I use oxy clean which is bleach free and it sometimes causes white spots like bleach. I don't have any suggestion for you other than to change soap and see if that helps.

On another note be prepared to replace this washing machine after 5 years. I had one of those front loaders. Paid a fortune for it and it was junk in 5 years. The boot on those machines wears out. Before you know it water has leaked onto the computer board and made your thousand dollar machine a pile of scrap metal. I suggest you sell it as used on Craigs list and purchase a new one. If your replacing clothing anyway you will be ahead to cut your losses now.

The front loading washing machine actually almost put Maytag out of business.

Day one of my "back on track" plan went ok. I had 1509 calories. I would like to do better around 1300 per day. I fell into the Halloween candy trap last night and ended up eating two tootsie pop suckers. So my goal today is to stay out of my kids candy.

Thanks for the welcome Lynn. I hope so badly that I can have a deficit and some weight loss this week. I need to get to the gym as well.

Thanks to everyone  for the support. It helps just reading your posts

Ummm CPTbunny's post was not offensive at all. Your boobs can make you look bigger than you are sometimes. I'm not huge (34C) but if i wear like a babydoll top or a dress that isn't tight anywhere but my boobs, yeah, I look bigger than I am. I know I'm not as fat as I'm coming off to be, so I try to buy clothes that flatter my figure

How can you speak for everyone???? It WAS offensive to me. I don't look fat because of my breasts. I have a gorgeous figure and everything I wear looks good. I got it from my mama. So to say that women look fat because their breasts are large is insulting to me. If you look fat in certain clothing then that's too bad for you. To generalize all large breasted women is insensitive.

Where I come from mountains are at least 7,000 feet high.  Anything lower is called a hill.  That puts the appalachian mountains in the hill catagory.  Yet the appalachians are considered one of the great mountain ranges in the world.  To me, hill, is not an insult.  It is a comparative statement of fact and I mean no insult by the word.

Next time your friend disparages your more modest mountains just look her in the eye with a smile and say "the highest summit doesnt always have the best view".

This is win right here.

By the way, C cup is no where near small or flat. In fact it's more on the larger side. I'm a DD cup and I wish I was a B, I bet your friend does too, but instead of just being mature, she's jealous and a bit bitter about those who do have it. Seems a bit petty, imo.

I find this to be among one of the most offensive posts I've read. Sadly I've seen it before. I'm a DD and nowhere near looking fat. I suppose I should put this in the other thread.

I discovered this LAST year. THIS year I have two very very large gardens filled with my favorite veggies and herbs. Only I'm going to have too much squash. They sold me squash seeds for zucchini seeds. UGGHH two LONG rows of  crookneck squash.

PG Try planting your own veggies and canning and freezing them. Even if you don't have a lot of space you can grow them in pots etc.

It's not about fault. It's about cause and effect. You can't effect a change without determining the actual cause.

a lot of people are asleep

Agreed. I never accepted the crap I was "fed" as a child either. I know what it is to feel trapped in a situation. I believe everyone is responsible for their own behaviour. It makes me sad to see the actions of an adult reaped by the child. As maybe it was in our situations. But it was for the better. I knew I NEVER would allow my children to be raised the way I was. I wish everyone would wake up.

Boys and girls need much guidance in how to behave in relationships and how to not settle for mediocrity. Some couples just don't even try to work out differences.

It is her fault that she never developed or evolved beyond her upbringing, but her upbringing made it very difficult to overcome certain teachings.

Well, whose fault is it? I could tell you stories about the way I was raised and preach what I was taught, but will spare you my sob stories and just say one word "Cult". So I was brought up VERY screwed up with crazy ideals about what was and what was not right.

You know what, I grew up and became a woman with my own mind and my own ideals about what was right and what wasn't. I knew what kind of man I wanted to marry and the kind I didn't. I simply married the kind I wanted. I get so tired of hearing that women are not strong enough to overcome this or that. Give me a break! We have a mind the same as a man has a mind. We just need to use it and develop a backbone.

I'm not trying to degrade your mother or any that are in certain circumstances, but where is the line drawn.

BTW I'm a slob too.

