hi there! can i join you guys? it's so good to know i'm not alone..me too, used to have an eating disorder for the past three years of my life, but recovered, gained weight more than i wanted to and now eating healthy, exercising, but can't lose a pound! it upsets me knowing how easy it was for me to lose 4 pounds in a week by cuting food and meals, which was very unhealthy and stupid, and now no matter how i increase my metabolism rate or eat alot of veggies and fiber and stuff i can't lose anything ..UGGGHHHHH so, my stats.. 16 yrs, 5ft2 lw:88 lbs hw:145 before ed just 3 years ago cw: i stopped weighing during recovery a few months ago at 105 lbs..but i know i gained enought to make me above 113 lbs.. target weight: 105 lbs i used to look good and feel even better not that i hate my body or wake up everyday thinking of nothing but lossing weight, of course not, but i only want to solve this mystery!! how can i lose those lbs! why? i'm medium built and mascular due to alot of cardio and cycling.. please anyone? just any ideas or tips? my current calorie intake is about 1400 cals with the exercise..i walk daily for about an hour, cycling occassionally now about 30 mins every couple days and do some aerobics each week.. |

hi i wanna join too! i'm 16, 5ft2, and about 112 lbs..i wanna lose those 12 lbs... problem is..I CAN'T.. i tried all the possible ways..exercising makes me burn calories but gain a lot of muscles=weight cutting back calories leads my body to starvation mode, since i was an anorexic for about 3 years,,,and i only cut about 300 cals or so upping calories makes me gain weight AS WELL gosh plz any advice? i really dunno what to do!! i'm really mascular, but i don't like it, i wanna look smaller..even lose just some pounds!! |

hi guys. i'm back from the hospital, been there for 4 days.. so, things got really bad after my last post, a week ago, i couldn't eat or drink anything without throwing it up...even my vitamins, so of course i was almost dead, not to mention how my stomach was hurting all day long..and so i went to the hospital where they "arrested" me till today. doing what? tube feeding me after a major stomach "washing" which is, not letting any food or water in for 2 days..surprisingly i was better. they were injecting me vitamins and fluids to my veins at least 10 times aday...where i stopped counting. so today i'm back and feeling well enough to sit on the computer..today i ate about 1300 cals, mostly fluids and yogurt...and that's the doctors recommendation for me ..TO ACTUALLY EAT VERY LITTLE in order not to tire off my body in digestion, well of course THIS doctor doesn't know about my ed since i look totally normal now.. tomorrow i'll be having around 1000 cals because i'll be fasting half the day in order to get a heart test...wish me luck! i really can't handle any more damaged organs right now...i'm feeling ****. sorry. did you guys check my profile? i updated my story!! hope everyone is doing MUCH better than i am. have a great day. bye~ |

hey peanut butter...i'm 16yrs, 5ft2 , 25 cm for my upper arm, 68 cm for my waist...so no honey, you're not huge anywhere, so don't worry! umm, bear with me, but i'm curious about how much is your goal weight? have a great day! ughh..had to cancel the audition for the dance class in order to go to the hospital, but ended up going there before lunch anyway! it went like this.. the doctor weighed me, 100 lbs, so lost 5 lbs in a week? no way, probably from throwing up last night i lost lots of water, anyway, my mother didn't buy it and will be feeding me more, the doctor said that i have a digestive problem, not to scare you off but he thought i had cancer...i don't, but my problem is rather as dangerous..my acidity levels are very high, low sugar level, and some damages in the liver and intestines..from too much laxatives, that's a good reason why nobody should put themselves into this danger... so he gave me tons of vitamins and medicines and I WILL BE TUBE FED next month if i don't get better...he also gave me alist of food i should avoid, and advised me of eating soft stuff, which are easily digested..NO IDEA.. i'm screwed up. |

