Health & Support missed period and NOT pregnant. HELP! Apr 30 2009

This EXACT thing happened to me just recently! I went off my birth control and after having two normal periods I hadnt had a period for almost four months! So I went to my doctor! I was NOT pregnant, and my doctor prescribed a low dose hormone (progesterone) to kick start my period and as she put it "reset" my body's hormonal cycle. It worked for me!

Thanks everyone! Those are really good ideas! AFter reading gordons and binkstars posts I realized that I haven't actually been recording everything (like the little bites at work) so I'm going to definitely try that! and I'll definitely try bringing healthier food to work (i hadn't even thought of that being as I work at a restaurant lol). Thanks for the suggestions- I really appreciate the support. It's nice to have a place to go when everyone in my life doesn't think I should be dieting (at 150 I'm the skinniest of the bunch- but still not as healthy as i like to be).

Well, I've been walking since I posted.. I'm still not better though. This is one nasty head cold and it keeps getting passed back around work. It doesn't help that I work where people can smoke either :( I think you're right about the germs though, I wouldn't want everyone at the gym to get sick too! A few more days and I'm hoping I'll be back to full speed.

Thanks! I hope I'll be better soon- I am very bored lol. I've been lazing around the house for the last two days doing absolutely nothing. It was kind of nice at first but now it's just dull! I guess I'll give it a couple more days and go for a walk or something for now. Thanks for the advice!

The Lounge What's the deal with all the Twilight threads? Jan 05 2009

I'm 20.. I think that makes me an adult and I love the twilight books! It's not a boring read if you can understand the complex relationships between the characters and learn to empathize with them. If you have an imagination the books are wonderful. I think the writing style that allows for imagination is what made the HP books so popular also. I would recommend reading the HOST also, but I agree that the backstory part of it does get dry, and if you find books about complex relationships boring you won't like it.

I don't have any advice, but i'm in the same boat as you. I've been counting calories since october 4th, and I started working out 4 days a week on october 15th. I've been alternating cardio and weight lifting, and I've only lost 3 lbs. I haven't lost a single pound in the last week and a half.. It's kind of discouraging. Although i did manage to go 4 miles on the treadmill yesterday!

As my quitting smoking counselor keeps telling me- a slip up just means you need more practice at your new lifestyle. You had plenty of time to practice the old one so just give yourself a break and keep going