It's not only women who leave men, men leave women just as often. I work in the court system and I see couples split up every day. It's pretty even between men and women filing the complaint. It is not just young couples divorcing. I see couples who have been married from 1-50 years divorcing. The reasons for divorce are usually irreconcilable difference, but I live in a small town and more often than not it's another man or women. The cheat factor.

I've been married 15 years and have had 4 children. I could not imagine being single and raising 4 kids. Children need a stable home life with two parents. The havoc that divorce reaps on the children is irreversible. I see it every day and see these nasty divorce cases where the kids are used as bargaining chips. I also see these kids in the community and the change in them is remarkable after a divorce.

I don't think some of you are being fair to women here. We have our own minds and if we make a poor choice for a husband then it is a poor choice and they are responsible for their own actions. Please, to blame society for your poor choice is pathetic in my eyes. The person you marry is the most important decision you make in life. I certainly wouldn't blame society for any ones drug use, crimes etc. Why is the choice of a spouse automatically the fault of society and the "ideals" we place on our young girls. Men divorce women everyday. Who's fault is that. Usually when women/men remarry there are problems in that relationship as well. The grass us never greener, unless there is abuse of course. Why don't they learn from their mistakes?

I talk with my children about the importance of marriage and relationships. BOYS and girls need guidance from parents and adults as to who they should and should not get into relationships with.

Marriage is work and not a fairy tale. There are days that I just don't want to be around my husband. There are days I don't want to be around my mother or my children. However I would never divorce my mother or children. Relationships take work and compromise. Something that most adults don't want or refuse to do when times get tough.

America wouldn't have the childhood obesity problem if parents all over the US were feeding their children correctly. With that said I also have to point out that you have no idea what the kid actually had for breakfast. Maybe the mom fed her child a hot bowl of oatmeal or eggs and whole grain toast with juice freshly squeezed from an orange before leaving the house. How long was the commute? Maybe the kid gets fussy on the train and the dry cereal is a treat. I would pack dry cereal for a snack when my kids were little too. If you don't have kids then you really shouldn't judge until you've walked in a mothers shoes, believe me you'll find all types of tricks to keep a child occupied during long trips etc. The lollipop could be as well but there are safety issues with a sucker on a stick and all the pushing etc.

I've got 4 kids and none of them are overweight even the slightest. My kids have had all types of junk food in the house at any given time. I also have healthy snacks and fix well balanced meals. I don't forbid junk food, because then you could be at risk of them binging on it when they can get it. It's the "want what I can't have" that I want to avoid.

I do have a problem with a few of the parents in our community who have children who are very obese and the only thing I see these kids eat is junk. One little boy was at therapy for his weight problem and after therapy the mother would take him to the deli area and get him a huge milkshake and cookies etc. I could have choked the stupid itch.

Now the comments you have made about the child molestation are completely invalid. Where you personally involved in the case, Do you know for sure that he was not being exploited for money and the parents were doing him wrong. Your just assuming without all the facts that he is guilty, as said in an earlier thread he was acquitted. Do you know the legal system well enough to know that a prosecutor would not drop charges on the whim of a parent and would only due so if he/she could not make a strong case and knew a jury would not convict based on evidence. YOUR JUST RUNNING OFF AT THE MOUTH, but please if you have inside knowledge of the prosecutors case let us know. Then the prosecutor would be no better than the child molester and should be prosecuted in light of your superior knowledge of the situation.

Please give us all the facts you have and not just your know it all superior and grandiose behavior. After all you are the expert on who is and who is not a "real human being". s/c

Fitness Knots in back and shoulders.... Jun 08 2009
14:26 (UTC)

Do you have health insurance? I too have knots in my shoulder and back. I have delt with it for almost 2 years and finally talked to my doctor about them.

It was a big mistake to let the issue go because now I've got burning/cold tingling sensations in the shoulder, actually the pain burning, tingling etc has been going on for almost a year.

My doctor up me on pain pills, muscle relaxers etc., but they did not take care of the pain, just masked it for a while. I stayed on him and he sent me to physical therapy. I've been taking therapy for a month but it has not helped much. The therapist says I have a rib out but has not been able to get it back in place. That is not my major issue but is attributing to it. I have now been referred to an orthopedic surgeon and have my first appointment today at 3.

So I'm saying don't let the pain go on too long, do something about it early and you may be able to get it under control before it gets worse and to the point of serious problems, and serious medical bills due to added tests.