hey check my profile! i have my whole story there.. abit long though.. what i'm having today... breakfast: 350 cals yogurt+plums+raisins+orange juice snack:300 cals wheatables+yogurt+plums+2 tsps pb lunch: 800 cals 1 banana with pb+dates+ricotta cheese slice +raisins dinner: 200 cals mini hot dog with ww bread going to the hospital today, to get some tests and stuff, coz i've been having a weird headache with no reason, blackouts alot and my teeth hurt :( last night mom called the doctor i'm seeing today and explained to him what was happening, funny enough he said i have a problem in my metabolism and that my body stopped absorbing properly, like on and off, either too much or nothing at all..bc, i have the worst bloating ever and the fullest stomach i couldn't push food down my throat anymore..it was bad..i was just eating my second cookie before bed but couldn't swallow, so i stopped.. minutes later my stomach was hurting like crazy, my mouth smelled acidic -that's why my teeth hurt-and i ended throwing up EVERYTHING i had yesterday...not digested! since then my face is deadly yellow, my stomach still hurts and i was unbelievably dehydrated.. this morning however, i had the strength to eat breakfast, some vitamins and check my mail and post here! going to the hospital after lunch..my family is freaking out again and my mom is like" it's all your fault, should have never trusted you..were you on diet pills? or overexercising?!" I NEED GOD'S HELP TO MAKE HER STOP.. anyways, wish me luck! coz my mom says he's gonna force me to stay in the hospital till he figures me out.. |

okay, i'm out of the 'first weight gain on stomach" club to the "SECOND HUGGE WEIGHT ON MY HIPS' seriously, i'm getting HUGE on my hips and this time it can't be bloating..it's real weight and i hate to think it's gonna stay... my family is sorry for me, i overheard my dad and sis last night -accidently-talking about my weight..ugghh-don't they ever think of anything else?-anyway, he was giving her an example of bad diet or something.. dad: see where your sis got herself?losing all that weight and then putting it on all back in weeks? and now she can't stop eating.. sis: yeah, well, i'll never go down the same path, so don't worry, i love my food and my body really...i don't mind toning up a bit though...but really, dad. you should do something about her diet, if she continues eating that much, she'll be overweight again...mom should really stop feeding her! she'll become huge! SERIOUSLY. how about THAT for self esteem...i slept crying yesterday and decided i won't be eating a thing blah blah....but then if i want to lose weight, i'll do it the healthy way to really keep it off. i don't want to listen to what my family says anymore. i'm sick. breakfast:550 cals orange juice+frozen yogurt+banana with 2tbsps pb. snack: 500 cals pistacho frozen yogurt+plums+raisins+orange juice lunch: 500 cals shrimps with salad+mango+green tea dinner? 600 cals cookies+grapefruit juice+yogurt before bed snack: 300 cals plums+ apricots+1 tbsp peanut butter :) chemistry + dancing+physics classes till 11 pm, 2 hours and a half each.. ohh.taken pics of me yesterday before i went out for lunch! tell me what you think... after classes today i went and had a new haircut before going to the gym(burned 300 cals)..stupid! but had no other time..anyway, it's now shorter and straighter and i really like it!!! so today had 2500 cals average, burned 300 so i have 2200 cals net, what do you think? is cutting down on cals will help my body to maintain? or gain as it'll switch back to starvation mode? something else, how come at some point all of you guys lose weight on eating so high and i don't? i'm worried bc i think my body is still in starvation mode! |

hello guys! how is everybody doing? i'm doing great! so, last night i went out for some shopping and everywhere GUYS WERE CHECKING ME OUT!!! never before since a whole year! mom says coz i look more like a teengirl now than a 12 year old about months ago..oh well.. anyway i bought some wheatables crackers, cereal, dried fruits, cheese and turkey..what do you think? what i'm eating today.. breakfast: 350 cals special k with dried fruits and raisins + 7 wheatables+skimmed milk and honey snack: 250 cals wheatables with milk+ 4 hazelnuts+1 smoked turkey breast slice 2nd snack: 350 cals hazelnuts+raisins+dates lunch: 460 cals 2 slices thin n crispy veggie pizza *going out again today!*+ fruit juice no idea for later on eating, but i'll update when i do! so busy today..it's weekend for me, but i have tons of stuff to do..physics homework, russian study, cycling for 1.5 hours, dance class training.. mom got me a couple of dance studio names, but there's an audition to get in so i must exercise hard now...mom says that one of them don't take more than 100 lbs for 5ft2 girls! NOOO!!! why is this happening?! what's wrong with 103 lbs 5ft2 girls? 3 lbs for god's sake..am i fat or what?

