That was my problem in college. I was so tired I didn't excersise much. I got around that by having a tired work-out... if I was tired I would cut my eliptical time in half and maybe go for a walk. I big part of the freshman 15 is also because of eating and drinking. Avoid alcohol and watch what you eat. If your dorm or whatever has a kitchen, try to cook your own food instead of eating out... and if you eat out, most campuses have a lot of low-fat option. My university had a salad bar, a sandwich bar, a wrap station, and other stuff liket that.

I had a similar problem. I lived with my boyfriend's grandparents for a while and I would tell his grandma I was dieting and she would be happy for me, but then put these huge fatty meals in front of me. I don't eat meat and the rest of the family did... so I knew how much she was making for me and then if I didn't eat it all she would get mad and talk about how she didn't know why she even bothered to cook when we weren't going to eat. It made things really hard. In the end I gave up until I moved out... but now I relize it would have been better to try to cut my calories the rest of the day and done more excersising. How old are you?

Mine is the same... I am cooking healthy food at home... but he still gets deep friend tacos at jack in the box every chance he gets... and dips them in ranch. After work I have trouble getting him to excersise with me... we go on walks together sometimes though.

Weight Loss any others needing to lose over 150 pounds? Jul 05 2008

I am 20 and am about 310 pounds with a goal of 140. I've tried diets and exercise but never actually put forth enough effort... and I'm tired of being overweight and unhealthy. My ankles, knees, and back are always in pain... I want to be healthy. I am so glad I found this site. Anyone who wants to add me as a friend can. I would love to have someone to help keep me motivated. We can swap journal comments and keep each other motivated.
