Stephanie ~ Sounds like you had some great workouts last week! I think that definitely helped when it came to that big meal you had. Keep up the good work!

Slimby ~ Good luck on training! I've always considered running a 5K, it's not that far just never really investigated it. Let us know how you do!

Zima ~ Yeah the weather sucks if you have to be out in it! If I can be snuggled inside all warm and cozy I don't mind it for awhile. I had to run a bunch of errands this morning and it sucked!

Welcome, Mar! You are very close to your goal...have you tried to cut back on the salt? That's a huge water retainer. Good luck with everything and come back and share how everything is going!

Zima ~ I could do Wednesday, I work but I should be off by 6p BUT...I think it's supposed to rain. I know it is tomorrow and the little weather thingy online says Wednesday too. Guess we can play that one by ear. Thursday definitely, I do work again but I should be done by 6p. Last I heard we are heading to your place if you are still up for it, I told Mandy I'd pick her up after I got off work and we'd head to your place.  I think she may want to do happy hour that day :)

Mandy ~ Yay girl!!! Congrats on the clothes shopping success!! That is great and I am sure wonderful motivation to keep you going :) Can't wait to get in some sort of workout with you girls this week.

lossfast ~ Nice workout! I am sure that put a dent in your delicious sounding meal :)

Hey girls!

Zima ~ Girl, you crack me up!!! You and your rattlesnake and your sore boobs. Too bad I don't know any legal secretaries, hope the position gets filled soon! Sounds like you've had some mad fun the last few days with pubs and such!

Mandy ~ Yeah the expensive running shoe thing sucks but I paid a lot for my last pair too. I figure it's better to pay a little more for them than a lot of medical bills when the cheap pair screws up my body. I am in the market for a new pair, I really need to go get some. What kind did you buy? That burger place sounds awesome! We must all go sometime soon! Maybe we can find another stalker and I can match her up with mine and they'll live happily every after, lol.

Ugh I have been soooo busy this past week. Lots of really late nights at work which just kills me the next day. I am still on the lookout for that high paying job that I don't actually have to work at, lol. Really want to get in some exercise but all that work has prevented me from even thinking about the gym...booo! I'm thinking I might try to go today although I am tired from work last night but I'd love to get some weights in. An old ex from way back in the day has reappeared in my life too....not sure how I feel about it but he is ready to jump back into it full force. Not sure if he's looking for the real deal or a casual thing though - I refuse to be sloppy seconds so he better step up to the plate is all I have to say, lol.

Mandy ~ That class sounds awesome! You could probably do it for awhile and it'll still give you a great workout, congrats on sticking with it and going! See you soon :)

Zima ~ Glad you had fun in Vegas! I'll be going there in December for a friends wedding so you'll have to let me know the best buffets to try out. See you soon!

lossfast ~ Good luck with the eating out! I never have any willpower at restaurants either, the bread basket always tempts me. I am sure you will do fine and if you go a little overboard, it's ok because you can just eat better tomorrow.

Welcome Jodi! Yes, we are so lucky that we live close enough to work out together. Definitely keeps us accountable to each other! I would love to get the Wii Active, it sounds like so much fun...congrats on the hard workout you did!

Me ~ Doing great today, cleaned my apartment and getting a lot of work stuff squared away which is great. Hiked yesterday, will do that today and hope to get back to the gym on Thursday for another weight lifting day.

I don't know what you two are talking about, you are blowing this thread out of the water today! Much better than the "other" group.

Mandy ~ I hope you enjoy your class tonight! Which one are you going to? We'll be seeing you tomorrow for another good workout! Glad you had a good weekend, you didn't miss much here in LA!

lossfast ~ Sorry to hear about the sick kids, that can't be fun! I hope they feel better soon!

Me ~ Sooooo sore from a hardcore workout on Saturday. I went in to do weights and  bumped everything up a notch when I should've started much much lower, seeing as I haven't been to the gym in awhile. Gave myself a good lesson there! Went hiking today so hopefully that'll help the muscles heal faster.

