I am no expert. I did hear a former Mr. America speak about losing weight. He said that working on your thighs (toning and strengthening) is the best bodybuilding way to kick start your metabolism and lose weight. The rest of your body responds to exercise mush better too when the thighs hold good muscle. He also suggested not working any muscle area more than 2-3 times a week because the time off actually heals that specific area and helps to strengthen it. Of course, this does not include cardio which you could do every day if you want to keep your heart and circulation healthy and burn daily calories. I worked out for a year and lost two sizes - but no weight. Now I am exercising and counting calories (2 weeks now) and have lost about 8 pounds. My thighs look really good too! Plus I enjoy how I feel. |
