3 Miles AT LEAST every other day Sometimes every day and Swim daily (california is HOT!!! 90's to 100's everyday!)

Let me know what you guys think!!!!

Water?!? I drink it all day long. I keep a 16fl.oz. bottle at my desk and refill it at least 4x before the end of a work day.... I then continue drinking water at home. I have heard a few things about vitamin b-12 giving you energy and boosting metabilism... havent tried it though. I sit in a cubicle 7.5hrs per day through the week and i am constantly finding myself craving for snacks (popcorn, chips, chocolate, etc.). I bring plenty of fruits and veggies and i have been strong, but i just want to FEEL full instead of actually BEING full. As far as exercise goes... i only recently made the choice to get healthy. I have been faithfully walking my dog about 3miles every day this whole week. I plan to stick with it too! I love the outdoors! Thank You For your thoughts!