Hey girls! I'm back, finally...better late than never :) Things have been soo crazy here, internet has been spotty so Starbucks has been my friend with their free wifi. I *think* it's all been fixed now though and I am presently typing this in my place so let's all cross our fingers that the internet will now work for good! I've been majorly slacking in the exercise dept, Mandy and Zima have been my lifesavers with the hikes and workouts!  We're doing it again tomorrow, right girls? :)

Sounds like you all are doing well, keep it up!

Karey ~ Are you excited about you trip to CA? The weather has been so nice and it's supposed to stay this way through the weekend so you'll be getting the full CA experience :) I sure hope you feel better for the trip and are able to get out and explore. San Francisco is a fun place to see, plus all of the surrounding areas too. Hope you are getting this hormonal problem figured out! Keep pushing those doctors to get your answer!

Gina ~ It sounds like you are doing so well with your new attitude towards food! I hope it sticks with you, what a healthy outlook! As for the guy, even if he's not long term commitment material, he sure sounds like some GREAT eye candy! Yay for you! Enjoy it :) Not many guys are like that anymore. That is so odd that he hasn't had long relationships, did he ever say why? Or go into more detail than 'she wasn't right for me?' That kinda sends up some warning flags but as long as you are having fun, it's all good. That Insanity work out sounds horrendous but excellent, be our guinea pig for it! :)

Soraya ~ Yup, it's law now in CA that if you are a chain with 19 or more restaurants, you must post your nutritional info on the menu. It's shocking how many calories all that food is! Cheesecake is especially bad because their portions are usually quite large and they don't really cook healthy, very sad because they are so good!

Cherry ~ Hi there! Wow I can't believe someone would do that, especially to a woman. What a jerk! Hope it is healing up for you!

Mary ~ Congrats on the weight loss!

Me ~ Finally finished my show. All those long hours paid off, the client was happy and the show looked great. Glad I don't have to drive 80 miles round trip anymore! I am moving to a bigger apartment this weekend, yay! I am excited to have more room and buy new furniture and all that. I finally went back to the gym today after a long time away, kept it fairly light but was happy to see that I haven't lost much in the way of strength, just some stamina which I can build back up. My trainer quit the gym so I am going to cancel my training contract and decide whether I want to train with him in a private gym or go out on my own. I'll get through this move first and then figure things out.

Have a good one, everybody!

Mandy ~ Your last weekend sounds so nice! It is fun to get away for a few days, even if it is in your same town. I hope you and the kiddos enjoy the beach this weekend! I am glad you are doing well working out on your own!

lossfast ~ Bummer about that groin injury! Good thing you listened to your body though and stopped pushing yourself so it can heal. Sorry to hear about the sick kid too! That is never fun, hope he is doing better!

Karey ~ I love roller coasters! I am the same way, I shut my eyes and scream through the entire thing, then want to ride it again, lol. I hope you are making some progress with the doctors!

Zima ~ Yep I am back! I totally want to start New Rules with you! I am feeling my muscles flab out so its time to make them work again. Next week is pretty open, my family leaves on Monday and so far I don't have anything else planned so maybe we can try Tues & Thurs? What works for you girls?

Megham ~ Wow, awesome with the weight loss! What a motivation, huh? :) Congratulations and keep it up! I don't really have a story here, I joined in an effort to realize my calorie intake and to learn some good fitness tips. I have actually gained weight since I started working out but it's muscle (it better be!!!) so I am ok with it. I could stand to lose a few to better show off the muscle but so far it's been an uphill battle.

Me ~ Finally done with the killer work week! The show went very well, everyone was happy and I am just happy I don't have to drive the 80 mile roundtrip every day! I am moving this weekend, which I am excited about although the actual moving part won't be so fun. My family is coming down to help me though which is awesome. I am so excited for them to come check out my new place and to see them again. I finally went to the gym today after who knows how long I've been away. I took it fairly easy, didn't really push myself but wanted to see where I was after all the time off. Thankfully I haven't loss much of anything, I think mostly it's just getting the stamina back. My trainer did leave the gym so I am cancelling my training contract with them since I don't want to go through trying to find another trainer again. He wants me to come work out with him at a private gym for less cost and them my first trainer also wants me to come work out with him so I don't know what I am going to do yet. I want to wait and see how my finances look after the move and increased rent before I go spending money on things I don't need.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Mandy ~ I saw that you booked a hotel by the ocean for the weekend...I hope that perked you up! I bet it'll be gorgeous. Where are you going?