okay, this is really weird, i have and ed but recovering and got my period after a year of missing it, and now when i get it i gain weight but my STOMACH WILL BE FLATTER than normal??? even though i'd get water retention and everything and i don't noramlly have a very flat stomach??? i'm 16, 5ft2 and 100 lbs |

okay, here's what this is all about..have anyone been reading my former posts? at all? i don't eat infront of my family, nothing but breakfast and night snacking, coz my mom is afraid and thinks i'm binging eating more than everyone else, that's why she said that i've put on tons of fat..and that is just so disappointed, i thought she was going to say i look better...but well that's her way of saying i am. it's not like she wants me under eat, but only what she gives me, breakfast, late night meal and sometimes lunches when she's not at work, and still that's above 1500 cals as she adds tons of oils and butter and nuts etc into everything i eat also, she makes sure, when i do eat i take a large portions..no matter how bloated i'd get...so, as i know i should eat more than 1500 cals, i eat behind her, when i go out or when SHE is out, see why it's hard to eat in the car? thanks for the suggestion though, maybe i'll try to get her to let me get a cape and go by my own to my classes..one day! and i'm taking classes in English,french, Russian, chemistry, physics arts and dancing! i don't go to school so i take private classes in everything i should be studying. i know i gotta change the studio, so many sick looking girls, i told my mom and she's gonna look for aother one soon!! it's crazy how for 5ft2 till 5ft4 they don't take above 100 lbs. stupid.i'll miss my friends though, and lela! hey lela, where did you go??!! you haven't posted except ones!!lol what i'll eat today: breakfast:350 cals -special k w hazelnut, raisins, dried dates, peaches and apricot w skimmed milk and honey snack: 250 cals -brownies ~i'm baking them to get the chance of eating it real warm yum! lunch:150 cals -1 grilled fish that's what i know what mom will give me, no idea what's for dinner or night snacking..no classes today! i get to eat whenever i like! thanks for all your replies! i really appreciate it, good to see someone motivating me to eat more! ~take care

hey! I'm back home..listen guys, the classes i have are not at school, but in different places! so they don't really know whether i have other classes before or after! i also can't believe that if they were at school kids will have to go 5-6 hours no eating! but i really can't change the schedule, coz my parents are the ones who drive me there, coz it's very far away, and THEY can't change their work schedules either to fit any new ones...it's not like i DO LIKE not eating or anything, i do freak out if i don't eat anything for 3-4 hours, but HONESTLY GUYS I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! i DO NOT want to relapse, coz i look at my old pics and i know i look awful and sick..i do not want to be back there..my parents have given me so much trust which i can't fail, they trusted me for getting better and taking good care of myself and my health..i'm happy that they really trust me, how can i fail them? coz i know they'd do anything to see me smile truly again and beat my illness..and if they don't really KNOW how to encourage me instead of triggering me, that's fine, i'll cope with it, they're no psychiatrists and it's enough to me that i know they love me... and again, i do have bad days as well, who doesn't? but i really try to see the positive stuff from recovery and hang on to it. this forum is wonderful, and you guys are really helpful and supportive! i'm sorry if any of my posts are triggering to some or aren't as motivating as yours...i'm really sorry, i didn't realize that! i won't be posting again but on this forum to see everybody's progress, i don't want to make you angry at me, and i'm not upset by the way, i know you guys are being supportive and just giving your advice, which is amazing. by the way i decided to start this recovery thing after i've been reading this forum.. a REAL result of your motivation. i really really thank you guys, this probably saved my life to know that i'm not alone in this and there is somebody else in this world that know what i'm going through...it was the only thing that gave me hope to get better, get my life back and live life! sorry sorry sorry this took soooo long! wish everyone all best! good luck and have a great day.. bye. hello there! how is everybody doing? today, i'm having two classes in a row! starting 11:15 am till about 7 pm..so i won't be having any snacks or lunches coz they don't allow it..EVERYTHING IS PUSHING ME TO RELAPSE. I was just thinking, mom stopped buying high cals food, she says i'm fine and healthy and FATTER than before, my dance class won't take me in coz i nedd to lose weight, my classes are all in funny times and i'm not allowed to eat anythin for more than half the day! by the way, as i still go in the kids' charts, i'm at a healthy weight and even if i got down to 94 or 92 i'm still healthy! i can't believe it..so even before recovery and at my lowest i was healthy?? breakfast: 600 cals -dried peach&apricot special k with hazelnuts and raisins + skimmed milk +2 cookies snack:100 cals -fruit juice -no added sugar dinner:500 cals -plan -1/2 grilled chicken breast+ 2 cookies that's WAY LOW..but i was unbelieveably stuffed for some reason and couldn't eat another thing, i tried to force food into my mouth but i got nauseas and stopped :( mom says i might be sick that's way i have no appetite these days.. BAD BAD ME..couldn't stop myself from cycling today and ended up burning 200 calories...am i relapsing?! |

