Motivation Does Driving in a car burn weight? Nov 26 2008

Original Post by trhawley:

The 74 calories incudes the calories that you would have burned anyway and is probably not much different then what you burn sitting at a desk.

But yes driving does burn weight, it lightens the weight of your gas tank.

And your wallet at the minute!!

I have had this problem in the past also and i think i discovered what the problem is...

when i'm tired even if i dont think i am i think im hungry so i'll eat something but wont give myself anytime to realise i have eaten so i'll eat something else, my body is craving sugar for energy!! but the problem is i dont have anything in the house like chocolate or high in sugar even so i now make sure i have 8 hours a night... problems solved

CONGRATS!!

that is how i started and now i have just done a 10 mile run last weekend looking to do a marathon next year...

I would stick with trying to do 5k more regularly (you will have some days where you cant so it easily and others where you'll do it no probs) then when you feel you can go longer try it and then eventually 5k will be your minimum distance.

Try also doing it outside with a few hills thrown in... I find the fresh air is better

Cheers Guys

Although I couldn't of done it without some of the advice and support given from people like yourselves so keep it up!!

Just to answer some of your questions...

I think a friend of mine sent in some photos to them and they got into contact with me asking for photos and asked a few questions, they then asked to arrange for me to come and do a photo shoot

I originally weighed 266Ilbs, now 147 so a total lose of 119 whatever % that is??

Yeah I have been running a lot and really enjoy it, just put on my ipod and go! plus its free so you can do it anytime! although I'd like to know more about HIIT training, I do circuit training twice a week at the minute, is it similar to that?

I was also thinking of trying boxing? The way I understand it is if I carry on with my cardio and exercise in general and slowly add calories back into my diet until I find how many I can have before I put on I'll be on the road to success!

What I was thinking was giving myself a half a stone barrier to stay between say from 10st 7 to 11, (147 to 154) so when i get nearer 11 begin to look at what im eating again, does anyone do this already? if so how does it work for you?

Thanks Guys
