Yeh! I lost 2.8 lbs but its always easy in the beginning. I did cardio 4 times and weights twice last week. I have been good with my diet all days but Saturday - had a few more almonds then I should have (who knew they had so many calories). But today I did great - went shopping ALL day but had packed a bag of various fruits so I could munch all day til I got home for dinner to have a veggie burger. Now if I can make it to bedtime without cheating...... Til next Saturday ... Good luck everyone!

Tiny change for me, 77.5kg, 0.5kg down, which is, about a pound, aces! I was pretty bad this week, glad I lost anything at all. Way to go peoples! ^_^

I agree. I like the idea of a longer goal date time period. I would be stoked to just lose the last, stubborn 5 lbs. I set out at 270 to get to 150 having been at my thinnest 152 in 10th grade and 155 after a crazy Atkins stint a few years back. I have seen 153 with some consistency, but it is SO MUCH slower now then it was when I started.
My weight loss plan is just my life now. I run with my dog or ride a bike, with some strength training, pretty much every day. I eat 1500-1700. Booze is a tough one for me. I am TRYING not to drink but maybe once a week on weekends until the holidays. Sort of for losing, but osrt of just to prove to myself I can do it. I drink too much --- nothing crazy, but you know empty cals are bad and all. =P I drink 3 33 oz bottles of water at work (try and succeed almost all week every day -- just habit) and drink more at home, no even diet soda. I try to be very aware of my sodium and keep it low. it makes me retain water = gain, annoying, but manageable, eh? I get lots of fiber/pill, take a vitamin, lots of veggies and tons of fruit. more fish and chicken then red meat. if I eat the right food, I find I get a lot to eat. I also made a huge list of snacks and ideas when I first started as I found things I liked that were GOOD, satisfying substitutes for my old, "bad" favorites. LOL --- I did not mean to spout a bunch of junk, but I liked the paragraph I started. It was kind of cool to hear myself talk about how my mental outlook has changed since June O7 at 230 (270, last time I got down to 155 doing Atkins) WOW.
All my other challenges are more short terms like Xmas or New Year's, so this one will be good. ( ;
I'd love to hear any so close you can taste it, plateau busting tips besided zigzagging and changing my workouts. (I'm trying those already)

GOAL clothes -- HECK YEAH. I do that all the time. My swim suit when I went on vacation to Cali. I have to go to prom every year, so I use my dress to get going. or I don't always buy though. go try on clothes at the end and beginning of a season -- scope out what you would love to buy, find the size the fits, and try it on when you go grocery shop. I go to WalMart, but it is an easy way to check yourself.
I saw a lot of "I'm news too" welcome to cc. it rocks. take measurements now before you lose much. sometimes the scale lies, but the inches never do. ( : cheers!

Good morning ladies , It's time to weigh in....I started out at 155 and I have lost 2...earlier in the week I did not do so well with my diet ... I did maintain my weight but I did not lose...I hope Ill do better next week.. |

welcome to the sight .. Have you tried the tools yet ... They will help you with how many cals you should take in a day and you can even keep track of your cals and your burn on your home profile... Yea I hate it ... Because I can't seem to control my self and I always over eat .. And then I feel bad because I over ate.. It is an unending cycle...But I think I have it under control now.. Mainly because it's over... I am going to have Christmas here at my house and Im going to make low cal healthy stuff and Im going to take control of the situation... Hm, I must be the only one. I've lost 46 lbs now and do the shakes. I honestly love the stupid things and get excited about drinking it every day. I'm not even remotely hungry either. I'm doing the high protein chocolate and loving it! I think I'd probably keep drinking it when I'm done with the "diet" part of my "calorie awareness" :)
Maybe it's just me.

to answer your question my friend tried slimfast and as was really hungry so she was having the shake and then bingeing by the end of the day,so was consuming more in the end then what she normally did,
im 44 and for yrs ive tried every fad going anything for quick weight loss,only to put it back on many times over and more,honestly jackie the only way to do it is a healthy eating plan and exercise,even a brisk 30 min walk can make a diffrence,i dont deprive myself either its all in moderation,ive lost 39 pounds since july 1st,so dont waste your money on the shakes 
Oh wow good for you.. I work allot of hours and I need something that is quick and I thought this would help... Some nights I don't have time to pack my lunch. Do you have any idea's...?

I dont know how old you are but I was 210pounds and I got down to 116 my period recessed and I was not regular ... It was due to the weight lifting I was doing... you might have to back off the physical activity... I hope this helps.. |
