*sigh* where to begin.
For one, you aren't fat, you're actually at a low, healthy weight.
Seconly, you weren't eating enough. Don't give me that bull that 'it doesn't apply to me'. Grow a back bone and suck it up. You're only 14, you're still growing.
You probably don't realise this, but there are LOADS of girls on here who are trying to overcome eating disorders and your posts saying 'OMG I'm soooo fat! I'm 5'5 1/2" and weight 120!!!'. I'M 5'5.5" and I weigh 161 lbs. When you weigh that much, THEN you can complain.
Cutting calories at your age will only lead to problesm, for one, you could die. Yes, I'm not joking here. Secondly, if you cut too drastically, you'll end up gaining it all back, and then some- as was my case.
Seriously. Suck it up. You're fine. You aren't over weight. You shouldn't cut your calories, and no one is impressed that you ate 1,000 calories before. It's actually sad and pathetic reading this post because it seems like you WANT to have someone tell you 'oh, you're not fat! keep at it! you want a shoulder to cry on?'
So buck up and keep eating your calories. |

When the Devil is too busy And Death's a bit too much They call on me by name you see, For my special touch. To the Gentlemen I'm Miss Fortune To the Ladies I'm Sir Prize But call me by any name Any way it's all the same.
I'm the fly in your soup, I'm the pebble in your shoe; I'm the pea under your bed, I'm the bump on every head; I'm the peel on which you slip, I'm the pin in every hip; I'm the thorn in your side, Makes you wriggle and writhe; And it's so easy when you're evil This is the life, you see The Devil tips his hat to me. I do it all because I'm evil, And I do it all for free Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need.
While there's children to make sad While there's candy to be had While there's pockets left to pick While there's grannies left to trip down the stairs I'll be there, I'll be waiting round the corner It's a game. I'm glad I'm in it Because there's one born every minute.
I pledge my allegiance, to all things dark And I promise on my damned soul To do as I am told, Lord Beelxebub Has never seen a soldier quite like me Not only does his job, but does it happily.
I'm the Fear that keeps you awake, I'm the shadows on the wall, I'm the monsters they become I'm the nightmare in your skull; I'm the knife in your back An extra turn on the Rack; I'm the quivering of your heart A stabbing pain, a sudden start And it's so easy when you're evil, This is the life, you see The Devil tips his hate to me. I do it all because I'm evil And I do it all for free Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need And I do it all for free, Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need And I do it all for free, Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need.
It gets so lonely being evil, What I'd do to see a smile Even for a little while, And no one loves you when you're evil...
...I'm lying through my teeth, Your tears are all the company I need!

Personally, I agree with you. While they identify as a man, physically, they are not. I think this person is just trying to grab for more publicity. It's nothing spectacular, it's like a really, really masculine woman having a child. Physically, they have the bit and pieces to do it, so their sex is female, even thought they 'want' to be a man.
Who cares? give me a REAL man who is pregnant, THEN I will be impressed. Right now that person just needs to shut it and pick what they want to be, don't half-ass it. |

The thin line |

Don't let this get you down, I know how you feel and every -expletive- day I deal with thoughts like that, and things that are enough to trigger other people, so I wouldn't dare let them leave my mind. You came back to get better, and I hope you get better :)
Next time you get these horrid thoughts, stop, take out some paper, and fold it in half. On one side, you can write one bad thing about yourself, BUT on the other side, you HAVE to write three good things about yourself. You can write an unlimited amount of 'negative' things, ONLY if you can back it up with the mandatory 'Positive' things.
Too far in that you can't think of any positive things? Focus your mind on something else you enjoy. Video games, reading, writing, drawing/art, But since you are in recovery, if you chose exercise, keep it very, very light. There is also a 'thin line' with normal exercise and 'over exercise' as a means of 'purging'.
Trust me, Bulimia sucks big time, as does ANY ED. Please, your body has gone through enough hell with the anorexia, focus on being happy and getting emotionally, mentally and physically better instead of another means of controling yourself. |

I want to go back to ANY time of the dinosaurs, smash a bug and run back to the future screaming with laughter.
Unless I was SUPPOSEdto go back in time and squish the bug to make things how they are now... and in that case how would I know if I changed anything when I went back? hmm... kind of takes the fun out of it when you think of it that way...

I'd like to either go back in the times of the Vikings for, like, a day, I just want to do the whole pillage and plunder thing just once and possibly meet some of my ancestors...and creep them out by telling them some weird short chubby girl is their great great great great great great great great great -and so on- granddaughter from the FUTURE!!
Or go to either the late 80's or early 90's. I'm perpetually stuck in that time frame and want to be reminded of how much it sucked so I can move on. |

Drink water, eat healthy, exercise. It's AMAZING!!!
Seriously, people don't seem to understand that the body gets rid of it's own toxins. You don't need some fancy snake oil to do it. If our bodies 'held on' to toxins like these scams will tell you, we would have been dead a LOOOONG time ago. Take care of your immune system, treat your digestive tract well and you will be fine. |

'Yea, and I layeth down the eggs upon thy grass, hidden from the eyes of evil, for one day thou shalt become one with every golden marshmallow peep, thou shalt plant the jelly beans of my love into thy belly and grow forth five pounds. Protect my brothers from the evil words of Diabetics, cast aside their candy eyes and remove their innocent ears, for you shall spare them the Anguish of their Heathen ways' - Book of Easter Bunny, 4:71 |

I feel sorry for all the parents who are going to have to try to explain that ad to their 5 or 6 year old children.

direwolf, i "swear to god" - lower-case G intentional. i don't think that makes me a hypocrite, though it may make you less likely to take me at my word. i definitely don't pray, and i don't know any atheists who do. many of us meditate, and you may interpret that as prayer, but i can assure you, that's not what it is. the old atheist-in-a-foxhole argument is BS. agnostic-in-a-foxhole, maybe. and "there are no atheists on judgement day" - that's also christian propaganda. you can tell us that we really believe, but that doesn't make it tru.
but i'd really like to know what you find offensive about the ad.
I didn;t find anything offensive about the ad,I'm just upset that now I'm going to have to hear from Christians yet ANOTHER thing they're going to gripe about. First it was about Obama, and now it's going to be over some stupid ad.
and while some people do say that phrase, I know amongst my circle of friends (those who claim to be Atheist as well) will jumop down anyone's throat who says that term as well, saying that they are 'ignorant' for believing in something that doesn't exist, while a second laterthey say the same comment and give the explination you did. I am not knocking all Atheists, but these are all about the ones I have met in person.
I didn't mean to start up another debate, I'm just going off of what I have experienced personally.

Original Post by direwolf689: While on one hand, there are a LOT of hypocritical Christians out there, but there are even MORE hypocritical Atheists out there as well.
I wonder if you can actually back this statement up, in terms of real numbers? Or is this just your personal beliefs?
PS.. it's my belief and my experience that there's plenty of hypocriticism to go around.
Oh, just personal experience. I know a lot of self-proclaimed 'atheits' who still 'swear to God' or other such things. Even though they say they don't believe in said God, I knwo for a fact that when some of them are in life threatening situations, they start praying. These are pretty much all the 'atheists' I know.
Still, I really don't have a problem with anyone, but I wish that they would have waited at LEAST until after Christmas to do this. Now all the Christians are going to be upset and we won't hear the last of it. |