hi! it's been a while, hmm, big decision, i'm ditching the scales for at least 1 month! it's just so scary to keep seeing strange numbers all the time and get controlled by numbers! now, it's much of relief.. so what did i eat today? breakfast: 250 cals apricot&peaches special k + hazelnuts+raisins+skimmed mik and honey snack:350 cals white chocolate + apple juice lunch: 350 cals 1 mango + honey popcorn dinner:400 cals 1 grilled fish + 1 mango+ dates late night snack:400 cals cookies! *i made them!!* mom says i should open a bakery, i'm always BAKING SOMETHING..and before recovery, i baked and wouldn't even taste it, which drove my family crazy..now, well, i eat more than they do! feels so strange to be eating more than everybody else when they are actually,... um... fat?? seemd like soo much food! and still only 1800 cals! AND i exercised and burned about 250 cals..i'm trying so desperatly to maintain or lose at least 5 lbs to get to the dance studio! UGH. any ideas for maintainence? i'm 16, 5ft2, and about 102 lbs...also, very active and exercise *cardio* at least 1 hour a day on average.. hope everyone else is doing well! have a great day there!! |

i have a question now...my weight gain rate is slowing down to 2 lbs a week on eating 2000-2500 cals and some exercise..does this mean that i can maintain now at 1500-2000 cals and not make my body believe it's starving? in other words, when should i know that my metabolism is fixed and i can cut back cals to maintain ? i'm now at a healthy weight and don't like to gain anymore.. |

hi there! today's food was very comfortable...very calorie dense and much less in volume, which is not giving me any bloatings..i'll be making some meringue biscuits tonight!yum! breakfast:500 cals -skimmed milk+5 prunes+3 slices of ww bread with cheese snack: 360 cals icecream+ 3 chocolate bitesize wafers lunch: 800 cals dried fruits(raisins+dates)+ 1 slice fillet grilled fish(really small)+1 slice ww bread with honey(very yummy!) snack: 130 cals 1 mango so yeah, that's 1800 cals till now, but i guess they will be up after some meringue biscuits..what do u guys think of my diet? any advice? yesterday i went clothes shopping, and despite gaining over 10 lbs already, i'm still size 0...so WEIRD, i thought i'd be much a bigger size and that made me anxious, but then i was trying the pair of jeans same size as my old ones and they fit perfectly, my mom says that i gained muscles and not fat and that muscles weigh more and look smaller than fat..hmm, maybe she does have an idea after all..ohh, and the powder milk is finished! i had it all 3 tbsps a day as told and she said she won't be buying anymore.. also, i uploaded some pics of me just taken two days ago..what do u think of my progress? how much do u think i weigh??!! |

