Motivation Students: what do you do around finals? Jun 23 2008

I agree with dove2424.  I find that even though studying is the main focus during finals week, I am much more calm if I get in just 20 minutes or so of exercise each day.  I also tend to stock up on frozen/easy to prepare healthy stuff the weekend before, so that I don't resort to fast food or vending machines.  Exercise may take 20 minutes away from studying, but it'll also give your brain time to focus on something else!

Good luck to everyone on finals next year!

Hi guys!

Thanks for the welcome!

The Boston Marathon is unique in that you have to qualify for it with a speed of 3 hours and 30 minutes which is reeeally fast.  I ran mine in 4 hours and 17 minutes.  It took 16 weeks of actual training and 4 weeks of pre-training.   I used a book called "The Non-Runners Guide to a Marathon".  It is amazing and has GREAT advice plus training plans!  You could definitely do a marathon!!

Hi everyone!

I just joined this site today.  I am 22 and in grad school.  I did marathons and triathlons for my first 3 years in college and never had a weight problem (I just thought I did...)  Now the weight has snuck up on me and I'm ready to lose it!  I exercise every morning and eat pretty healthy, but my problem is late night eating.  Anyway, I am so excited to join this thread!  Here are my stats:

Age: 22

Height: 5"3

Weight: 178

Goal weight: 120

Thanks guys!

Lauren
