he doesnt eat teh greasy good stuff all the time. he has teh ability to indulge every now and then and not have the "all or nothing" mentality that i tend to have. on average it's 1600. and i am afraid he will go into the ED territory, which i am currently dealing with in various forms. he is beginning to feel bad if he doesnt get a work out in everyday or to feel guilty over eating certain things is not helping my efforts to get better. |

qmwillcand, i feel exactly like you did now!! i feel awful, but i wish he'd just eat more! he got to his goal of losing 20 pounds then lost 10 more on top of it in like 6 months!!! it takes me forever to lose weight, even thuogh im working out and eating right, and forgo all teh greasy good **** he eats! i guess i am jealous and the difference between men and women losing weight is just not fair :( i will def. have to have a talk with him! |

i hope so. i mean he is wanting to bulk up, but i am trying to get it in his head he needs to eat MORE CALORIES if he wants to gain muscle! |

the last thing i want to do is hurt his feelings. i think a lot of it has to do with me feeling insecure. we've been dating around 3 years so i dont knwo why i still feel so self consious around him. he will walk around with his shirt off and im sure any normal girl would be like "oh he's hot" but i just want him to put a shirt on! it's like a constant reminder of how thin he is! i probably weighs 10 more pounds than i do!!! |

thank you so much for the reply! i think we get it into our heads that we need to eat less to lose weight. eating more just seems the opposite. im a southern girl and i do love some good food....should my best bet be incorporating more fruits throughout the day or protein? |

don't give up!! you can do it! it's a pain in the ass sometimes, but don't ectively decide you're going to fall off the wagon. if you do, just enjoy your splurge and get back on. i mean come on, i think it's vitrually impossible to be an angel with a diet on your bday!! it's a special day to just relax and feel good. dont let one day of indulgence turn into days or weeks or months of it! we;ve all lost and gained and are trying to lose again! you can do it! feel better! |

hmm let me elaborate...i mean dont get me wrong, i LOVE that i can be in my cube that's bigger than anyone elses and hdie away when i want to, but i dunno. it's a smaller company and sometimes it's nice to stop and talk when i'm pretty much hidden away alllll day. there's hardly any natural light in here and i have a floor lamp and a desk lamp for light (really makes it hard to stay away when i come in from teh sunny outdoors...). I guess i just feel like a hermit for 90% of the day and need some interaction. oh and this job isnt something i want to continue with in the long run so i guess that has some impact! |

i really started to gain when i stopped weighing myself every day. i would have a cheat day and not want to get on the scale to own what i'd eaten. this became more and more frequent. gained back the weight, trying to lose it again now....and i've weighed myself each day since i started back! |

hi thanks for the reply. i should have put this in my original post...does it work to tone or shape the thigh muscles well? i already have a cardio routine and a diet plan in place. will i notice a difference by adding in the thigh master to my routine? |

thanks all for the great advice! newdays18, i definitely agree on the year plan for a big weightloss of 30-40 pounds! i worked out today and was more conscious of what i ate and it felt really good! |

fittygirl i have the same problem!! whenever i'm hung over i tend to jsut go crazy on all the foods i want to eat. i'll be the first to admit i use a hangover as an excuse to eat junk b/c that's all i want when im hungover! whenever i am, i try to limit my hangover cravings to just one meal that im craving...like a burger and fries and then eat better teh rest of the day....but i do have a problem with munching on stuff throughout the day....thank goodness im not hungover all the time!! LOL, for multiple reasons! |

i've found that, aside from the above logical explanation of lifting first, i HAVE to do mine first simply because after cardio, i'm worn out and have little to no motivation to lift weights for 10 mins, let alone 20-30! i'd much rather go back home after my cardio LOL! |

i am the same way!! ESPECIALLY after a vacation!!! i find it so hard to go back to routine eating and exercising....i reached my goal too and unfortunately have pretty much gained it all back shy of 5 pounds. i slipped back into old habits, munching, induling too much, and basically having a screw it attitude. it also depressed me b/c my boyfriend jumped on the health wagon and lost 30 pounds in more than half the time it wouldve taken me! for some reason, this really made me feel even worse about myself. i still try to eat healthy and try to exercise like i used to but i jsut dont have the motivation like i did before. i am somewhat obsessive over it and i wish not to be. it rules FAR too much of my life. i am just trying to do it day by day. i still binge on things and im learning what my trigger foods are (DORITOS and sugar...) and im trying to stay away from them, but it is hard. just one day at a time and don't expect for you to get to your goal weight in 2 or 3 months!! i would shoot for that and it would just set me up to fail! we can do this!! :) |

hello!! i am also 5'2"! i currently am at 145 (gained some weight back) and have a short term goal of 5 pounds to 140. CC said i should eat 1200 cals to reach this...i'm sorry but does any one else DISAGREE with this or is it just me? i dont want to eat just the base cal amount for a female!! i try to do cardio most days of the week to burn around 400 cals and lift weights about 2 times a week....currently i am trying to eat between 1350-1500 cals a day. how does that sound? |

just a thought, but i've started eating dinner later, maybe around 8 or 8:30ish...i know some can't eat that late, but for me, if i'm done eating around 9, i know it's already 9, so i dont really want to eat any more because im going to bed soon. if i get done eating at 7, i have about 2.5 more hours that im up and usually will rumage and snack the entire night!! |