Karey ~ Hope that motivation found you today! Or maybe you just had a lazy Thursday, that's ok too :) You need to be taking it easy anyway!

Me ~ Ok get this, my trainer calls me today and says that he's on suspension from the gym, which pretty much means he's fired. GREAT. I have like 30 sessions left with him too. I'm going to ask for my money back on the remaining ones. I've just been too busy to really get back into training and I was tired of him anyhow so let's hope they can refund my money. Not sure what the contract says but there's got to be a way, right?

Mandy ~ YAY on the new stats!!!!!  I hope that will keep you motivated to keep up your great work! I'd love to join you and Zima for NROLFW on the days I don't work, that would be fun! Yeah trainer boy is kind of a pain, he is actually still with Bally's, just at the N. Hollywood gym. He kinda sealed that deal in that I won't be re-signing, haha! So glad to see you are doing cardio!

Zima ~ I have like 30 sessions left with trainer boy! I'll just use them up with him (like I told Mandy, he's still with Ballys, just at the N. Hollywood gym) and not re-sign. I hope your week has gotten better and your time with the boy goes well tonight :)

lossfast ~ Yeah I hate the number on the scale too! I do like to go by body fat percentage more, I think it's more accurate although the one you were using I've heard can be off by quite a bit. I prefer the caliper method, if you have someone to do it for you. It still can be slightly off but better than the machine.

kellyoh ~ It will take some time for your body to be accustomed to working out. You probably get tired because your endurance hasn't built up yet. Just keep working at a pace that is comfortable for you but push it a little more and see what happens. Also make sure you are eating well and getting enough rest.

Karey ~ So sorry to hear of the ongoing medical stuff! I hope the new blood tests are able to give an answer to you and your doctor but until then, take it easy! Let the husband wait on you for awhile :)

Me ~ Just working my long hours again. So far the job is going pretty well and tomorrow is our last day of set up before the show so I am hoping it goes smoothly for me! Not much new to report, just lots of driving and working!

Holy schnikeys girls! You blew up this thread today! Hopefully I'll catch everthing and everyone...

lossfast ~ Wow what a weekend! Amazing job with the eating, I sure don't have that willpower. Yup I live in California with some of these other awesome ladies. I work in entertainment lighting. Your job sounds very important! :)

Mandy ~ How did measurements go?????? Let me know how it went!! Keep it up with the cardio, I think you will see some amazing results by doing it. I totally feel the same way about age...I have a year and a half until I am 30 and I am freaked out about it! But we'll have a big ol' party for yours and it'll be great!

Zima ~ Sorry about the crappy day. Sounds like you need to get away for a bit! have a nice girls vacation. I am sooo thinking Hawaii...whaddya say? ;) Yeah my hectic work week started today, and I was given the wrong time and I got there 1.5 hours early! Argh!

Karey ~ So sorry to hear about your  bad reaction to the blood tests! Yeah it is really hard to fast for so long, I do that a lot for my cholesterol tests and I feel so sick. I hope you are doing better tomorrow!

Me ~ Started my crazy work week today. Was at the job site by 7:15am and found out that I had been forgotten about and I wasn't supposed to be there until 9:30am! I could've slept in! But the good part was I got to leave earlier than everyone else. I ate pretty well today, I packed my own lunch which was good, especially since it's so easy to eat horribly at work with all the fast food around. Also found out my trainer switched gyms this weekend, sometimes he has too much drama around him! Ugh. I am pretty sure I won't be going back after my sessions are up, I'd rather save the money for my new apartment and do things on my own for awhile. I don't need trainer drama! haha!

Ok ladies, 99% of us have this! I think we all might be better off making sure we are healthy rather than freaking out about it. Honestly, no one notices it except yourself (until you start pointing it out!). I work in the entertainment industry and one night Fergie (the singer from they Black Eyed Peas) was at whatever show I was working and I saw that she has that underarm fat too. At that moment, I realized that it's not just us 'regular' people who have it, celebrities do too and everyone else in between. It's ok! Just focus on exercising, eating right and enjoying life - it's too short as it is.

