Weight Loss Hydroxycut? Oct 19 2009

Seriously if the stuff worked then everyone would take it once and be done with the weight issue.  Go figure most of us have tried everything under the sun and end up resorting to (wait for it) diet and exercise.  If pills worked then those companies would no longer be in business as everyone would take them lose the weight and boom no need for more pills (which would mean the company that makes them goes under) it's all a scam to get your money.  They might raise your heart rate and make you jittery which would make you burn a few calories...hmmmm what else does that....oh now I remember, cocaine.  These conversations make me want to shake someone I've heard so many of them.

I was completely utterly and totally baffled that they didn't vote Tracey out.  Morons.

I have to say that I did like her husband on the video though.

Agreed on both.  I literally yelled WHAT?! when she got to pick the teams and team or no team they should have booted her out, maybe I'm petty and maybe I'm immature whatever I would have written her name down

Dress all in white and make a circular finger pad out of cardboard and voila you're an IPOD (middle school kids would totally appreciate that)

Young Calorie Counters pants size related to weight? Oct 14 2009

I was a size 20, 5'3" and 289....so sounds about right to me.  Don't be upset just do something about it (I did and now I'm a size 16 and 60 pounds lighter).  Do not depend on your clothes though in some stores I'm a 16 in some I'm a 14 in some I'm a 20 (forget 18s those never work either way), you can't count on your clothes as a reliable measurement system.  The scale is most likely right.

I was a Ben & Jerry's whore, like twice a week I'd kill a pint of that stuff.  Now I've learned that maybe that's not so smart but I still have a hard time around cake....i love cake

You could leave a passive agressive note on his door...that might work (no seriously, dear mr neighbor person, turn your effing tv down, thank you! Signed, NOBODY).  Personally I'm the person in my apartment building that leaves the TV on all night.  I usually fall asleep with it on and don't realize it till the alarm goes off in the morning.  Honestly if someone brought it up and said lady you're tv is too loud at 2am I'd make it a point to set the timer...but if you can't approach him, I'm all for unsigned notes taped on the door.

I know, for some reason Ace of Cakes kills my craving for cake (but he's nice to look at so I watch it sometimes anyway)

Apparently (and this is what I heard from my blubbering friend, she was so upset) there's a $1,000 minimum on the cakes so she went all the way down to MD from Jersey to do a tasting and everything.  Duff was there listening to what she wanted and everything but he left as they were doing the tasting because he didn't want to hear anything negative and that was that he was there to talk about a design for like 30 seconds and then bounced and said he couldn't handle negative comments about the way some of the cakes tasted.  I'm sorry but if I'm paying $1,000 for a cake that you can really only eat a portion of, I want something that tastes good if it doesn't taste good then I would have said something too.  I have another friend who works for CBS and said that when Bobby Flay comes in they all say make way for Flay and his ego....I was bummed to hear that

hahahahaha Sandra Lee is not my favorite either.  Duff I loved until a friend of mine ordered a cake and was heartbroken about what a dbag he is.  Alton Brown is my favorite, Paula Deen is just fun to watch, and I wonder every day how Rachel Ray's face hasn't cracked from smiling like that.

Sounds like I may have in the long run, they said a layoff wasn't what they were planning right now but they were planning something that would have made for some angry employees.  I still don't know exactly what but they were totally cool with my suggestion.

Like Ayn Rand said only other men can cause suffering and oppression. Eastern philosophy believes that suffering is caused by living up to other people's standards on how to live. Again only other people can cause you suffering.

Love that.  Even at my highest weight I thought I was beautiful and so did everyone else because I put it forward that I was a force to be reckoned with.  Even now I've lost 65 pounds and I have my days where I don't feel so hot but you just have to be happy with you, much easier said then done.  Keeping up with other people expectations or visions is honestly exhausting, do it for you.

I'm 27 and did WW three times so far.  Honestly it just got to be a little expensive and looking up points was a pain after awhile.  I lost about 20 pounds on WW (clearly it works if you stick to it) but then I came here and its free and almost everything has nutritional info on it (no looking up points!) so it's easier for me.  An added bonus is that I can come on here at midnight and find someone supportive, at WW I would have one meeting a week and my schedule is too crazy to stick to that. Joining their site costs even MORE money!  I love CC!

I'm young, I'm not married, I don't have kids, if I'm going to uproot my whole life I think now is my last chance to do it.  Honestly it'll be kind of nice to start off brand new where the only people that have crazy stories about me live in my house.

If you quit you will NOT be eligible for unemployment.

I also got severance when I was laid off and still collected unemployment.  There is no way I would have signed something if I thought it would interfere with unemployment.

I know that's what I was initially doing just quitting and walking away...now I may have some cards that are worth something if someone's going to walk anyway.

Honestly if I just give my notice then i have a couple thousand to get me through till i find something else but obviously any kind of money would help whether its a severance or unemployment, I wasn't planning on getting either until today when I realized that we have no work and the business is tanking.  I figured I might be doing them a favor you know?

I work in dispatch for a moving company, they did offer another employee a severance a couple months ago but he didn't take it.  I've been here almost 4 years so I was thinking if I go in and say there isn't enough work for two people in my department and it would save them money (which is all they care about) to pay me two months worth of pay I'll go at the end of the month and I will not file for unemployment...thoughts?  Ps you guys are mighty helpful thank you!

Thanks you guys, I will try and bargain something, if I get laid off or fired whatever then I can collect unemployment if only for a month or so (shouldn't be too hard getting a new job where Im going) which would help since I'm leaving either way.  I figured even paying for my unemployment would be less then having me work and work the overtime that I do, this way they'll save a few bucks and I prevent my boss from being the bad guy and having to lay someone off.  Still mulling it over I've been trying to talk to my boss all day but she's busy which is only making me more nervous......

Weight Loss 500 calorie a day diet....what Dr would say to do this? Sep 30 2009

That was my thinking, once she actually does get pregnant after being on 500 calories for awhile she could very well balloon at that point.  I too fall into the "obese" catagory and no doctor ever told me to go on 500 calories.  *sigh* just worried, I never want to see anyone fail at anything and this just kind of feels enevitable...thanks guys
