LW - 204 TW - 201.8 Nice! It is my first week of healthy eating so I suspect it was mostly the lack of fat foods that caused the loss but I'll take it!

so we're half way to weigh in day and I have been doing well with eating. Under my calorie counts each day. My struggles have been with lunch because I am in transit between clients at that time and it's hard to eat in the car (not to mention not that enjoyable). I also struggle with exercising. I can't seem to find the time in the day - I work half-time, am doing my masters as well as doing an internship and have a 2 year old. Honestly by the end of the day, I feel like my whole day was a work out but I know I need to do more cardio. When do you guys fit it in with everything else you have to do? What ideas do you have for "quick" exercise? I have started doing the typical stuff like taking the stairs etc... but that's it.

Round #1 Initial SW (June 2008) - 212 Sept 2008 - 192

Round #2 New SW (today) - 204

So I'm using 204 as my "round 2" starting weight. I'll do measurements on the weekend as I'd like to see how my body changes not just how the weight does.

My long term goal is 125 but my first goal is to get back down to my Sept weight which was 192 (basically erase the Sept - Dec boo boo).

Now... to figure out how to schedule in exercise....

Hi all, I'm back =)

Last semester was crazy and I found it really difficult to track food, weight etc... and to come here even though I loved checking in, posting and supporting each other last summer and into the fall. Alas... I gained back 10 of the 20 pounds I had lost in the summer - blech! So... I am back and this time I am committed to recording, sharing and staying connected!

I am going to start with the weigh in on Wed and see where I am at -- officially!

Halizabeth - thinking of you! Hospitals suck in so many ways (well, maybe not the maternity ward but everywhere else including the not-so-healthy cafeteria!).

LW - 194 TW - 193

Looks good until I realized that I was 193 the week before. I had my TOTM last week though so.... I'm a bit frustrated with the 193/194 bobbling I have been for most of the month. It's so much harder to stay on track when working and a lot of the good habits I established in the summer have gone away. I need to get back on track!!

You guys are doing so well! Keep it up =)

    LW - 193 TW - 194 It's my TOTM though so I am hoping that is the cause of the increased number =(

    Halizabeth - thanks for the suggestions! That's exactly what I've been doing =) Great minds think alike - lol

    It's a lot harder to keep track of things now that I am back to the chaos of work/school/etc.. but I'm looking at it meal by meal and trying to stay on track even if I can't exactly count the calories.

    You guys are doing a great, great job!!!! And a true inspiration - I love to hear the stories =)

    Crazy work schedule this week so it's been hard to keep up here and logging everything so I wasn't expecting a loss but I'll take it =)

    My goal is to find easy lunch food that I can eat in the car in between clients/jobs. Right now I am struggling to find stuff that works. Salads are a pain and I am often not in a place that I can heat things up. Hmmmm - time to get creative.

    Well done everyone - it's looking like a great week!

    Last week - 198 This week - 194.6

    Better =) Guess last week was because it was my TOM or ??? Anyway, I'm back at work now and it is much more difficult to stay on track, avoid the treats that are inevitably present and not stress-eat which can be a downfall of mine. Hmmm I might need my mini-goal to include only treating one time in the week at work and one time at home. We'll see how it goes.

    I'm 5' on the dot when I'm not cheating with heels - lol and currently 198 lbs. I started July 1 at 212 lbs. I am a high school counsellor and I find that it is difficult to stay on track at work because I forget to eat, am too busy to take a lunch break etc... and find that there are days where it comes to 3:00 and I am STARVING!!! then I binge because I am so hungry. My goals is to eat a low cal snack between each class this year and see how that goes.

    I'd love to have someone to share ups and downs with.

    Boo. I guess I was kind of expecting it because I went back to work and it is always harder to eat better there than when I am off. I have to learn to take more low cal foods with me so I have more snacks but still low calorie.

    Still working on finding the time for exercise. Oy!

    Had to share my "yipee!" moment today. I went clothes shopping for fall today (never a good activity for me) and I am a size smaller than I was in May =) Yipee! I automatically took the normal size I would be and was surprised when they didn't fit. In one pair of pants I had to go down 2 sizes! yipee yipee yipee... I know it isn't much but hey - it's progress.

    Back to work next week after summer holidays so I am hoping that it will be easier to automize part of my eating (I'm thinking breakfast and lunch) which will help with the calorie count. It's going to be hard to build in exercise though as I have a crazy schedule this year. So my mini-goal this week is to look at my schedules/routines and build in 30 min of exercise at least every other day. It's a start....

    Quick question for you pro's out there =)

    When you look at the analysis for the day it lists Fat, Protein, Carbs, Alcohol, Other. What is a good % breakdown to target for these? I'm particularly interested in Fat, Protein and Carbs as the others are almost always 0.

    Also, what is the ideal sodium, sugar, and fiber intakes?

    Yahhhh- down 5 lbs. Sort of makes up for the +1 lb last week - lol

    Mini goal - 3-4 walks per week. I'm finding it hard to fit into the day and it's so darned hot here that it's hard to stay motivated.

    Last week - 201 This week - 202

    That's a pound gain - yikes! On Monday which is my typical weigh in day I was 199 and was soooo happy to break the 200 mark but I guess it was a false loss. My main challenge is sweets - mainly chocolate - and although I am remaining under my calorie total for the day (it says to stay under 1550 per day), I suspect I am eating too much sugar. I'm finding that for me, it's not only about the calorie content of the food, it's also about the amount of sugar. Exercise is also a challenge - primarily fitting into a very busy schedule so my goals centre around that:

    Mini goal - weight - 195 by Sept 1 Mini goal - food - choc only one day per week Mini goal - exercise - 30 minutes per day

    Here's to a better week! =)

    Well done halizabeth!! I seem to be struggling under the all-powerful chocolate. Everything else I am eating seems to be going well but I have daily cravings for chocolate! Love it!! I'm down 12 lbs since I started but seem to be on a bit of a plateau so we'll see what this week holds.....

    I'd love to be part of this group if it is still open. I am 5'1" and 201 lbs. I was 212 when I started on July 2 and my ultimate goal is about 120 but I have set interim goals in order to stay motivated etc... so my first goal is 190 by Sept 1st. My main challenges is exercising but I am working on it.