Karey ~ I am sorry to hear about your doctor's visit! That is such a bummer when they can't tell you what the problem is or how to fix it. I hope all your tests come out ok and your body will regulate itself on its own. Must be so frustrating for you! I hope you like the elliptical, I've never tried all the settings on the ones at the gym so now you can be the guinea pig for me :) When are you coming to California? It's soon, right? Have you planned anything yet? Sightseeing?

Me ~ Just chugging along here. Worked with the trainer yesterday, it's amazing how fast the endurance leaves you when you don't work out! Hopefully that returns quickly. Not too sore though so that's good. I work all of next week, from 6a to 8p so I won't have time to work out but after that I will! Yay!

Hi everyone!

Welcome Stefanie! Your progress sounds amazing, congratulations to you! That is awesome that a bodybuilder asked if you were one too, quite the compliment!

Zima ~ Hope you made it to the gym! Have a great time this weekend!

Mandy ~ I hope your day is going better. Did you go to boot camp? I was supposed to meet my trainer this morning so I wasn't able to go with you but he cancelled at the last minute...oh well! Gave me more time to do things today before I head out to work. Oh and don't worry about the skinny jeans, I think only about .01% of the population can even wear them, lol. Did you find anything else you liked?

Megan ~ I love orange chicken! Panda Express is one of my favorites and it's so hard to eat healthy there when the best tasting stuff is fried. Oh well! I suppose we have to splurge sometimes.

Karey ~ Cool that you got the elliptical! How are you liking it? Must be nice to have something you can do right at home, you don't even have to worry about the weather!  Mmmm, your pizza and ice cream overload sounds good :)

Me ~ Was supposed to hit the gym this morning with trainer boy but he cancelled at the last minute so I came home and am trying to get errands and such done around here before next week, when I will only be home to sleep because of work. I am experimenting with baking mint brownies for the boys at work tonight, I love to bake but am glad I have people to give it away to!

Hi girls!

This sounds fun...we can all use as much cheerleading a possible in our journeys!

Karey ~ I looked through the Biggest Loser cookbook at Mandy's, it's really good! You should check it out. What I liked best was how simple the recipes were, there are no weird ingredients you will only use once or anything, I'd say most of it is in your kitchen now. A ton of the recipes sounded so good and they are things you'd eat normally anyhow, just with healthier ingredients.

I've kind of gotten back into working out, I was with the trainer on Wednesday and have another session today and tomorrow. Trying to fit it in where I can because there will be no good time to exercise! I am sure I will be quite sore by tomorrow.

Best of luck to all of you!

Karey ~ Bummer about the muffins, I hope you are able to modify the recipe enough to make it taste great with the protein. I didn't know protein would change the taste of something so much, good to know! That is so cute that the old man gave you a compliment...how uplifting! I hope that was able to lift you out of your hormonal funk for awhile :)

Soraya ~ Congrats on the deal! I hope it goes smoothly for all parties involved (and not too much partying happens!)

Sarah ~ Sounds like you had a good time at the softball game! Eating for fun and losing weight is a double bonus, go you! LOL at the mechanical bull, those things kinda freak me out but I love watching other people on them. I guess that's sort of a workout, huh! Congrats on going running after a night of drinking! That is some discipline...keep it up!

Zima ~ Hope your week is getting better :)

Gina ~ Welcome back! I am so glad you had a good time on your trip! No worries on the weight...you know it's mostly water and you and Brock will be kicking its butt in no time! Guys that do things like that drive me crazy....respond when you are written to! haha! I hope he was just busy or something. Have you heard anything yet?

Mandy ~ I am sore from bootcamp! Ahhh!

Me ~ Been another crazy week for me. My best friend and I went on a road trip Sun - Tues, we drove up to Pismo Beach, saw that and Morro Bay, drove down to Solvang and Santa Barbara and just hung out on the beaches and relaxed. It was nice! Now I am back home and getting stuff done here. I found out I got the apartment I wanted so I am moving at the end of the month, wooo! It's a gorgeous place, a 1 bedroom so no more studio apartment for me. I am excited, just gotta keep up the work so I can pay for it! I am so ashamed to say I haven't been to the gym in about a month! It's so bad. I called my trainer last night and I am going in to see him today, I know I'll be very sore but there will never be a great time to fit it in so I just need to do it. Should be interesting to see how well (or bad!) I do!

