Agreed with pretty much everyone else said, nothing to add. I'd be tempted to buy one of those shirts that has those lines like, "Do not touch!" or "Permission denied!" or "Nope, don't you dare!" right in front.........

Sorry to have to disappoint you. I'm not affiliated with T-tapp at all. It's just that I'm short on time, and I don't have a whole lot of time exercising for hours and going to the gym, and I find that T-tapp works for me with just 15 minutes a day. I see so many posts on people working so hard, and then burning out, I just thought that I might share something that's shorter and easier, simply more doable. Skin brushing helps with the loose skin. I also see so many people saying after losing 20-30 lbs. they have skins hanging, well, I just know that if they do this skin brushing thing, it'll help them tremendously. Nothing is harder on one's skin than pregnancy, where the skin around the abdomen is stretched out slowly to the point of a huge balloon for 9 months, and then one day, like a balloon, pop! when your baby's born, all those extra skin just hangs. If you've ever been pregnant before, you'll know what I mean, the skin becomes less elastic, dry, maybe even looks darker color, and has stretch marks all around. Well, think, times three...... and for others, maybe less times, maybe more times. I cited that site on post #6 is because it's free. The one I'm doing is T-tapp's copyrighted moves. I'm just saying you don't have to pay to get benefits from dry brushing. You can use the free one, don't have to buy from T-tapp.

I was pretty skeptical myself, but after seeing other people's results, I had to try myself. Before staying home, I worked as an attorney. I don't get carried away easily by fads, myths, etc. I need proof. I'm not saying this is easy, you still need to get yourself to do it daily to see results. It's not some pill you can take, and poof! you're thin and you're fabulous. But at least it's doable. 15 minutes a day. Not 2 hours. But it took me 2.5 years in all to get here, it didn't happen overnight.

Thanks rubynoodles!

Cherry_: I totally understand the doubt. I was that way at the beginning too. But the result speaks for itself. I just update my current picture, and I sure hope my skin doesn't look 36 years old. I wear no make-up, I just ask my 8-year-old to take a picture of me.

It's using a natural fiber brush like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Yerba-Prima-Botanicals- Brush-Bristle/dp/B00014F9SI

And you use it to brush your skin from your feet to your neck. Just dry brushing. There's a copyrighted brushing method which I used on T-Tapp web site, but I think you can just brush upward and it'll be fine. Pretty much brush with long, smooth strokes about 20 times on each area, it stimulates the lympatic system, makes your immunity stronger, get rid of cellulite, and tighten the skin all over.

1. T-Tapp 15 minutes a day http://www.t-tapp.com

2. Use a natural fiber brush to do whole body dry brushing each day.

3. Count calories (I was eating a bit too much before).

The knowledge I gleaned on the Calorie Count site, I figure if I only eat 100 calories extra each day, I would probably gain around 11 lbs. a year. So, with the tools on this site, I am able to stick to my needs very closely, and even have some deficits some days to lose some more fat.

Not a great cook (nor even an okay cook), but being a Chinese myself, I know how it is that Chinese parents just want to show love to their children by feeding them. I don't know any sites with Chinese food nutrition & healthy eating, but could you ask her to use less oil in her cooking? Maybe, cut out fried foods, eat more things that are steamed, or in soups? Switch white rice to brown rice, or do half & half, since it's healthier. Exercise portion control, maybe limit yourself to one bowl of rice, or at most 1.5 bowl? I know, because sometimes Chinese foods are so tasty, and with lots of soy sauce, one would eat a ton of rice. And for guys, sometimes they can easily down five bowls, and that's definitely not going to help.

Congrats on your recent weight loss success! It can be done!

I'm sorry about your experience. I'm also fairly thin, and had that comment made about me before. I had 3 c-sections. About 2 years ago, after sharing our vacation pictures with friends, my friend emailed me a congratulations email for having no.4. I was like 'what??' Anyway, that prompted me to find a way to flatten my stomach. I found T-Tapp.

Here's their free exercise to try out:

You can also check my profile to see my 'after' pictures. I do have a flat stomach now. Try skin brushing too. I use the T-tapp skin brushing method also, and that got my skin tightened.

