Weight Loss Women: How much weight do you gain before & lose after your period? Jul 22 2008

I gain a ton of weight right before my period. Normally I weigh a very steady 143lbs, but at the moment I'm closer to 150 with my PMS bloat. I retain tons of water weight for some reason, and the fact that PMS backs up my entire system doesn't help much, so I'm hoping that cranberry juice and an hour at the gym might help make me feel better and stop any cramps before they start :(

As is mine!

I'll have to hunt around to see how close I was >.>

It's really hard for me to get a good idea by the one picture you've got up, but I think you look like you could be anywhere from your mid-teens to early twenties.

If I had to come up with a number, I'd say maybe...nineteen, twentyish?

(I love your freckles, by the way =])

I'm like that as well! Apples and oranges just don't do it for me.

What about mangoes? They're rather exotic, and I think they're in season at the moment.

I've bought some prune juice which I plan to drink after dinner, and some fiber supplement powder to try out as well. I do eat quite a lot of dairy (I'm a cottage cheese addict) but hey, if it could help I may as well cut back on it as well during my week of no wheat :)

Lol. If this doesn't work, I'm definitely going to pay a visit to my doctor.

Thanks very much for your help, everyone!

Weight Loss what are your hip measurements? and what size pants do you wear? Jul 16 2008

xD I just ran upstairs to figure this out.

I'm 35" around my actual hipbones, but closer to 40 at my widest point (Is that very much? I look like I've got some junk in the trunk, but a five inch difference doesn't strike me as very much...). I think my favorite jeans are a size 7 or 8, but the tag has since fallen off and I can't quite remember. I usually shop around that range, but it varies of course :)

Thanks alot! I will definitely try that. Right now I eat maybe 1100-1200cals on an average day, so if I were to zig-zag...would I like, maybe up my intake to 1500-1600cals for a day or two and then go back to my regular eating habits the next?

Hi everyone!

Gwynneth

I'm about 5ft 5, and I'll be 19 in a little less then two weeks.

Starting weight: 170-ish

Current weight: 140

Goal weight: 125? I really have no idea, so I figure I'll stop when I'm happy with how I look.

I started dieting about a year and a half ago when I finally hit 170lbs and decided I needed a change. So far I've lost about 30lbs by eating consciously, but I think I've hit my plateau, so I'm going to start hitting the gym soon enough =)

I'd love to start swimming again, but I just can't seem to find a bathing suit that fits right.