Mandy ~ YAY for losing weight!!! I bet you feel so much more motivated now, huh? Let's kick each others booties in bootcamp!

Gina ~ Have a great time in PA! Your weight is still really low so no worries! You've worked hard and I am glad you are taking a vacation to relax. I am still so jealous that you and Brock run mountains...that is tough! Your endurance must be awesome - that is one thing I miss about my former trainer, every week he had me doing sprints up a hill. It was killer but improvements were so obvious. Glad your date went well! He sounds interesting, I hope you two are able to meet up again despite the distance.

Karey ~ We would never want to get rid of you! I look forward to your posts, you are always so positive and when weekends are usually dead here, I could count on you to write a few things. The weather out there sounds horrible! I can't believe it's summer and you are still having rain. I hope it clears up for you soon! Love that you are such a foodie! All your recipes sound divine, loving the chicken burritos! If you use protein powder in the muffins, let me know how they turn out. Hopefully good! Sorry to hear about the hormone problems, being female sucks sometimes! I hope it straightens itself out for you soon.

Zima ~ I think we are all munchie girls! The guys at work bought a bunch of snacks for this week and I've definitely been having my fill. That plus no gym = bad Karen! I am glad you are getting into the gym! I've heard morning workouts are supposed to be excellent to get you going and it seems like it's working for ya. I totally understand about the running outside thing, when it's nice out I love running down my street! I can't imagine running downtown but I suppose it's doable. Ok I will admit I have no idea what Caroussel is...maybe we all need to go visit soon? It sounds good!

Soraya ~ Glad the fires didn't get you! That was pretty scary for awhile. Sorry to hear about the bad eating, seems like we are all going through it! But you know what to do! And you know you can do it too...it's supposed to be really nice outside for the next couple of days so go out for some runs, if your sciatica is better. Take care of yourself!

Sarah ~ Have a great time at the softball game! It sounds like a ton of fun and softball is exercise! I hope you and your guy's schedule work out better next week :)

Me ~ Still working the early shifts at work but tomorrow is my last day..yay! Just booked a trip for a few days with my best friend to go up the coast, kind of a last minute getaway before she goes back to work. I can't wait to get away! Work is really busy for the next few weeks so it'll be good to get some R&R.

Have a great evening!

Mandy ~ I hope the custody issues are working out your way! Can't wait to catch up soon. You are lifting weights with the trainer, right? Not to mention doing all sorts of other activities that you aren't used to I am assuming. I think your  body is adjusting to all the changes and that is why you haven't lost too much weight. You are absolutely correct to keep your hope up because those pounds are working their way off! You are a gorgeous girl and you look fabulous!

Gina ~ So did you meet up with that guy? How did it go?? Let us all live vicariously through you! :)

Karey ~ Ohhh that is where you have been! You've been quiet lately, I usually can count on your for weekend postings so I will have to go check out your new topic. I hope it does as well as this one has! I am so with you on women and wanting to be sooo skinny, it's ridiculous. I don't think people enjoy their life enough as it is! Thanks for the comment on my picture too! :)

Sarah ~ Sounds like a good workout plan! Changing things up keeps it interesting and keeps your body guessing which helps it to lose weight so I think you are on the right track. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Soraya ~ Sorry to hear about your bad days but it sounds like you know what you need to do to get yourself back where you want to be.  I hope it works out for you and you get back to kickboxing and all that fun stuff!

Me ~ So exhausted! I have to be up at 3:30am every morning this week for work so that alone is pretty tiring. I haven't been able to make it to the gym in weeks, so bad! Trying to eat well and just focusing on working for now and not killing myself trying to work out too. I'll get back to it very soon.

Hope everyone is well!

Karey ~ Going way back in the thread to page 67 :) I do try to eat a good amount of whole foods in my diet though it is hard. Dinner is probably the easiest for me, I almost always either eat chicken or fish and a bunch of vegetables and a salad. If it's not whole foods, I make sure it at least is good for me, with whole grains and the like. Sorry to hear the protein powder didn't work out so well in the oatmeal, you are probably right it's better in baked goods. Have you tried that yet?

