Thank you for the reply. I have no had any changes in my eating habbits. There is a chance that I am pregnant, but I have to wait until Saturday to take a test. I took one today but the Gyno said it would be too early, it was negative. If it were pregnancy, would the fact that It was making me feel sick mean that there should be enough Hormone in my blood to show up on a test?
Thanks again for the response, I really appreciate it! |

| Fitness | What to do if you HATE strength training?! | Aug 24 2008 02:50 (UTC) |

Thanks for the suggestions! You know, I used to do Tae Bo all the time, and loved it, so I may start that up again. What I have been doing most recently for strength training was the 6 Week Body Makeover by Michael Thurmond. One thing I HATE are long workouts so I hated that it took an hour. Basically you alternate days of upper and lower body, its 3 x's per week, and you count your reps down: 12 reps, 10 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps, 12 reps, and 12 reps. With three minutes resting in between. I am 24, 5'4 and 123 lbs. Thanks! |

Personally, my favorite drink is a Mojito, and they are only 150 calories! Or sometimes I will also get a Diet Coke and Light Rum, or a Gin and Diet Tonic. My rule of thumb is to try to keep it to one, and absolutley no more than two. |

Good idea on the fruit/vegtable juice! My personal goal is 115. I have a TINY bone structure and that weight would be perfectly healthy for me. But right now 8lbs seems almost impossible! I have also kicked around the idea of nutrisystem just to control my intake even further. Anyone out there have experience with this? |

Thanks for sharing - Speaking of Artificial Sweetners, did you notice a difference when you cut those out? I have a diet soda habbit, but it seems I am hearing more and more about how they can actually make you gain weight, so I am thinking about just switching to Sparkling Water? |

Thanks for the replies guys! I could definitely stand to change up my work out. I think I am going to try adding days at this point. Currently I work out 4, I am going to try to take it up to 5 and see what happens. 2 months ago I weight 132, and now I am down to 123, and I have to say what has made the biggest difference for me personally is eating less. I probably average 1500 calories but some days its 1200 and some days it 1600. I may have one day per week where its more like 1800-2000 on account of going out or something.Something that made a HUGE difference was cutting out my almost daily sugary coffee habbit. I took it down from a Nonfat White Mocha, to a Non Fat Mocha, and then I switched to house coffee with a tiny bit of nonfat milk, or maybe an iced Americano with cream, and I saw some weight come off right away! I love Cardio, but unfortunatley despise weights. :( I have to get over that! |

I am so sorry - believe me I have been there done that so many times. And I know what you mean about the mixed proud/guilt feelings about not purging. But you SHOULD be proud - good for you. I know for me, when I have those times there is nothing that can be said that will stop the shame spiral. All you can do is try not to beat yourself up, eat as normal as you can, and distract yourself with something that has nothing to do with food. Go shopping, or go to a movie - if you can get through that next day you will be back on track before you know it! |