Well I've always wondered why so many women get upset over porn. Personally I think it is insecurity on the womans part. I don't see harm in it, I think it can spice up sex life and I could care less if my hubby watches or spends money on it. The more you cut your man off ladies the more he will tend to wander. I say watch it with him and enjoy the fact that it's you he's with. Women (IMO) are WAYYYY to uptight about sex. Sex is one thing LOVE is another. Especially in the male world. I'm not trying to generalize men but the majority of men can easily separate the two.

Maybe if some of the uptight women would loosen up on the sex subject the men in their lives wouldn't wander so much, but if your not into sex and can't give your man what he needs your going to be at high risk for affairs and him having to sneek around to watch porn. He's going to sneak and do it when your unaware of it anyway.

I have so many female friends who complain about sex and only give it up on occasion. WHY????

Having sex and him watching porn are totally different. If taking away his porn causes him to wander then he's got issues. Just because a woman may not like their man putting their sexual energy towards another woman does not mean they are not screwing like rabbits any other time, FYI.

See that's where your misconception is. If he want's to do it then the percentage is on the high end that he's going to do it behind your back. If you want a child to restrict have a child. If you want to restrict your adult partner then your not partners equally and maybe need to get a dog to control.

And what type of sexual energy is he putting toward anther woman. I thought we were talking about the movies. I believe the sexual energy will be coming her way, unless she is not giving it up. Do you really know what screwing like rabbits means. If you do then they arn't going to have much time for the movies.

What is too much sex anyway? If your partner wants it 7/24/365 then thats the norm. Either satisfy them or suffer the repercussion.

Is this a really really small town? If so then chaperoning may be the best choice, if not then may I suggest you get more involved and coordinate age appropriate social events for your son and his peers. Check with the school and get on the PTO board and start having dances for children your sons age, say like 4, 5, 6 grades only.

I have 4 boys ages 22-9 so I know your fears about your son hanging out with older boys, BUT you cannot shield him from everything and it is really not fair to make him miss out on social activities. My son goes to the movies with girls and boys his age (13) and to the local bowling alley,  game rooms, etc. They go in groups and when there are dances he goes to all of those too. It is very age appropriate as we have a large group of parents who plan and work at giving our kids good social skills while keeping it age appropriate at the same time. I am very frank and honest with my boys about drinking, drugs, sex etc. That is the best prevention in the long run.

I think you may be making a bigger mistake by forbidding these activites all together. Everyone wants what they can't have. Believe me if they are going to get into trouble they won't need a teen dance to do it. That is why I suggest you taking the lead and organizing productive events for them to keep them busy.

Well you know you can only take so much, like for instance at work I'm the client and the sales rep leaves me an email asking me what is going on with a project. Well, if you would call your co worker or communicate with her I would not have to REPEAT myself to you idiots over and over and over again, use some common sense already. If you have been out of the office for a few days DON'T email the client about a project that you totally screwed up BEFORE checking the status from your co workers. Mind you this is not the FIRST, SECOND OR THIRD time I have asked these clowns to communicate with each other and save me from repeating myself over and over again.

And so your the tball coach, why do you continue to email me over and over and over about stupid things. Like " One of the t ball parents called me and asked me if they should bring a glove and a bat to pictures." Well how in the #$LL should I know. Does she want her child photographed with a bat and a glove or not?? If so bring the stupid things, if not leave them at home.

Come on please people use some freeking common sense. And not just one of them, the lady asked the coach's wife and she proceeds to email me the question. Like she couldn't have answered it for her.

I'm just a volunteer why do they have to punish me. Then she emails me about practice schedules, cripes I've given her a schedule AND the phone numbers to ALL the coaches in the entire league. CALL them if you want to throw in a practice, I'm not a coach and I don't call practice, Use your head already.

These are only two examples of stupidity I've been subjected to over the last 6 hours. It's like no one wants to think for themselves and they want me to think for them.

Anyway my vent is over, I believe we should take all points of views and be open to them, but when it comes to incredibly elementary things it drives me up the wall and yes I question intelligence.

I'd do lipo/tummy tuck, but would not go to extremes. Everything in moderation, food, drink, etc.  I eat well, exercise don't smoke and keep my face out of the sun. I don't see why so many have hang ups about it.