Sarah ~ I am glad you had a good time out here in CA! Sorry I wasn't in town to meet you but that just means you get to have another trip out here to visit family and hang out with all of us! That is too funny that you went to the tar pits, I never knew that was a big tourist thing! I did a show out there last year, had to watch where you walked or you ended up stepping in big black goopy puddles. Sorry to hear that you are sick! Feel better soon :)

Gina ~ How was the date? That dinner you made Brock sounds fabulous! I think that's so cute that you two do that together :) Glad to hear you guys are back in the gym too! Sounds like you are really getting back into the swing of things, yay!

Zima ~ Hope your week is going better after the flat tire! That is such a pain. Have a great weekend and see ya next week!

Soraya ~ So sorry to hear about your daughter's meltdown. Some people should have been neutered at birth! He sounds like a horrible guy and I am sorry to know that you two have to go through it. I hope your daughter knows she is lucky to have one parent who cares for her so much! A lot of kids don't even have that.

Mandy ~ Look forward to your weekend and cheer up girly!

Me ~ I am back! Yay! No more trips up north for awhile. Grandma's services went well, the memorial was nice and a lot of people showed up for that. Her graveside service was hard, they put the little box of her ashes on this pedestal and it was so hard/weird to look at it and know that was her. But she is in a better place and that is all that matters. Now I am back home and finally getting things done around here. My house is disgustingly dirty! LOL I'll be cleaning over the next few days before work starts up again. Going to try to hit the gym today and tomorrow and get back into that as well.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Fitness Personal trainer leaving and I'm SCARED!!! Jul 27 2009
23:31 (UTC)
1

Been there! My first trainer switched gyms in March and I freaked. I didn't think there would be anyone out there who would know how to push me or work me out as hard, etc etc than him. Since I would have sessions remaining after he left, he and I talked at length about who would be the best for me to switch to. I went with one of the other trainers who I knew a little about and guess what....I work even HARDER now!

The moral of my little story is: there are other people out there who will help you. Keep an open mind and try a few out, they will be different than your current trainer but do the workout and see how you feel. My former and current trainer are miles apart in how they train and I like different things about each of them but at the end of the day, I am getting a great workout and heading towards my goals. You will too, trust me.

As for your question as to stay or go, I say stay with the current guy for now but talk to him about who he thinks would be good for you to switch to. Watch the other trainers and see how they work and which you think you might get along with. I say take a few of those sessions and use them on whichever trainer you have thought about and see how it goes. They might even throw in a free session just to try out a few of them. Doesn't hurt to ask! Don't get discouraged about it but see it as a new jump in your fitness goals and weight loss.

Good luck!

I think they are, or at least I did with mine! It makes a huge difference as to the length of the contract you sign as to what you pay. I walked into my gym already knowing how much I wanted to pay and also the length of time and after some negotiation, got what I wanted. Gyms WANT you and your money and they go to great lengths to get it. Of course they will show you their regular prices and act like that is the only thing you can get but if you hesitate, tell them how much you wanted to spend and don't mind spending some time wheelin' and dealin', you should have no problem getting a better price.

Good luck!

Zima ~ I hope you are feeling better! Puking is absolutely horrible...alcohol kind of turns my stomach because it's made me throw up one too many times, lol. Alright, way too much info there :) Thank you for the offer of a ride! My friend is gonna take me though so no worries. You are too sweet! Mandy's down for a bbq at her place next week so let's plan on it! I've heard the Housewives' shows are hilarious! I haven't watched them but the drama is supposed to be awesome. Hope you get a great workout in!

Soraya ~ Sorry to hear about the stress! Sounds like a difficult situation. I've always found that the gut instinct is the right one, no matter how hard we all fight it. I hope you and your partner are able to get a deal that benefits you both!

Mandy ~ Glad to hear from you! I figured you were so busy with everything going on. I am glad you are still seeing the trainer! I hope that is going well for you. We'll figure out a day next week for a bbq, should be fun!

