Wow, even if people on ebay or with garage sales can get away with selling, that's going to have a huge impact on stores that resell children's clothing. Ouch.
I mean, it's clear the problem it's meant to solve, but still... |

My husband and I are literally just about to start trying (as in, I have a pre-consultation meeting with my doctor on Monday, and will either go off the pill then or for February).

Last week, I went from 181 to 181.7. I think that some of that must have been water, because by Friday I was down to 181.2.
I need to get batteries for my Wii-Fit board, which doubles as my scale, so I don't have an exact weight to tell. I tried to estimate clothes weight at the fitness club here at work, and I think I might be approaching 180. I really hope I get five pounds off for my mini-goal by my birthday - dec 10. |

Up from 181 to 181.9 :(
This morning I have my 'equipment orientation' for the company fitness club (less stuff than a 'real' one, but right here, and much, much cheaper), so maybe I can reverse my slide. *sigh* |

| Health & Support | severe stomach pains.. please help | Oct 28 2008 19:47 (UTC) |

gi-jane has most of it if it is GERD - the only things I would add is that you should also try avoiding acidic foods (like tomatoes, citris fruits, etc) and try sleeping with your head somewhat elevated.
I've been on medication for my stomach for over a year and a half, and it was really not fun before I got on prilosec. (Until recently I was actually on stuff that was the same strength as the OTC.) I had pains in my chest, including ones that were nowhere near the esophagus, because the body gets confused. But I had stomach pains that nearly made me cry, as well. The acid problems were almost certainly started by stress. BUT, you want to visit a regular doctor, even if it was really bad acid stomach, because chances are that two weeks of prilosec won't be enough, based on my experiences. |

Last Week: 181.7 This week: 181 I really need to get back into exercise. :( We've been out of town a lot of weekends recently (with the attendent restaurant dining), and basically I've been very tired. Tough to motivate myself to work out. :( *sigh* Feels very trivial compared with actual injuries and what not and people are still finding ways to exercise.

Original Post by krilia: This week: 181.7 Again, continued problems at work, so not much in the way of working out, plus business type dinners (my husband owns his own small business), so more eating out. I'm hoping next week will be more of a drop, but at least I had something. (And... today might have been more of a drop if I hadn't had noodles cooked in chicken broth and a pickle last night. Yay, sodium. Ahem.) |

I use Aspartame (it's the artificial sweetener I think tastes the best), and have no qualms. However, to help you decide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspartame_contro versy Good luck with your decision. :) |

Last Week: 182.3 This week: 182.1
:P Last week, I had a problem at work that kept me late most of the week, so not really working out (and some eating out - I'm not waiting until I get home at 7 or 8 at night!), then a weekend out of town... Yeah, time to buckle down again, but at least I moved in the correct direction. |

I'm not able to drink pop very often, because I have an acid stomach. So when I indulge, I want to have a REAL Mountain Dew, not a diet one. |

I'll take a look at my other measurements when I get home, but I've now measured my waist at as small as 34.25, which is definitely a little down. :D You do have a doctor visit planned for your ankle, right linz? |

mrsmao, we're almost at the same number for weight (you're farther along than I am - congrats on that big 25 pounds lost!)
Last Week: 183.6 Today: 182.3, for a lost of just over a pound. Woot! :)
Spent the weekend at my mother's. She has odd ideas about dieting, and I really am afraid she's not eating enough sometimes. :( She knows about this website and how it can help her, but I doubt she'll come, because she's on a dial up connection.

Last Week: 184.6 Today: 183.6 Woo! I had a spike over the weekend from my period that I'm just starting to come down from, but I'm pretty thrilled to be at 15 pounds lost, more or less, with eight to go to my first mini-goal. My waist is tending more towards 34.5 (instead of 35), so I think there's hope for my non-number goal - to get into a red and black fancy dress I bought on sale by my birthday in December. My rough measurement of the narrowest part of the dress was 32 inches, so you never know. :) |

I can get Stevia in green packets, in my grocery's healthy and organic food section. I like the taste of it, but it's definitely more challenging to stir into tea, for example.

I feel like I'm losing weight via lathe or something. It seems most of the time to be from the top down, so my figure right now looks pretty horrible. (underbust - 36, waist - 35, largest part of hips - 47) But I think that from my natural waist up I look fine. *sigh* |

Probably one of the worst pirate names I've gotten: Cap'n Doris Greasepalms
I play Pirates of the Burning Sea (an MMORPG - like World of Warcraft) and I'm a French Naval Officer, Lt. Rebecca Savard. |

Grand Total : 112.6 I love my Wii-Fit, and I recommend www.wiialerts.com to get one. You'll pay a little more because of shipping, but it beats driving around town hoping you find one. Took me... a week to be fast enough, I think? |

Original Post by ajazzymama: I've thought about funding my dad to take part in one of those; my maiden name is Fish, and it would be cool to see which Fish families we're actually related to, since there are a number of unrelated lines. Unfortunately, they can only test men, so I would have to have my dad or brother do it. |

| Young Calorie Counters | As a teen, what do you do to EXERCISE? | Sep 17 2008 18:18 (UTC) |

I'm not a teen now. :)
In college, I was on a campus that was all in one area; no driving except to get into town for Walmart or food runs. So, I was walking around campus with a backback full + a laptop. Oh, and I lived on the third floor of a building and my boyfriend living on the third floor of the building next to it. :) My first three months of college, I lost 10 pounds due to poor diet and all that exercise. While that was bad, I sadly have rebounded from that rather too well. ;) (I'm 31 and 185 pounds. Eek.) |

My dad's family is mostly English on his dad's side. (The last name goes back there, anyway.) The same is probably true of my mom's dad's family.
My maternal grandmother's last name was Ellison, which I think is actually... Irish? And then there are Lambert, which I suspect is French. My paternal grandmother, however, was 100% Hungarian/Serbian, with both my great-grandparents being immigrants. |

I've decided I'm satisfied with the exactness of my Wii-Fit's scale functions, and it has two advantages: I can weigh myself at home and thus without clothing variance, and it's more likely I'll be weighing in at the same time.
So, my new baseline weight is 184.6 for today. (Obviously, I can't relate it to my last weigh-in, but it is definitely lower than any I've had on the Wii-Fit, so yay! :)) |

I'm eating 1250 + whatever extras I earn by exercising. (So, say I do 15 minutes of walking + 30 minutes of aerobics, that's around 300 more calories.) I'm 5'2" and trying to lose another 50 pounds at this point, though I have a 'mini-goal' of a weight of 175 lbs, which is about 10 pounds off.
Is that the kind of info you wanted? |

I'm not a weight-gainer, but I happened to see this on the 'overview' page. I would suggest your stomach pain might actually be due to your stress over the whole incident. I know that my stomach has responded that way. |