so confused right now!! ahh bear with me...last night i had laxxatives which i do rarely, and this morning i went alright but then weighed myself and i was 4 lbs more than last week!! and i'm only taking 2000 cals a day! is it possible that it's all real weight, that quick?? i'm thinking it's one of four things.. -muscles: due to my intensive exercise daily as i burn 500 cals -water weight: due to water retention from laxative and it'll come doown hopefully.. -stuck in starvation mode : my body still doesn't trust me and saving every little bit unlikely -i'm taking lots of cals: maybe 2000 cals net is too much for my body?? what SHOULD I DOOO??? increase my cals? cut down the exercise a little? weigh in after a couple of days to let water weight go?? what do u think is the problem? has anyone been there? i don't want to keep gaining weight!!! okay..this just in.. i had a problem with my teeth for about a couple of weeks and my mom is a dentist so she gave me some medicines and is taking me to the hospital tomorrow..AND they told her after the minosurgery(i have a small blood pocket between my premolars)that i'll only have to drink and eat the tiniest chewless stuff for at least a week !! my mom freaked of course so she is going to the market today to get some *extremely high cals chewless stuff* i have some questions.. how long does it take to get rid of water weight and how far can it weight? up to 10 lbs for example??! if i'm maintaining on 2000 cals net will i lose weight on less or would my body shift to starvation mode and gain?? if my ideal weight for my height, age, frame..etc is (93 lbs) and i wanted to lose weight now i'm around 100 lbs, how can i do it healthily and without shifting to starvation mode?? please help! checked most forums but none seems to fit my problems!! |

i'm having some troubles today :( my mom gave me some money to go buy some clothes...which is not cool with me. i seem to be having some bloating these days and definitely don't want to go and see that i'm much a bigger size than last time i shopped back when i was thin! GOD THIS IS HORRIBLE!!! SO TRIGGERING!!!!! also, all my family is out tonight excpet me who excused coz i'm VERY bloated and look like a pregnant girl...and i did put my clothes on and got ready and just tried to suck my stomach in and everything but then at the very last minutes i noticed my sisters staring AT MY STOMACH!!! they were kind though and didn't comment but i felt so embarressed and changed into my PJs.."i'm constipated, bloated and have stomach pains" i stated casually and went straight to my bedroom and then they were off.. urgh. i tried to tell myself that it'll get better..but couldn't bring myself to be stared at by everybody in the mall! " she does have a big stomach there, she should lose some weight coz she looks funny" god i'd rather starve and die! oops, ED-ish..sorry, i still use some thoughts llike that sometimes..why am i rambling way too much? anyways... i had 2500 cals today, burned 600 cals so the net is 1900ish ..okay, here's the thing , on the maintainence forum, 5ft2 girls maintain at 1600 cals + any added exercise cals..but most are adults, if i want to maintain how much should i take?? |

so tomorrow is going to be like this..with some walking and dancing :) breakfast: 350 cals -fruit and fiber cereal with skimmed milk and honey+ 1 ww toast with cheese snack: 100 cals -fruit juice lunch: 400 cals pizza! with mozzarilla cheese and lots of veggies! night snack: 500 cals Mc sundae with caramel syrup+ fruit juice |

hello there guys! i had a very good day of 2000 cals net. i exercised and burned 600 cals, so i had brownies to replace that...very calorie dense and small in size perfect for unbloatness! i'm going to try and weigh myself on saturday...dunno, i just don't like the scales anymore! but i'm doing this for a very good reason. i have to lose weight in order to get into the dance class! do u guys believe this?? the teacher told me that i need to lose at least 5 lbs to get in! that just made me feel so bad ..angry, confused, disappointed and a hell other things... i want so bad to get in...so i thought i can be skinny and healthy with eating enough and everything..and since i dunno how much i weigh now, i want to know..i just hope it's not very high! i don't like to think i'm gaining too fast...if i'm ,like 100 lbs, then i should be less than 95! if i'm 98 lbs it would be alot easier to be around 92 in no time..so i'm moving from the weight gaining to maintaining!! and actually, 93 lbs isn't very low for me, i'm so short and small framed, so it's not like i'm bony or anything!! don't worry guys, i'm very much over this ED..i'm just trying to be the least average so it'll be easier for me to maintain on the long run...so if i'm gaining on 2000 cals how much should i take to maintain? |