Pregnancy & Parenting c-section, is it possible to get my tummy back? Jan 04 2009

I think it's possible. I had 3 C-sections, my youngest is now 4.

Now I'm about 115 lbs.  I don't really do sit-ups, because I find that it hurts where the incision is.  I do T-Tapp, eat 50% raw, portion control, keep active.

Every time we went on family vacation, I'd share pictures with friends. Last summer, after I did that, my friend 'automatically' assumed that I was expecting. Ha, not funny! I wasn't. That set me off a path of trying to lose my belly fat. I have three kids, but I no longer can blame it on post-partum baby fat, since at that time, my youngest was already 2.5 years old.

Your weight and height sounds quite alright to me. I think it'll be good to add in some exercise to change some of your fat on your belly to long, lean muscles. That's what I've been trying to do! I have a lot of belly fat after having three kids, now my stomach is quite flat thanks to counting calories and exercising daily.

Pregnancy & Parenting what should I do to help w/pain in my c-section incision? Jul 23 2008

I've had 3 c-sections and each time took a LONG time to heal. I didn't do much exercise during the first year after surgery, except walking. I would stop doing sit-ups altogether, there are other ways to tone up your stomach muscles without doing sit-ups.

Right now, if I were you, I would rest it easy for a while. Do you have a heating pad? Put it on your c-section scar for 20 minutes or more each time you rest, the heat will fascilitate healing to that area. This advice was given to me by my nurse after my first c-section. I use it during mid-cycle too when I have mid-pain.

Have you ever heard of dry brushing? Basically, it's getting a soft natural fiber brush to brush your skin from toes up to your neck daily. You could do it more than once a day, it really helps tighten up your skin.

I found this web site that talks about it, just head to your local health food store and get a brush, and start brushing.

I've got an updated shot taken 2 months later, wearing the same jeans, Tommy Hilfiger size 4 jeans, looks a lot looser.

It's all thanks to this site, counting my calories, eating around 1200 each day, and doing T-Tapp.

Okay, I will ask....what is dry brushing?

 It's explained here, http://www.naturalhealthtechniques.com/Healin gTechniques/Dry_Brushing_Technique.htm

But the specific program I use is T-Tapp's CRT skin tightening system, you can check it out at www.t-tapp.com.

Kelbian,

Thanks for your compliment. I still have 7 lbs to go, and still got lots of pinchable fat on my belly. I'm so glad to find this site!

In answer to your question, I think you have to ask your OB when you can start doing ab exercises again. But I think you can do long brisk walk and still get some tone back on your stretch out ab muscles. I've always thought my OB cut through my muscles too, so I'm always a little nervous about doing ab exercise, and didn't start that until a long time after the c-section, I'm trying to remember, maybe six months after?

Congrats on getting back to your pre-pregnancy weight so fast! I've never gone back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I started out with 105 lbs, 5 feet 4 frame with my first child, and now I'm around 117 lbs, after 3 kids and some fat stuck on me, mostly on my waist, and thighs. I'm now more focused on getting fit and firm, and not so much concerned with my weight. I'm trying to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to my regular cooked diet, and I do T-Tapp exercises to build long, lean muscles to keep me strong. I need those with three kids to chase around. :)

Try dry brushing, that'll tighten up your loose skin as you obviously had lost a lot of weight (50 lbs).

I've had 3 c-sections in the last 8 years, and I think with diligence and patience, you can go back to having a flat tummy and abs. Just don't push yourself too hard in the beginning, it takes time for the c-section scar to heal. You don't want to have a separation in the beginning, that's super 'ouch'! It happened to a friend.

Not sure what to tell you, I'm a newbie myself. But check out 80/10/10 diet, since you said you're a vegetarian. I'm not, I'm only doing partial 80/10/10 w/ cooked food. The thing is that most vegetarians are still eating too much fat, that might be where you can improve on your diet. Also, maybe set your burn meter to sedentary, then add your workout calories burn in addition, maybe that would be a more accurate of calories burned.

:) hugs! Don't give up!