Karey ~ LOL, you are the sunshine on here! You can tell your husband that! :) Let me know what you bake with the protein powder, I've always wondered if it alters the taste/texture/consistency of baked goods. I think it's good that you are incorporating more whole foods into your diet. I figure the closer to the Earth, the better because our bodies were made to eat that stuff, not the highly processed crap on store shelves. (although I am not one to talk, I tend to go towards the lower cal stuff too!). I think as long as you are bringing in good for you food - which you are - you should be just fine. Oh and I am a bar junkie too! I have a ton in my fridge (they are so good cold!) but I tend to remember that they are like 200cals and I figure I should use those cals on something more substantial. But they are great to have around in a pinch when you need something good for you.

Me ~ Another nice day here. Thinking of hitting the gym after I finish this and get one last workout in before I leave tomorrow morning. I am still kind of sore from Monday's workout but I think today will help with that. The shin splits still hurt so I'll hop on the elliptical instead, even though it still feels like an awkward motion to me. Anyone else feel like that?

Karey ~ You our the little sunshine of this group :) You are always so positive and are quick to reach goals. Woot woot to you! lol Oh and by the way, I don't think eating fruit salad qualifies as 'pigging out' at all! Now if you said cookies or sweets or something like that, then I would understand but fruit is good for you! I think it's hard to overeat on that and it's not all that calorific either. So no worries about it! I used to watch Hell's Kitchen with my ex, I've fallen off the wagon since we broke up. Now I am obsessed with America's Got Talent. There are some crazy people on there! Oh what protein powder did you buy? I've been looking for some unflavored stuff to add to my baking/cooking.

Zima ~ Miss you too girl! I can't wait to get together again. Thanks for the offer to help! I think I've got everything under control unless you want to play hooky from work and take me to the airport! ;) 1900 cals is not bad! I am sure you worked a ton of it off in your workout, not to mention you gotta eat a bit more to feed those growing muscles :)

Soraya ~ Great for keeping the weight steady! I agree, it is sooo freakin' hot! So much for our mild summer of June and early July. I've been going to the gym just to get out of the heat, lol. Keep on working out!

Gina ~ Awwww girl, I am sorry to hear you are down! Dating is such a pain, isn't it? lol I've given up on it for awhile, it's impossible to find decent guys nowadays. I focus on keeping myself healthy and happy and I figure the rest will follow. Maybe you do need to take some time off for all of that. Hit the gym, focus on getting your endurance back and all that jazz. Sounds like Brock is the perfect perk-you-up partner :) Too bad he is so young! Does he have an older brother? lol Sorry to hear about the bummer workout but you'll kick it's hiney tomorrow!

Me ~ Finally got in a work out yesterday. Phew! I am so deconditioned from not working out much this month. I was able to do my normal work out but those weights were a lot tougher than before and I had to struggle through some of the last reps. The sit ups I used to be able to do in no time? I had to pause and rest twice! Ahhh! I am quite sore today too but I should be able to get back into shape rather quickly next week when I am back in town. I told trainer boy that I'd rather wait until next week before we work out, it's been a few weeks since I've seen him but no use to basically waste a session when I have to leave town again. So I'll start up big time next week, yay! BUT....I did weigh myself after my gym session and I was down a few pounds! After the workout too which was very exciting because I've heard that your weight goes up after working out so that means I've lost some stubborn pounds. I think it's the heat, I don't want to eat much and I tend to just guzzle water to cool off. Whatever it is, it better keep up! lol. I didn't get a chance to go to the gym today but I went shopping with my best friend so I got some walking in. We did the whole girly thing, pedicures, lunch, shopping. It was nice to relax! We wanted to go see The Proposal but the times were off so I'll have to catch it sometime later.

Have a great day everyone!

Safina ~ I am sorry to hear about all the troubles! I am guessing Lacey didn't work out? I am betting she was the overbooked one...bummer! Did you sign a contract with Equinox that you can't break without a fee? Maybe you can try to get out of that and get a membership at another gym if possible. My former trainer now works at Equinox in LA and has been trying to get me to come try out training there but all they seem to care about is celebrity status, no thanks! I just want someone to watch my form and push me. I guess that is too much to ask for!

I wish I knew people out there to refer you to. Those classes in Central Park sound good! You should try that out. Good luck!
